Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP by Prayer

Got your BFP courtesy of the almighty? Amen! Send us your symptoms through this contact form.

I prayed for this bean to stay stuck...

So my husband 36 and myself 33 have been ttc since we were married in 2011 almost five years! We had one pregnancy that lasted for 11 weeks and three chemical pregnancies. Well here is how I received my BFP this time :)

I was on 50mg of clomid the two cycles previously but ran out of prescription.
I usually take .125mcg of synthroid and 7.5mg two times daily of Sustained release T3 for my Hypothyroidism, however I upped my T3 to 15mg twice a day to see if it made me more energetic as I kept forgetting my mid day dose and had tons of extras.

I was on quite a sushi kick for the TWW, however before we all panic it was cooked sushi!
Started going to a chiropractor as I had hip/back issues and had one massage too.
Didn't do ovulation testing due to it being a break cycle and no fertility meds, however we maintained our schedule with pre-seed and softcup combo CD 8 - CD 12. Didn't really track nothing this month as I just feel like a failure after years and years!

We did the deed on CD 5, CD 8, CD 10, CD 12, CD 18. My cycles are max 23 days, usually 21 so we were on a family trip and came back on CD 24 and tested mid afternoon and it came up positive. I just thought I was late from the clomid in my system from previous two months?! Totally shocked as I haven't had any symptoms that I can recall, maybe a bit tender breasts and frequent peeing, little diarrhea on CD 17 now I am a bit dizzy CD 25? Which all before have happened with no BFP.

I hope this is the one that sticks for us, I would be more than blessed and would thank the heavens above!!!

Wishing you all the luck on your ttc :)

History

One failed Ivf cycle but bfp naturally the month after (2012). Happy healthy 3 yr old girl conceived whilst on holiday with friends.

Prior to this history of miscarriages and after daughter no pregnancies for 3 years. Was about to give up hope and did Ivf with full expectation it would fail like it had before. I do want to impart advice on things I think made this cycle of ivf successful.

1. I made a series of lifestyle changes. I walked 3.5 miles a day 5 times a week ( I noticed improved blood circulation and stronger nails). This was one year in advance.

2. 2 weeks before I did 'cupping' therapy to get rid of all the bad blood.

3. One month before I gave up chocolate to reduce sugar highs...3 days before egg collection I kept 2 days of fasting Ie no food or drink from sunrise to sunset. This boosts your immune system.

4. During meds I went on short holiday to UAE to get some sun and see my friends

5. During meds my friend bought a large watermelon and huge box of cherries which I ate copious amounts of.

6. In middle of night I prayed really hard- I believe in power of prayer.

7. Day before ET I had acupuncture and also 3 sessions every other day thereafter.

8. I watched comedy videos just before et ( in hospital ) and immediately after. It's important to laugh .

9. Did not sleep well throughout Ivf due to work and 3 yr old. Made sure hubby and I did not bicker....luckily et on Saturday but back to work on Monday as normal. I seriously thought it was not going to work so had low expectations.

10. Day 8 after et, very faint line on test . Day 9 took digit and it was bfn. Day 12 bfp on digital!!!

11. From Ivf I produced 11 follicles, 5 eggs retrieved, only 2 embryos survived , one grade 2+ and other grade 2-. 3 day transfer with two embryos planted.
S
Almost 6 weeks no bleeding and nausea feeling. Wish me luck and lots of baby dust to you all... It will happen, just do some of the above and whatever works for you!!!

10 DPO BFP!! Hello, Rainbow Baby!

I'm going to try to keep this short, but... we'll see how that goes. Scroll to the bottom for symptoms by DPO.

I took Clomiphene (50mg) days 5-9 this cycle. This was my 6th time taking Clomiphene and have had a chemical pregnancy, a "missed miscarriage" at 7w5d and a loss after seeing a heartbeat at around 11w. Our most recent loss was a baby girl with Trisomy 8.
I also use Preseed lubricant internally, but I ran out on O day this cycle. We had sex every other day up until O and had sex the day before, day of, and the day after my positive OPK. I use Wondfo OPKS and they always stay positive for at least 2 days.

O day- CD 16, hardly any CM at all (worried)
DPO 1- crampy, crazy vivid dreams
2- more vivid dreams, EWCM?
3- vivid dreams
4-
5- mild cramping starts
6-mild cramping, backache, was pretty sure I was pregnant because of the backache, very tired
7- mildly crampy, backache, diarrhea in AM (big clue), very tired
8- weird green CM, tired
9-BFN, thought I was out, BAD gas
10- very faint positive in am on Wondfo, showed my husband and he saw it too, took 3 more tests including 2 Wondfos and a FRER around noon-- all positive! Never have gotten a positive this early.
11-13 more positives
14- Confirmed pregnancy at OBs office

The dead giveaways this cycle were the mild cramping and backache, although my cramping was much more severe last time I got pregnant. Also, I was exhausted! Luckily I was on vacation that whole week and I took naps or went to bed early during the last part of my TWW.

Good luck to everyone TTC and my heart goes out to everyone seeking their rainbow. I am terrified of another miscarriage, but I'm trying to take it day by day and just be thankful for another chance. We are praying for a healthy baby in early March.

4th month TTC - BFP @ 10DPO

So we've been actively trying for about 4 months. This month, we changed a few things up... and I just wanted to share my story.
In previous months, we would BD a lot BEFORE ovulation (since I read that this was most effective), but this month, we only BD about every other day during fertile week. Once I got the positive OPK, we BD every night for 3 days straight.

This was also my first cycle using Preseed (used applicator, but used less than the recommended amount). I used that throughout the entire fertile week, but never two days in a row because I didn't want to get an infection from messing with my PH.
This month, I also asked DH to take his vitamins consistently and lay off the caffeine (which he did, surprisingly).

Additionally, I read that taking a baby aspirin once a day helps with implantation (helps blood flow), so after ovulation, I began taking a baby aspirin each morning. (DH is a nurse practitioner, and approved of this... but I recommend you do your own research/ask doc. etc.)

*Note about prayer -- this was the first cycle that I turned to the Lord consistently. After sex, I prayed (in bed with legs elevated). Before sex, I prayed. During my 2ww, I prayed. I asked a few close friends to pray. If you're spiritual, I highly recommend prayer, meditation, etc. We are spiritual beings!

Signs/symptoms:
I really didn't have many this cycle... I tried not to get my hopes up, but there were some noticeable differences.

3-4DPO - tender breasts at certain points in the day. (Nothing excruciating, just hurt to jog, lay on my stomach); CM - medium amount, cervix closed, medium hard, medium-high

5 DPO - tender breasts in morning - weird cramps after sex. (This happened again while I was browsing around in the store... they were not menstrual cramps or lower abdomen cramps, it was up high.... never felt anything like this before); CM - drying up, tacky, cervix is same
6-8 DPO - tender breasts (again, not TOO bad), MOODY... not the average "I'm just in a bad mood," but more like "You used the wrong tone with me in the store and now I'm crying so hard I can't catch my breath". -- frequently felt like I wanted to strangle my husband for small things (no worries - he's not in danger =) ). I'm usually not like this with him, even before AF. CM - dry, cervix closed, coming down lower?, harder
*Took a New Choice (Dollar Tree) pregnancy test on 8DP0 (shame, I know) - negative, came back 2 hours later, showed positive. Thought was an evap line. Did one again later in the day, negative, 2 hours later, positive. WTH?
9DPO - lower abdomen feels heavy, not painful, but a deeper, softer cramp. Thought it might be AF, but was confused since these aren't normal-type cramps. CM - dry, cervix medium-high again, but a bit softer today... still harder than when I O.
10DPO - lower abdomen still heavy (crampy, but no PAIN). I think my areolas are getting a bit darker? Definitely still sore to lay on. Took FRER - VVVVVFL!! New Choice preg. test - FL! BFP!!!
11DPO - heavy abdomen... so hard to explain. It's like I have a 1 pound weight attached to my lower abdomen.

**NO SPOTTING - and I was paying close attention. I also never felt a moment of implantation.

Weirdest sign that I noticed --> my urine was SUPER light yellow since 2DPO... this is NOT normal for me, and I did not increase my water intake.
I read on some site that "back in the day" doctors had recorded that pregnant women had lighter urine... hmmm.
Even my pee in the morning wasn't very dark. I talked to DH - (being the NP and all), and he said "it just means you're more hydrated... it doesn't mean you're pregnant.) But sure enough, I am pregnant! This was the only VISIBLE change I saw.... but I knew something was up.

Biggest sign husband noticed --> Moodiness ("You were just super emotional, freaking out about small things that you usually don't freak out about.) I'm pretty emotional all the time, so this must have been pretty bad, ha!

BFP iUI #3

So I've stalked this forum for 2.5years now. Both my husband and I are 34. I have a 13 year old from a previous marriage. After 2 years we decided to start trying but had no luck. We decided to try iui. The doc did say my husband's sperm quality was low when we did the SA. We decided to proceEd and just pray there would be an improvement. My cycles are regular and I do ovulate. I feel it and chart my temp. Doctor put me on 50mg of clomid. I had really bad gas followEd by 3 strong cramps at 9dpo iui and what I think was implantation bleeding the next day. We went in for our scan at 7 weeks but the pregnancy failed to progress and I had a 6cm cyst. We waited and within a week I miscarried and the cyst dissolved. We waited a year before trying again, iui without meds. Because i did nlt want to get ankther cyst and i do ovulate. We did the iui on day 12 but i ovulated on day 13. That cycle was bust. We rested the next cycle and tried this month. I went in for a scan on day 11, follicle and lining looked good so I decided to just do a trigger. I ovulated in the morning on day 13 and procedure was done in the afternoon. The 2 week wait was uneventful. I had no obvious symptom. My stomach was a little queasy but I dismissed that. Then my boobs startEd to hurt a little. I took a test and saw a very faint line at 9dpo. Thought it was the trigger. Woke up at 10dpo iui and my nipples were sore to the touch. Took a test with fmu and got a stronger line. Took a digital at 11 dpo and it was positive too at 1 to 2 weeks. We got our positive the same time I was miscarryin last year. So this is definitely a blessing and we're so thankful. Praying that this little one will stay with us. It's now a 3 week wait before we get our first scan.

So ladies hang in there and don't worry too much if you don't have very many symptoms. You can still get a BFP.

BFP with very few symptoms

Hi!

If you're anything like me, you've just spent the last week stalking Google and YouTube which led you to here looking for even more tww symptoms or BFP success stories.

If so I hope this post can help if you're in your tww.

I just confirmed that I am two weeks pregnant! DH and I are elated, but a bit shocked since I had very few symptoms during the tww.

Here are my list of symptoms:
1-16 Dpo: Cramps, bloating, and gas (especially early in the morning)
8 dpo: 1 vivid dream

Yup that's it.

After reading through so many posts here I realized that there are other women out there with minimal tww symptoms as well. I thought maybe couldn't be pregnant because I didn't have nausea, sore boobs, fatigue, increased appetite, mood swings, etc. Just hoping to reassure someone out there that if you think you're pregnant, don't test too early, but don't be discouraged if you don't have a long list of symptoms.

Thank you to all the women who have posted. I was truly blessed to have read each and every one of your personal journeys.

Blessings and Baby Dust!

Pcos 34 TTC 18 months.. Praise the Lord!

I had been stalking this board so I wanted to share a success story! I was diagnosed with PCOS and had done a few months of femera with metformin without success. My husband and I decided to take a break from the fertility specialist. I continue taking the metformin. This past Friday I was a week late from getting my period. My cycles are around 35 days so I decided to take a test. It was just a dollar store cheap test but it came back with a light light second line. I decided not to tell my husband until I knew for sure. That day I called my doctor to get a blood test. They called me at 4 p.m. and my HCG came back at 78! She said you were pregnant! I am beyond thrilled! And so thankful. Lord's timing is so much better than mine! Praising Him for this beautiful gift he has put inside of me. I called the fertility office I hadn't been to in a few months and told them what was going on they were thrilled and said sometimes it just happens this way! Praying for all you ladies still going through this journey I know it is hard but there are all things He is teaching us along the way! This article encouraged me http://www.crosswalk.com/faith/women/biblical-encouragement-for-couples-waiting-to-conceive-11608040.html lots of truth in it!

Miracle BFP

I am so excited to be submitting my BFP story. My hope is that it will encourage someone else that may be going through what I and my DH have gone through. I am 35 and DH is 42. We have been trying to concieve for years with no success. This year, we decided to see a new RE and start over, since our past attempts did not work. I have PCOS, and do not ovulate without assistance, and DH has no issues. After having my cycles regulated by Meformin, I was able to move forward with Letrozole on days 3-7. Clomid did not work for me in the past, so my new dct prescribed Letrozole.
For months we tried TI, but decided after the last BFN cycle we would move on to the IUI. I am so thrilled to report that after only 1 IUI, we recieved our BFP today!!
Before testing, I had no sypmtoms. In fact, I had already began planning for IUI #2. I decided to POAS on a whim, because I wanted to see if the trigger was out of my system. Because I was soooo shocked about the + test, I went to the RE also for a BETA test today. The blood test confirmed that I am indeed pregnant! I am so excited and grateful that our dream is a reality. It truly is a miracle. It has been very challenging going through fertility treatments, but very well worth it. I want to encourage other women faced with PCOS or any other concerns to stay positive and know that IT CAN HAPPEN! Trust, believe, and keep the faith. Trust that your prayers will be answered. Its still early for me, and I'm still praying, but to know that after 4 years of BFN to get a BFP is a victory! Baby Dust to all of you and GL :-)!

BFP 15dpiui (first time) and i have PCOS

Just got confirmation from my dr now that my beta count is 103.

I have had little to no symptoms.

I'm not super religious but i did have everyone pray for us this time and kept telling myself i WAS pregnant.

Below is the story i posted a few days ago...

Hi ladies, I'm driving myself insane reading on the net and not finding what I'm looking for, perhaps someone here might be able to advise me...

I have PCOS but everything on my fiancés side is fine.
We recently moved and have been so busy unpacking boxes that we haven't really had time or energy for any intimacy (bad i know but it's the last thing on your mind when you get to bed at midnight and have to be up 5 hours later)

We have been ttc for over 2 years (long story - changed specialists as a result). Our new specialist said we need to try iui and possibly ivf at a later stage if no luck with iui. We went for our first iui treatment recently, on d3 - d7 of cycle i started laradex for 5 days, when i collected my script the receptionist told me i must come in for a scan on friday 6May, on Sunday 1May i lay awake in bed wondering what scan it was, in the past i was used to a 12d scan but perhaps the new specialist did things differently. Monday 2 May was a public holiday here in SA so first thing Tue morning i called the specialists offices to enquire about the scan, it turns out the receptionist had miscalculated and i was meant to go in the previous Friday, they quickly squeezed me in on Tue for a scan.

I had one follicle on each ovary measuring 23mm, he booked me in immediately for our iui.
My fiancé went and made his deposit and i waited while they washed it.
My concern is this:
1) we didn't do any trigger shots and
2)it had been approximately 2 weeks since we were last intimate (i know ideally it should be 2 - 3 days prior to iui so we were planning it on the day of the scan which is generally 2 - 3 days prior to the actual iui)
We didn't get told the stats of his swimmers either before the procedure.

They had a problem getting the catheter in and had to use a tenaculum (i bled for 2 days after). it is now 6dpuiu and i have had a uncomfortable feeling like AF is on her way since the procedure, besides that nothing except for a nose bleed this morning (i never get them)

I'm not expecting this to be a successful iui, what do you ladies think?

Never Give Up. This is for you.

I told myself if I ever get my BFP, I'll help someone just like this site has helped me.
1-3 dpo. Sleepy...but that's normal for me.
4 dpo. School glue present. Took nap after work.
5 dpo. Argument with DH. Still some school glue. Still tired. Thirsty after drinking at least a half gallon of water. I ate a foot long sub in the am. Then Ruby Tuesday's that evening.... I don't normally eat that much...but I figured it's bc AF is on the way.
6 dpo. Heavy feeling in pelvic area. Mild pain in left pelvic area. Hungry.
7 dpo. OMG. All day...lower left abdomen dull cramps continue that even made my left leg ache with each pinch. Smh. It stopped around 9pm. I'm praying this was implantation.
8 dpo. Woke up around 1am refreshed....thought it was 7am...lol. O, and had to pee...I never wake up around that time. Weird. No cramps so far. I don't notice much school glue but my breast are now fuller (but that's normal around this time). Still have this heavy feeling in lower left pelvic area. As if af is on...I'm now feeling slight aches in lower left back and left butt cheek. Lol. So weird. One glob of yellow CM later that day. Gassy.
9 dpo. Woke up hungry. No cramps until after 5p...then it returns. Feels like af is near. Lower left back dull aches. Increased watery CM. Bloated. Still got this heavy feeling in uterus. Went to the gym for less than 12 mins and I normally do at least an hour...lol. Sneezing. Burping. Flatulence. Qeefing. Dry eyes. Took a test around 3p......BFN w/FRER !! I shouldve known better but read some ppl get a + early...
10 dpo. Woke up around 4am. Took a test...BFN w/FRER using FMU. Ugh! It's mothers day too....thought I'd have a pleasant surprise. Thought about my miscarriage yrs ago and I started crying....Start to cramp again around 8 am while laying down and it continues through out the day. Rough day for me.
11 dpo. Today...Woke up around 2am to pee. Burping as if i just ate but I didn't. Breast now starting to feel weird. Heightened sense of smell. Went to work.....ate a huge plate of Chinese food like it wasn't nothing....all while being hot at the same time. Felt real juicy down there too. Went home...decided to torture myself again....took a test around 3p....BFP using FRER!! Dropped to my knees and started praising the Lord! Won't he do it! I'm still in shock.
*The only thing I did different was stay on top* Lol. May God bless each of you! Praying for a healthy baby. *******************Baby dust**********************
