Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP with Preseed

Pre-Seed, the sperm-friendly lubricant (and only lube that should be used while trying-to-conceive) is a staple of the TTC community. We love it, and we'd hazard a guess that all these ladies on this page with BFPs speak highly of it as well!

If you don't have Pre-Seed yet, we recommend you pick some up at Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com. It ships for free anywhere in the U.S. or Canada, and comes with free pregnancy tests. Can't beat that. And when you get your Pre-Seed assisted BFP and you're ready to give credit where credit is due, by all means, send us your symptoms here!

BFP no symptoms after 6 months ttc!

So I vowed to myself that if I got pregnant I would share it with all of you since I've been a creeper on here since like my 3 months ttc. My period was due the 24 it is never a day late ever, if anything it is a day early sometimes. Well no period and then the 25th I'm 2 days late I decided to take a pregnancy test because I didn't really have any symptoms so I was nervous to test before missed period except I had back pains but nothing out of the norm like 2 days before expected period, but I wasn't feeling like myself and it didnt seem like my period was going to come anytime soon so I took the pregnancy test first thing in the morning and BFP! I was so excited I was shaking, what me and DH did differently this month, we used preseed and I took baby aspirin to thicken my uterine lining we did this starting lastmonth and nothing but our second month sure did the trick I believe or really it didn't hurt our chances Baby dust to you all !

Pregnant Following a Chemical Pregnancy Last Month

Hello, I am in shock and disbelief still. July 24 was actually my bleed after getting a very, very, very faint positive bfp a couple days earlier. This faint test appeared at 13 dpo and was negative the next day. My doctor confirmed that my hcg was back to zero and this bleeding ended. So my husband and I decided to try again after careful thought. We did not BD often in August as our work schedules conflicted. We BD on CD 10, CD12, CD14, and CD15. My opk was positive on CD15 and Fertility Friend confirmed my ovulation for CD17. Symptoms: 2DPO: anxiety, fatigue, emotional, increased sex drive 3DPO: creamy cm, hot, fatigue, sore boobs 4DPO: scant cm, boobs achy in the center, faint burning on sides of boobs, increased sex drive 5DPO: sore boobs, fatigue, increased sex drive 6DPO: increased sex drive, creamy cm 7DPO: no cm at all (very dry), cp high, increased sex drive 8DPO: no cm, CP way high (I can't reach it), fatigue, dizzy, increased sex drive, faint positive Wondfo test today 9DPO: no cm, all symptoms GONE, Clear Blue Digital Weeks Estimator "Pregnant 1-2", sharp twinges in pelvic area lower left, sex drive WAY UP!!! Sharp cramp at night and heavy uterus feeling, Beta HCG at 35 10DPO: little creamy cm, heavy uterus like AF is on heavy but it is not on, faint nausea, burning cramps on lower left pelvic area, increased sex drive, no appetite, Wondfo test way darker and Pregnent result on digital CB. 11DPO: faint brown spotting at night when I wipe, CBWE jumped to "Pregnant 2-3", incredibly horny, fatigue, no appetite 12DPO: no cm, heavy uterus, light brown spotting not on underwear, increased sex drive, no appetite 13DPO: HCG beta at 240, light brown spotting, heavy uterus feeling gone, cramps on lower right pelvic region strong, lost 4 pounds since 8DPO:(, increased sex drive 14DPO: backache and anxiety, but appetite is back somewhat 15DPO: no symptoms but winded easily So I have continued to POAS because of my chemical last month. Last month, I only had one faint BFP. This cycle, I have had BFP's everyday 8DPO. I have never been more horny in my life and I never had such a dry luteal phase before. I am usually creamy cm from ovulation through to AF.

Pregnant!

Hi Ladies, Yesterday I got my BFP. Things seemed to align this month. I ov'd right before I had a big holiday, I have been surrounded by babies and preg friends and finally decided to be happy for them and not envious... I had a miscarriage in January. After the m/c I went into panic mode decided to buy every vitamin and fertility aid in the book. Prior to the MC I had regular cycles. I couldn't understand why they were so irregular after the miscarriage. I was ovulating 2x in a month, my cycles were up to 40 days! It was so frustrating. I spoke to a friend who works in the medical field and she mentioned that vitamins can shock your system and cause irregularities! One month after I stopped taking prenatals and a B50complex my cycle was completely normal. OV'd on day 15 and got my BFP. 1-6 DPO- Nothing 7 DPO - Slight breakout 8 DPO - Breast tenderness (1 breast only?) Exhaustion 9 DPO - Weepy, breast tenderness increasing, creamy CM, hot flashes, cramps, no energy at the gym 10 DPO -At the cottage, had a party weekend, breasts seemed huge, mid-back pain, exhaustion, creamy mixed with ewcm cm 11 DPO - 12 DPO - Hot flashes, back pain, breast tenderness/fullness, cramps, frequent urination, blood when I brushed my teeth 13 DPO - AF like cramps, hot flashes, exhaustion, slight brownish spotting only when checking cevx (thought it was for sure AF), got a pregnancy test, thinking once it was negative I'd buy a big bottle of wine and husband and I would plan for next month. I brought the test into work, snuck it into the bathroom and holy it was positive, like really positive. In total shock! My biggest lesson after having a miscarriage is... don't think you can get preg right away. My new doctor says he advises patients to allow at least three months for their hormones to regulate. My initial doctor told me I could get preg right away and it caused me lot of stress. Also, maybe hold off on the vitamins, especially if you never used them before. I think If I was still ODing on vits that I wouldn't be where I am now. I hope it all works out. It is very exciting. Good luck ladies and just know it will happen :)

BFP @ 11 DPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I have been TTC our first baby for 3 months now. I'm 25 and he is 24. Was convinced I had every symptom in the book during the first month we were TTC, but took a little more realistic approach with this month's symptoms. :) BD'd two days before O, on O day and two days after O day [confirmed by OPKs and temp]. 1 DPO - No notable symptoms. 2 DPO - Felt bursting with pee at 4 in the morning even though I didn’t drink any liquids before or near bedtime the night before. Other than that - no symptoms at all whatsoever. 3 DPO - Mild constipation..could be unrelated? No other notable symptoms. 4 DPO - Mild breast tenderness [normal between O and AF]. Very small amount of clear wet CM. 5 DPO - Bloated. Small amount of wet CM. 6 DPO - Bloated. Breasts hurting SLIGHTLY on sides [again, this is normal]. Bit of a runny nose and headache in the morning...nothing too noteworthy though. Very tired in the afternoon [sometimes normal]. Experiencing some back pain. 7 DPO -Big spike in temperature. Tossed and turned all night/having hot flashes. Woke up with a pounding headache [could be because I didn’t sleep well?]. Tinge of a sore throat. Feeling very fluish w/ very high temp. Weird heart palpitations in the morning which scared me, as I never feel this. Did some research and apparently this can happen in pregnancy?? Experiencing lower back pain and neck pain [odd]. Achy feeling all over. Continuous headache and drowsiness. Overall feeling out of it...just not fully myself. 8 DPO - Temp takes a large drop in the morning. Lowest post O temp yet [but still above coverline!]. Feeling deflated/irritable/depressed. Feel like I'm out for the month. No notable symptoms at all whatsoever. Not even a tingle! Went to gym and biked for an hour. 9 DPO - Big rise in temperature. Slightly nauseous/headache in the morning/runny nose - feeling very fluish again w/ the rise in temp. Tired [napped a couple hours late afternoon]. Sensitive teeth. Full breasts. 4 sharp shooting pains in left boob. 10 DPO - Another rise in temp. Woke up very constipated..second time this week. [very unusual for me - I have bowel movements like clockwork]. Feeling a little queasy but can’t justify as full on symptom. Full breasts. Took a dollar store pregnancy test first thing in the morning and within 10 minutes, I could make out VERY FAINT line. It was BARELY there [had to turn it in the light a certain way to be able to make it out] 11 DPO - Tossed and turned all night. Hot flashes. Vivid dreams [dreamed I was pregnant]. Woke up around 4:00am and temp was very high. Took a first response pregnancy test at 5am and it came back as immediately POSITIVE. Later in the day felt heightened sense of smell and nauseous. 12 DPO - Took digital pregnancy test and it comes back pregnant. Feeling on and off waves of subtle nausea/runny nose/headache and I'm thirsty. Most prominent out of place symptoms for me were bloating, constipation and on/off flu like symptoms with higher temperatures than normal. All symptoms were SUPER MILD up until I started feeling fluish on DPO 7. Everyone always talks about sore boobs, cramps/pulls/tugs, creamy/lotiony CM and extreme exhaustion, but I haven't really felt any of these things thus far...so if you don't feel any of these "standard" symptoms, then that's okay. Things done differently this month: Used preseed for the first time [used every time we BD'd]. Used OPK for the first time. Exchanged skim milk for whole milk [drank a glass of whole milk a day]. DH and I joined a gym a couple months ago and we've both been working out regularly since then. Made DH start taking a multi vitamin about a month ago and I think it helped!! Drank a lot of grapefruit juice I wish I could say that I took a relaxed approach and didn't obsess and stress out over every little thing regarding TTC/BDing on time/temperature, etc...but that's not the case. I obsessed the entire time and I'm so happy that despite my craziness, we were still able to conceive. So if you're one of the crazies like me, just know that it can still happen despite the obsessiveness...not saying it's a good thing or the best option lol..but it is still possible to conceive in that state of mind. We are THRILLED right now but also scared because it still so early [I'm almost 4 weeks]. Praying for a healthy 9 months.

BFP 10dpo with Preseed!

So today at 10dpo I got my BFP!!! So excited to be having another baby! First time round it took us 10 months to conceive. As soon as I used preseed we fell straight away so this time round I knew I would be using it again. We fell on the first cycle!! Needless to say, in my opinion, preseed works wonders! I have had more symptoms on other cycles where I hadn't conceived. I thought for sure I was out this month because I was DRY DRY DRY after O and this is quite normal. We BD the day before +opk, day of and two days following. Here is what I recorded: 1dpo: nothing- some lightening pains in breasts. 2dpo: CP high and firm 3dpo: nausea and feeling of being hungover, could be from pizza night before though as rarely have takeout. Cold sore coming on. 4dpo: bubbly gas pains in tummy 5dpo: very emotional and moody. No cramps, no cm, no breast pain. Starving!! Ate like a horse for dinner and full ferning on the Maybe Baby. Weird but have heard this can happen. 6dpo: cp high and soft and feels quite open which is so strange for me..usually hard and closed by now. Backache, congested, +appetite, +sex drive (very unusual for this time of month!). More energy though and not tired at all. 7dpo: bright red spotting (convinced this is implantation) nausea in am, tender breasts, bloating, + appetite, +sex drive, cp still high, very scant amount of creamy cm! 8dpo: low dull backache which goes through to the front, more energy, cervix high and soft, DRY DRY DRY!! 9dpo: cervix high soft open still. No cm. Sure I'm out. Still backaches but cp makes me wonder.... 10dpo: slight increase in cm, backaches, pinching cramps, cp high wet soft...decide to test even though had promised myself not to as didn't want disappointment! BFP in the afternoon!! So elated and happy to share!! Good luck in the TWW and if you haven't already, I highly recommend giving preseed a go!

First BFP at 11 DPO!

Hi everyone! I am so happy to say that I got my BFP this morning at 11 DPO!! DH and I are so excited to have our first! I read these stories everyday and was so obsessed with every little symptom. To be honest, I did not expect this to happen so quickly! This was our first month using OPKs and charting, so I guess we got the timing just right the first time around! We also used Pre-seed every time we BD. Here were my symptoms: O day- ovulation pains on left side 1-4 DPO- slight cramping on left side intermittenly 5 DPO- HUNGRY, slight cramping continues, backache, break out on chin 6 DPO- HUNGRY, cramps have finally calmed down, back ache, vivid dream 7-8 DPO - One sided cramps are back, backache, more break outs. Burping ALOT 9 DPO - Big temp drop, shooting pains on my left side (implantation maybe?) So hungry, VERY vivid dream. 10 DPO - BFN ( I couldn't resist), could have sworn I saw a shadow though! Cramping continues. Temps back up! 11 DPO - BFP!!! Naseau in the morning, cold-like symptoms I am so excited to start this journey, and I know all of you will be joining me shortly!!! Baby dust to everyone :)

I prayed for this bean to stay stuck...

So my husband 36 and myself 33 have been ttc since we were married in 2011 almost five years! We had one pregnancy that lasted for 11 weeks and three chemical pregnancies. Well here is how I received my BFP this time :) I was on 50mg of clomid the two cycles previously but ran out of prescription. I usually take .125mcg of synthroid and 7.5mg two times daily of Sustained release T3 for my Hypothyroidism, however I upped my T3 to 15mg twice a day to see if it made me more energetic as I kept forgetting my mid day dose and had tons of extras. I was on quite a sushi kick for the TWW, however before we all panic it was cooked sushi! Started going to a chiropractor as I had hip/back issues and had one massage too. Didn't do ovulation testing due to it being a break cycle and no fertility meds, however we maintained our schedule with pre-seed and softcup combo CD 8 - CD 12. Didn't really track nothing this month as I just feel like a failure after years and years! We did the deed on CD 5, CD 8, CD 10, CD 12, CD 18. My cycles are max 23 days, usually 21 so we were on a family trip and came back on CD 24 and tested mid afternoon and it came up positive. I just thought I was late from the clomid in my system from previous two months?! Totally shocked as I haven't had any symptoms that I can recall, maybe a bit tender breasts and frequent peeing, little diarrhea on CD 17 now I am a bit dizzy CD 25? Which all before have happened with no BFP. I hope this is the one that sticks for us, I would be more than blessed and would thank the heavens above!!! Wishing you all the luck on your ttc :)

10 DPO BFP!! Hello, Rainbow Baby!

I'm going to try to keep this short, but... we'll see how that goes. Scroll to the bottom for symptoms by DPO. I took Clomiphene (50mg) days 5-9 this cycle. This was my 6th time taking Clomiphene and have had a chemical pregnancy, a "missed miscarriage" at 7w5d and a loss after seeing a heartbeat at around 11w. Our most recent loss was a baby girl with Trisomy 8. I also use Preseed lubricant internally, but I ran out on O day this cycle. We had sex every other day up until O and had sex the day before, day of, and the day after my positive OPK. I use Wondfo OPKS and they always stay positive for at least 2 days. O day- CD 16, hardly any CM at all (worried) DPO 1- crampy, crazy vivid dreams 2- more vivid dreams, EWCM? 3- vivid dreams 4- 5- mild cramping starts 6-mild cramping, backache, was pretty sure I was pregnant because of the backache, very tired 7- mildly crampy, backache, diarrhea in AM (big clue), very tired 8- weird green CM, tired 9-BFN, thought I was out, BAD gas 10- very faint positive in am on Wondfo, showed my husband and he saw it too, took 3 more tests including 2 Wondfos and a FRER around noon-- all positive! Never have gotten a positive this early. 11-13 more positives 14- Confirmed pregnancy at OBs office The dead giveaways this cycle were the mild cramping and backache, although my cramping was much more severe last time I got pregnant. Also, I was exhausted! Luckily I was on vacation that whole week and I took naps or went to bed early during the last part of my TWW. Good luck to everyone TTC and my heart goes out to everyone seeking their rainbow. I am terrified of another miscarriage, but I'm trying to take it day by day and just be thankful for another chance. We are praying for a healthy baby in early March.

2 years, 5th IUI success!

I've always had irregular periods, so I always feared that getting pregnant might be difficult. I really had no idea. Turns out I rarely ovulate on my own. We started trying to conceive in August 2014. Had no luck for several months. Started clomid in June 2015, with little success. I did manage to ovulate a couple times, but not early enough and it did not result in pregnancy. So finally in December 2015 we went to a fertility clinic and switched to letrozole + ovidrel trigger. I successfully ovulated every time, sometimes with more than 1 mature follicle, for 4 cycles with IUI. We had one chemical pregnancy. It was devastating. After that, our doctor switched me to injectibles (follistim). The first round, I overstimulated. I had several developing follicles on each ovary. The doctor recommended cancelling the cycle, to avoid the risk of high order multiples. I had no interest in becoming octomom, but it was still a difficult decision to make. We wanted to be pregnant so bad! So, at my next baseline ultrasound I was ready to try again. But unfortunately I had a large leftover follicle on one ovary, so we couldn't proceed. Doc offered birth control or go it natural to see if I would ovulate on my own. If I don't ovulate, I would take provera to start my period. So I opted for the latter. It was discouraging to have to cancel ANOTHER cycle, but it is what it is. Finally, we got to try injectibles again, right at the end of May 2016. We did a lower dose. I only had 1 mature follicle develop, which was really disappointing. Husband had 23 million sperms post wash at the IUI, which was about average for him. We weren't really expecting much. We were already looking ahead to the possibility of IVF. The doctor put me on progesterone supplements this cycle (inserted vaginally), so I was really skeptical about any symptoms I experienced. The only thing I noticed was fatigue the second half of the TWW. I experienced a couple sharp cramps at 9dpo, but tried not to read into it. But at 12dpo, 14 days post trigger, I was scheduled for a beta blood test. I decided to pee on a stick that morning, so get some of the anxiety out of my system. I used a Walgreens early result digital test. In less than 2 minutes, the screen popped up: Yes+. I couldn't believe it! Later that afternoon, my beta blood test results came in. The doctor called and left a message on my phone because I was at work and in a meeting when she called. Basically, she said, "Your blood test confirms it. You're pregnant! HCG level at 98. That's a good number. Come back in a couple days for a follow-up to make sure it's doubling. Congratulations!" The last time I got a positive, with the chemical pregnancy, my HCG level was 16. So I was feeling much more optimistic. But still not ready to completely celebrate until the follow-up beta. So 2 days later, I get another blood test and then my doctor calls me in the afternoon. This time I'm ready. On a walk around the block by my office. The doctor says, "Good news. Your HCG level is at 250. Congratulations! Make an appointment 3 weeks from today for your first ultrasound." I put the phone down and almost started crying, right there in the street. I still can't quite believe it. I'm 17 dpo now. I've been experiencing waves of fatigue every day, although today I have quite a bit of energy. (Is it weird that I'm anxious about feeling good?) If all goes well, we'll welcome our baby around March 3, 2017. I'm so grateful! If you're on this journey, I suggest tracking your temperatures if you're not already, and advocating for yourself with your doctor to make sure you're getting the best care, understand what's happening, etc. It is so important to understand what's going on with your body and understand your options! Best of luck to you!
