BFP After Early Stillbirth

Hi everyone! First of all, this was our fifth cycle trying. I had taken two tests - on CD 27, 31, and 34 - all BFNs. I was convinced I wasn't pregnant, I thought it was stress from moving. I barely charted any symptoms, unlike all the other previous cycles. Even so, I'll try to remember something for you guys. My stomache would feel weird sometimes from eating. Sometimes it felt like nausea, sometimes like the food just felt weird in my stomache. I was a tiny bit bloated, but mainly, I smelled things that no one else smelled. I would also randomely take naps throughout the day and wake up 2 hours later, to my surprise. These were my cues that made me start testing so early, but nothing was positive. Until.... CD 39. I was giving myself no chance, my husband wasn't either, we were just like, "Let's get this out of the way." To our utter surprise, the test turned positive. (I must have ovulated late.) We are absolutely overjoyed. I want to also share with you an encouragement, even though there are sad parts to it. I became pregnant in August 2016 with everything going well until our ultrasound at 10 weeks. Our baby had an enlarged NT (nuchal translucency). That NT kept growing and growing. I don't want to scare anyone on here, but at 12 weeks, my doctors said there was no chance this baby was making it and that she would die soon. She was diagnosed with Turner's syndrome at 15 weeks. In the middle of the pain, the shock, and the total disbelief that God could let this happened, I eventually came to find absolute peace in Him, and to realize that He did not intend my daughter to have this genetic disorder, someone else did. My daughter Ella died at 21 weeks sometime at the end of December and was born on January 8th. Even though I still mourn her, I know she's with her Father in Heaven, and that's such a victory. My husband and I have grown so much in our relationship with God as well. So, fast-forward to us trying for almost 7 pretty long months to this absolute miracle. I think it's still not sinking in, but I'm hopeful and pray that I place my trust in Him every day. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hope after irregular periods and cerazette

I came off cerazette and it took me 3 months for my periods to return. I thought it would be really hard to conceive as before I was on the pill I had irregular periods. I charted and took my temperature/ my BBT and used Opk tests to know when I was ovulating. (really recommend reading Taking charge of your fertility) and took angus cast us to regulate my cycles.
I was thrilled to fall pregnant the second cycle after coming off the pill.
1dpo
2dpo- had massive moodswing
5dpo - 9dpo -funny little cramps a bit like menstrual cramps but slightly different. Also totally wiped out and breathless.
10dpo - faint bfp on frer
11dpo -clearer bfp on frer
12dpo - cramping and spotting, digital test says not pregnant. Was devastated but now realise this must have been implantation bleeding and the digital test wasn't sensitive enough to pick up the hormones.
13 -19 dpo cramping continued, had sharp pains in my boobs. But bfps got darker.
19dpo - got bfp using digital which said pregnant 2-3weeks

I had read many horror stories for coming off cerazette so hope this gives people hope. I also recommend the opks as I ovulated later than most women on day 21 of cycle and was able to catch the egg!

Bfp at 9dpo after 2 mths trying

So excited to finally get to do my own story!
Me - 31 yrs old. Hubby - 34 yrs old
Came off the pill in January 2017. We wanted to have a baby in 2018 so the first 3 months were getting thinhs normal. The first cycle was 32 days, then the next cycle was 28 days. That's where it then went haywire. Third was 37 days. This was stem i decided to start temping. The 4th cycle was 38 days. This was our first month of actively trying. After temping it turns out i only have a 10 day luteal phase so had i not been temping i would have been trying at the wrong time. This brings me to our succesful cycle.

My ovulation was delayed a couple of days i think due to a little cold i had. This resulted in a longer cycle of what would have been 41 days. This meant we DTD fpr 7 days straight just waiting for that temp to go up! I tried OPKs but never got a positive. Only a faint line. So i didnt find them useful.

-6 to 0 - DTD. Only difference this cycle i put a pillow under my butt for 30 mins in the last 3 days. I also didn't go to the loo or stand up til the morning. Difference this cycle i also had tender breasts 4 days before O which was not normal. Also had EWCM 4 days before O. Temp -1DPO 36.3

0 - EWCM. DTD. Sick with a cold/mild flu from -1DPO to 4DPO. I thunk this may have helped. Apparently your immune system is lowered and less likely to attack his swimmers. Temp 36.4

1DPO - EWCM. Sick with cold. Temp 36.8.

2DPO - creamy cm. Pimple break out. Still have cold. Temp 36.8. Also my 31st birthday!!!

3DPO - creamy cm. Gassy. Cramps. Still have cold. Temp 36.8

4DPO - creamy cm. Still have cold. Temp 36.7

5DPO - creamy cm. Cold finally over. Temp 36.9. Sore boobs start (and have still not let up now at 11DPO)

6DPO - sore boobs. More pimples which is definitely not liked me. Starting to get suss. Temp 36.8

7DPO - sore boobs. Gassy. And this is when i got super sick. Diarrhoea that got me by surprise i didnt make it to the toilet (sorry TMI). Temp still 36.8. Had the worst sleep. Body aches started, like the flu. One more diarrhoea episode that night.

8DPO - sore boobs. No appetite whatsoever. No appetite means no food which means no diarrhoea at least. Terribly body aches. Slept all day. Temp 38 degrees...fever! Temp discarded. Boobs normally stop hurting at 8 DPO if AF coming.

9DPO - more pimples. What's going on! Temp back to 36.8. Body aches gone but still fatigued. Appetite slightly back. Headache. First very faint BFP on internet cheapie in AM. Little sussed. Did another internet cheapie at PM and slightly more darker. Horrible sleep. Maybe cos my brain was racing and my boobs were killing.

10DPO - sore boobs. Gassy. Slight cramps. More pimples OMG. Dizzy. Very fatigued. Got home from work and decided to bring out the big guns - FRER. Very clear dark BFP and a YES on the digital!!!!!! Wooooooo!!!!!

Now on 11DPO. Blood test tomoro. Much darker BFP on internet cheapie after work today. So tired by the arvo. And hungry! Boobs still hurting :(

We did not expect this to hapoen so quick. I had PCOS as a teen as into my early 20s. My long cycles were also freaking me out. I definitely swear by temping! Can't wait to meet our healthy little bub! Bub also looks to be due on our 3rd wedding anniversary :)

BFP after miscarriage

I am 24 and my husband is 30. We have a 17 month old daughter and around the time she turned one we were ready to start trying for our second. I had a missed miscarriage before I conceived my daughter and it took 9 months after that to then get pregnant with her. I have LONG 40-43 day cycles and I was recently diagnosed with polycistic ovaries. The positives were that I do ovulate on my own despite the long cycles and I have one healthy baby that I carried to term. We started trying for our second in December and in March I fell pregnant but miscarried the day after I had a positive test. I was feeling pretty discouraged as that was now my second miscarriage and my cycles are so long. In May I went to see a fertility specialists to pick his brain and get down to the reason of my long cycles. An ultrasound showed my ovaries were very polycistic. He said this would be causing my long cycles and could be the potential reason for my miscarriages. I am not overweight and I don't have any other PCOS symptoms. I happened to be around the time of ovulation and the scan showed I had one very ripe follicle at 18mm so I was feeling optimistic. He wanted me to come back two days later to check and see if it got any bigger or if it was just a cyst. I went back and it was then 22mm so he gave me a trigger hcg shot right then and two days later on May 6th I ovulated (verified by ovulation cramps on my right side which is where the scan showed the follicle.)

May 4th: HCG trigger 400ml
May 6th: Ovulation day
We had sex on May 2, 4, 5, and 6 using pre-seed which I also used when I conceived my daughter.
Took progesterone suppositories from 3 DPO-still taking

1 DPO: Creamy CM, Minor backache, bloated, gassy, tired, skin breakout.
2 DPO: Creamy CM, Backache, bloated
3 DPO: Creamy CM, Backache, bloated
4 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated, Feeling down because no real symptoms and I thought I was for sure not pregnant
5 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated
6 DPO: Creamy CM, Backache for a very short period of time, bloated, slightly nauseous in the car but probably just car sick
7 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated, Still bummed and feel completely normal.
8 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated, Skin breakout, fatigue (probably from the progesterone)
9 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated
10 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated, Fatigue, slightly tender breasts, Still feeling out this cycle.
11 DPO: Creamy Cm, Bloated
12 DPO: Creamy CM, Bloated, Decided to take a test with FMU so I could see the negative and get past the disappointment of the cycle. The test turned positive almost immediately. BFP! Shocked. Least amount of symptoms I have had on a BFP cycle. The test was a very noticeable line but not a dark positive yet. Still a little nervous but hoping the test is darker in a few days when I take another.

Trying to conceive is a complete emotional rollercoaster. Stay optimistic even if you don't feel pregnant at all!

Metformin miracle!

So excited to finally get to put my BFP story here!

First, a little background. My husband I decided to start trying for our rainbow in December of 2016. I had my IUD removed and was so excited to get started. Unfortunately, I've always had extremely irregular cycles, and in all of 2016 I only ended up having 4 very long cycles, with only 2 of them being ovulatory. After trying so many different methods and supplements to regulate my cycle on my own, I finally went to the doctor after a full year of trying. I was pretty quickly diagnosed with PCOS (which explained A LOT) and presribed Metformin. I was skeptical that the Metformin alone would get me ovulating, but my first cycle after I started taking it I not only ovulated, but relatively on time (CD 21)! Unfortunately, that cycle didn't end up with a BFP, but the very next cycle did! Here's a rundown of my symptoms leading to the BFP:

CD 28: O day. It was a little later than I would like, but at least I O'd!
1-3 DPO: Usual post O symptoms, cramping, a little tired, sore breasts (very normal TWW symptom for me)
4-6 DPO: Lots of strange cramps and twinges, some sharp stabbing pains
7 DPO: Still feeling my usual TWW symptoms, feeling very thirsty and very bloated
8 DPO: Took an HPT in the AM, knowing it was way too early but swear I see a very faint line. Eventually chalk it up to being an indent. Feeling very thirsty and very frequent urination - both of which are unusual for me. Breasts very sore and swollen, more than normal.
9-10 DPO: Feels like my breasts have grown a cup size. BFN's both days, which was a big let down after the faint line on 8 DPO. Counted myself out for the cycle and feeling very defeated. Still extremely thirsty and using the restroom a lot!
11 DPO: Took an HPT in the morning, and there was the faintest of lines. I was skeptical of it because it was an internet cheapie strip and I'd already been let down by the indent line a few days before. Starting to feel more hopeful though. Breasts are extremely sore and huge, very thristy, constantly feel like I need to pee. Very tired, although that's not unusual for me right before AF, not having much of an appetite and can't finish dinner, that was very strange.
12 DPO: Faint but definitely there BFP! I still didn't trust the cheapie strips so I bought a FRER on my lunch break and again, a faint but for sure there pink line! I couldn't believe it! Still tired and thirsty, very big and sore breasts, still don't have much of an appetite.
13 DPO- Now: Darker lines on the HPT's, starting to feel pregnant now.

Really the only symptoms during my TWW that were different than normal were being thirsty, frequent urination, and the loss of appetite. My biggest piece of advice would be to not wait to see the doctor if you're having very irregular or absent periods. I probably would have had that BFP a lot sooner had I gotten help earlier. There's a lot of information floating around about "miracle" supplements for PCOS and infertility and maybe they work for some, but really, if you're missing cycles you need to see a doctor who can help you find out why!

BFP 10dpo with PCOS

Skip to the bottom if you don't want the background story :)

My story: I've never had a normal period, partially due to having an eating disorder for many years. We went off birth control in August 2016 and I just knew getting pregnant wasn't going to be easy for us. I gained 80 pounds since 2012 and am now 165pds at 5'6" and can't lose weight no matter how hard I try.

I had one period between August and November. I had intense ovary pain (like someone poured icy hot over my ovaries) so I went in for an ultrasound. Ovaries had cysts all over them. OB wanted to wait a little longer but suspected PCOS.

I didn't have a period for another 90 days so I had another ultrasound in February 2017. Was officially diagnosed with PCOS and put on Metformin 500mg twice a day.

In March, I had spotting for two weeks. In Early April, I had spotting for five days. I guess they were sort of periods?

April 19th- Ovulation day: Temp 97.5. I got my first blazing positive OPK ever. I hadn't been using OPKs because I gave up on them but I was having sore nipples and lots of CM so I decided to take one (haven't had these symptoms since I was a teenager!). BD'd right away because I was so excited. We BD'd the night before too. Light menstrual-like cramping.
1dpo: Temp 98.16. sore, erect nipples continue. Light menstrual-like cramping.
2-3dpo: Temp 98.3. sore, erect nipples. Very little CM.
4dpo: Temp 98.67. Nipples slightly sore, light central cramping in uterus, left side pain (I usually have right side pain). Gassy and irritable. Menstrual cramps.
5 dpo: Temp 98.47. menstrual cramps, gassy
6 dpo: Temp 98.54. left side cramping/pain, no more sore nipples, noticed I had several BMs in one day (I'm usually constipated). White creamy CM mixed with watery CM. Restless sleep. Exhausted- nap on lunch break.
7 dpo- Temp 98.6. Exhausted. Waking up a lot throughout night. BFN.
8 dpo- Temp 98.48. Restless sleep. Hot flashes and burning sensation in uterus in the night. Weird dreams. DH dreamt we had a baby. Morning nausea. Right side twinges. Feeling off- shaky. Low back pain when I was in bed trying to fall asleep. BFN.
9 dpo- Temp 98.6 BFN. Pretty sure I'm out this cycle. Tired like I didn't sleep at all (I slept 9 hours). Left side twinges. I dreamt I was pregnant.
10dpo- Temp 98.61. Slightest of slight second line on a cheapie HPT. Convince myself it's an evap. Use SMU on First Response HPT and see a faint second line! Take four more tests, all with faint second line. Take digital clearblue in the afternoon- said Not Pregnant but it might just be too early and too diluted. Left sided twinges and menstrual cramps. "Background Nausea" where I feel slightly nauseous off and on but it isn't terrible.
11 dpo- BFP on First Response Digital!! Random morning nausea where I legitimately thought I was going to puke. Cramps.
12dpo- Blood test- HCG is 50 and Progesterone is 22! Consistently having cramps. Icy hot feeling on ovaries. Gas.
13dpo- Go in for ultrasound. Ovaries look good (no cysts!). Too early to see baby. Gas.
14dpo- Blood test- HCG 137 (good news, more than doubled in 48 hours like it's supposed to). Gas.
Hope this baby sticks! I'm cautiously optimistic.

Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture - they worked for me!

I've been following these ttc threads for 6 months now while TTC for my first baby. Finally I can since I have my BFP despite thinking it wouldn't happen!! Here's my story.

TTC since Sept 16. Before this I had been on and off the pill for years and due to constantly coming on and off the pill I had screwed up my hormones and created a hormonal imbalance within my body. After I came off the pill I had irregular cycles ranging 35-39 days and would ovulate very late (around day 23). I figured this out by using ovulation packs. Also, my periods were very light, about 2 days in duration. Additionally, the serious amount of acne on my chin and cheeks confirmed I had a hormonal imbalance.

With an aim to bring my O date forward to day 14 and achieve a 28 day cycle I started Agnus Castus (1000mg per day) which I purchased from Amazon. Within a month I was ovulating bang on day 14 and having my period exactly two weeks later. However, my periods continued to be very light..around 2 days (also i would spot 2 days before this), I still had the acne, and I couldn't get pregnant. I realised that the short periods meant that I had a very thin uterine lining meaning implantation was almost impossible. Agnus Castus didn't appear to rectify this problem.

Therefore I looked to Chinese Medicine (TCM). On 1st March I went to a Chinese medical doctor specialising in Fertility in East London (message me for details - he is amazing). I sat down with him, told him my story, and he gave me a selection of herbs to boil and drink twice a day to bring about ovulation. Once I confirmed ovulation he adjusted the herbs to include herbs to increase blood flow to the uterus and thicken my uterine lining. I also had weekly acupuncture on my stomach to increase blood flow to my uterus. Well, just under a month later, I am pregnant!!!

BFP 11DPO (VITEX)!!!

I'm so excited to finally be able to share my BFP story! Here is some background info first. I came off of BC pills 7 months ago. Since then, I have started charting my BBT, which made me realize that I have very irregular cycles and erratic BBT. My first two cycles were somewhat normal (35 ish days) with ovulation. Then I had an anovulatory cycle that I induced with Provera after 55 days.

I was hoping that my cycle would become regular after inducing AF with Provera. But after 40 days and no sign of ovulation (I was using OPK every day), I finally decided I needed to try Vitex. I had read about it online and knew that it helped regulate women with very irregular and long cycles.

After exactly two weeks of taking Vitex AF showed up. I started the new cycle with confidence and started using my CBFM and OPK on top of that. Then days went by again with no ovulation in sight. I thought Vitex wasn't working for me and felt very discouraged. I still continued taking Vitex but I stopped using OPK from CD 25-33.

At CD 33 I started getting really fertile CM. It stretched several inches and I had butt loads of it (TMI). This made me pee on an OPK stick and it showed POSITIVE!!! That was with diluted evening urine too. I had positive OPKs for the next two days and we BDed a few times.

I got my BFP at 11 days DPO and a darker BPF today at 13 DPO!!!

For those of you with long cycles, please don't lose hope and continue checking with OPK. My DH and I would not have BDed if I hadn't checked to see if I ovulated bc DH was very sick days before I ovulated.

I know it's long, but I wanted to give hope to those with long and irregular cycles!!

BFP at 12DPO after 2 years of trying...

I have been visiting this web site since few months and It helped me a lot with my two week wait and with all my crazy questions. Finally got my BFP on March 2nd on a dollar tree HPT. Blood test same day and again after a week, both came positive and normal. Having my 7 weeks ultrasound this March 23rd. hoping to hear the heartbeats.

My journey:
I have PCOS and my cycles were really long. Metformin, yoga and PCOS diet (low carbs) helped with my cycles and I lost over 25 pounds since last year. My cycles started getting regular and shorter, between 32 to 37 for last four months which is great for a PCOS patient. I started ovulating on my own and exactly cycle date 17-18. Before I was not sure if I was ovulating since my cycles were very unpredictable. This was my 4th round of clomid 50 mg and got my BFP at 12 DPO.

Things we tried this cycle:
Clomid (day 5-9)
Preseed
soft cups (highly recommend)
Ovasitol
metformin

My symptoms:

Sore and tender breasts
frequent trips to bathroom
strong smell
very light on and of cramps
light spotting

Do not loose hope or stress yourself. God has better plans for us. I thank god every single day now:))

BFP TTC #1 - one month

Hi all,

So, I got my BFP after only one month of trying. (Though, it could technically be 2 months...in January we just decided to throw caution to the wind but I was pretty sure I had already ovulated). I am SHOCKED, to say the least...as well as nervous and very very excited! There's still some unknowns as I had some spotting last week and symptoms disappearing, but HCG levels look good and doc wants an early ultrasound to confirm "Viable pregnancy" next Friday.

1dpo-2dpo - Nothing really. I kept thinking I felt warmth in my uterus, but it was likely in my head. lots of watery cm
3dpo - felt some cramping. Later that evening I was exhausted and couldn't keep my eyes open. I was SUPER hot all night, and felt uncomfortable in my skin. I thought I was getting the flu. Woke up in the middle of the night sweating hard.
4dpo-7dpo - creamy CM. tender bb's, which is normal for me before AF. Nothing too bad
8dpo - neck started becoming stiff. felt like I was getting the flu again...felt like my glands were swollen, went to bed early
9dpo - REALLY thought I was getting the flu. Body ached, felt like I was hit by a train, temp was 99.3...decided to test with a cheapie 10miu with FMU...could have sworn I saw a faint faint faint shadow of a line but convinced myself I was seeing things.
Stayed in bed all day. Held my pee for 4 hours and took a FRER just to satisfy curiosity...faint positive BFP!
10dpo - all symptoms GONE. nothing. line on HPT not any darker, still SO faint. Confused and scared
11dpo - EXHAUSTION...legs hurt, cramping, bloating, felt like I was hit by a train again. Needed to curl up in bed after work early. Can't believe I even made it through the work day
12dpo-14dpo - NOTHING. All symptoms disappeared. I felt like I was NUTS. FRER line was slightly darker on 13dpo but still not dark.
Started seeing some "spotting" (hard to explain...it looked like my normal brown tinged discharge before AF. SO scared I was having a chemical pregnancy
14dpo - called OB and they got me in for blood test right away. HCG = 282, progesterone somewhere around 28? Doc said all looked OK but needed to test again
16dpo - tested HCG again
17dpo (today) - doc calls and HCG = 651, progesterone around 28 i think. She said all seemed normal for early pregnancy!

Wants to do an ultrasound on March 24th to confirm viable pregnancy.

Can't believe I got a BFP so early!

We used preseed...like every time. We also BD'ed every day, for like 9-10 days straight during my fertile window. I'm pretty sure DH was getting tired by the end lol.

Anyway, I'm 31, DH is 31 (we actually have the same birthday)

Due date is November 14th so far...but I think it's more like November 17th. I ovulated late...I usually have 28-29 (MAYBE up to 31 day) cycles. I O'ed on CD18.

Hoping this baby sticks!!
