Hello everyone. It's 5:00 am and my husband is still asleep, but I had to share this awesome news.
I got married in December, and after a few months of trying naturally, despite absent periods from PCOS, I saw my OB/GYN, who referred me to a local RE. We started with Clomid, which did nothing, then switched to Femara. My doctor originally wanted to stop Femara after 3 rounds but we decided to try another round while I waited to get financial approval for injectible medications ( as our insurance doesn't cover fertility meds.) Amazingly the fourth time was the charm...as I got a bfp yesterday evening and again this morning!!
We did two things different this cycle from the others. First, we BD'd two days prior to the trigger shot, and then every day for four days after the shot, and we also tried Preseed. Since I'm overweight and have all the horrible PCOS symptoms, I thought my CM might be hostile, even though my RE hadn't commented on it. Anyway, I waited to test until my period was due, to avoid what I believed to be the inevitable negative. What an awesome surprise!!
As far as symptoms go, I really didn't have many this cycle. I cramped the day of ovulation, as I normally do after the trigger shot. I had some pulling pains about 3-4 dpo, then just mild cramping on and off until my bfp. Actually, at 15 dpo, when I first tested (so yesterday) I had had medium af like cramps, so I assumed af was on the way. Big surprise. Of course, on 15 dpo is when my nipples started to become sensitive, so I began to let myself hope, just a little bit. But considerin previous months I'd had all kinds of symptoms and always got a bfn, this month was surprisingly free of traditional symptoms.
I want to encourage everyone to not give up. I don't know what will happen next, but I'm excited now, and I want everyone to be encouraged. Don't give up, pray for peace of mind and heart, and don't let yourself get discouraged.
