I got my BFP about a year ago and now have a lovely 12 week old boy.
When I was trying to get pregnant I spent hours on this site looking at everyones symptoms so thought I should come back and share my store hoping that it might help someone else. Sorry I have forgotten all of the abbreviated words - you will have to endure the long version.
I have a bicornuate uterus & before trying I did a 30day tea cleanse (hoping it would increase my chances - not sure if it did but I did feel very healthy afterwards). We used sperm meets egg plan and got pregnant the second month of trying.
Most times I get my period I can get the following symptoms - mild cramps, cranky mood, emotional, sick stomach, back pain and bad bowel movements. Most periods are fine but these symptoms CAN appear so I tried to ignore these while in my two week wait (otherwise I would go crazy).
First Symptom - Approx 2 days after ovulation my sleep pattens changed dramatically. I usually sleep 8.5-9 hours a night and as soon as I got pregnant I couldn't get to sleep before midnight and was suddenly sleeping only 6 hours (I was wide awake). It felt like a chemical change in my body (or like I had had loads of caffeine). This was the very first symptom and ended up lasting for a couple of months.
A couple of days later I got extremely bad headaches and felt very faint most of the day. This again was very usual. I never get headaches so stuck out as some change happening to my body.
A few days after that my eye started twitching uncontrollably and all day/night (very unusual). This is when I started to think I could be pregnant. This lasted about 2 weeks and I googled that other people have had the same symptom in early pregnancy (very odd).
The last symptom was that my fingers went very pruned (Like I had been in the bath for hours). This lasted about 1-2 weeks.
all of the above happened and then I took a pregnancy test two days before my period was due and it came back a strong positive sign.
I had no sickness, tiredness, emotional symptoms so it taught me that symptoms can be varied and unusual. Don't worry if the standard symptoms aren't happening to you.
I wish everyone the best of luck with their journeys and hope for the best for everyone on this site!
**Regarding having the bicornuate uterus (if anyone has the same). I carried until 39.5 weeks. The baby was in the right side (so my bump was on one side), natural long birth and all went well. Basically it is very possible to have a healthy pregnancy. I travelled about 5 times and worked a stressful job up until the day of the labour when my water broke in a shopping mall. Its very possible.
