2.5 Years - Unexplained Infertility. Finally BFP

All, this is so soon I was hesitant to share but I remember all the hard times I've hard times I've had the past 2.5 years so figured whatever I could do to help others as this board has helped me, was important. I got my first BFP in almost 30 months just TWO DAYS AGO. I am literally 4 weeks 5 days right now...I never thought it would happen. Brief history then what I did that might help you: I'm 32 and my husband is 31 (32 next month). TTC for about 2.5 years. Let me preface this with telling you everything I tried before seeing an RE or doing prelim blood work: Vitex Fertilaid Fertilitea At any given point I was on multiple supplements (including but not limited to: Royal Jelly, D3, Milk Thistle, Selenium, Baby Aspirin, Dandelion Root, Zinc and Magnesium, OvaBoost, Melatonin). I charted the whole time (even this cycle) and did ovulation tests the first year or year and a half. After a year, I got prelim blood work from my OB-GYN and then went to see an RE after doing blood work that suggested everything was fine. RE did blood work (all was normal) and sono-histogram (all clear) Month one we did just progesterone support. BFN Month 2 we did Clomid + HCG Trigger + IUI (great follie reading before for all three) Month 3 we did Clomid again + HCG Trigger + IUI Month 4 we did Clomid one more time + HCG Trigger + IUI All BFNs obv. Progesterone made me super depressed. Clomid made me crazy so I decided that until someone had a diagnosis, I refused to keep putting hormones in my body and be told nothing was wrong. Costs thousands and doesn't help state of mind. I finished all of this about 7 months ago and decided to take a break. My break to me meant that I wanted to do whatever I could in my power to figure out what was wrong (I love medical diagnosis and I decided to see this as a challenge to get to the bottom of what was wrong with me). The first thing I did was read "Making Babies" - I highly recommend it to anyone TTC. Mostly because it gets you in touch with your body and makes you more conscientious about what you are eating and how you are treating yourself. The only supplements I stayed on since were: Selenium, Milk Thistle, Royal Jelly and D3. Fast forward to this month. Several years ago I had a Naturopath tell me I seemed to have adrenal fatigue. I looked into it a little over 30 days ago and it sounds like me (I'd bet it sounds like most of you too). I ordered a natural supplement and started taking it - I believe it's called Adrenal Support. I then wondered about the vitamins I took and if my body was absorbing them. I looked into ways to ensure my body was getting the most out of my vitamins and I stumbled across a little know thing called Dr. Willard's water. Before I continue let me say that I have no affiliation with this company at all. I literally found it on a website that lists things that help you absorb nutrients better from food and vitamins. I ordered a bottle of Willard's water (clear version) from Amazon after reading some reviews. It only had about 30 or so reviews but I spoke with a few people in the more rural part of the country through a Facebook great about pet wellness (haha) that swear by it. Not only does it help you absorb nutrients, it also balances your body's PH. As a coffee drinker (and wine drinker) I thought it might be a good idea to try to balance my PH a bit (figuring it might be acidic). I added a little bit of Willard's water to my water (and my dogs' water, haha) for the last 30 days or so. Bam. The only thing I really changed in my diet was I added avocado about 5 of 7 days a week for breakfast (avocado toast). This month I took the adrenal support supplement (my blood pressure was the lowest its been in at least 15 days at 108/68 so I do think it helped), Willard's water (I believe this is the big difference maker) and avocado. I think a lot of fertility medicine focuses on treatment and not enough on diagnosis. Who knows if this baby will stick but I think we often need to look at our own lifestyle and go back to basics (30-40 years ago PH balance was a big thing with conception - hence the advent of baking soda douches prior to OV day). I am just like one of you who spent 29 months getting frustrated because nothing was physically wrong with me but I wasn't having any success. Though it's still super early, I am much more confident that I can get a BFP - something I truly thought would never happen. Before you think you're at a dead end. Think of my situation and know that you need to be your biggest advocate. You know your body and your behaviors and you have to be willing to think critically to find a solution. Unfortunately a doctor will only do so much since they have a lot of people like you who visit. PS I had an appt to see a new RE next week - great timing :)

BFP 11 DPO- NO sore boobs and NO cm!

Hello ladies! During my TWW I was constantly on this board! I loved reading all of your stories, they really helped me pass the time and feel connected to other women who were feeling all of the same things I am. DH is 27 and I’m 25, we were just married in November of 2015. We were using protection up until April 2016 when we decided to NTNP. I was SO naïve to think, “oh we just won’t use protection and I’ll get pregnant, that’s how it works right?” HA! When I got my period in April I was SHOCKED! Anyway, I’ve been tracking my period since I was 16 years old, I have CLOCKWORK regular cycles. In May I explained to DH how tracking your cycle works, and we BD’d everyday around the day I THOUGHT I ovulated…but during the TWW I just knew I wasn’t pregnant. I just felt NOTHING and I knew it didn’t happen. I was shocked! I thought FOR SURE we had done it that month. So, now comes June…I ALWAYS have very noticeable CM throughout my cycle. And I noticed that the days I had EWCM weren’t matching up with the days my Period Diary app told me I was ovulating…so I decided to bite the bullet and buy some Clearblue digital OPK’s. WELL my app told me I was ovulating on the 11th…turns out I didn’t even get a positive OPK till the 14th. I’m counting ovulation day as June 15th. Which makes total sense as to why I didn’t get a BFP in May, I had the days all wrong…lesson learned BUY THE OPK’S EVEN IF YOU HAVE CLOCKWORK CYCLES!! Now for the fun part… May 31st-June 4th – Period June 5th – BD June 8th – BD June 12th-14th – BD everyday, Headaches & tons of EWCM—all normal O symptoms for me. ** June 14th Positive OPK (solid smiley face) at 8:00 in the morning and it was negative by that evening so I’m counting June 15th as O day…did not BD that night (6/15) because DH wasn’t feeling well. O day- Infertile, chunky gross looking CM. (Ew, I know TMI but I wanted to know all of these things during the TWW!) 1 DPO- Okay this is weird and SO GROSS…but I had A LOT of white YI looking discharge ALL DAY and this has never ever happened to me…I wasn’t itchy, irritated or red down there so I was very confused…I thought maybe a YI is coming on?...WEIRD! I used Vagisil wipes throughout the day and it really helped clear it up. Light AF cramping for maybe 2 minutes. By that night the YI looking discharge was gone and I had cloudy EWCM. 2 DPO- Woke up in AM with random itching down there, nothing TOO horrible but definitely enough for me to notice it…but most of the YI looking discharge is GONE and I have more of stretchy, clear looking EWCM. I had a pounding headache all day. Urine smelled REALLY weird today!! My sister babysat her boyfriends little brother today and he was OBSESSED with me. Did not leave my side and kept hugging my belly really tight. Also, my sisters dog (sister lives in the basement apartment of mine & DH house) ran upstairs in the middle of the night and kept trying to jump on my side of the bed!! SO WEIRD! 3 DPO- Lotiony/chunky CM. Got a canker sore. Sore arms. Pinched feeling in one nipple for like 10 seconds. Also, this morning I had a severe cramp in my lower abdomen. DH buys me an iced mocha latte (my fave!) from Starbucks and I threw more than half of it in the garbage because I was just NOT enjoying it one bit. Random rib cage pain…Also, I notice that I’m scratching my scalp a lot. Face feels warm all evening. 4 DPO- Woke up with middle back pain that goes away when I get up and walk around. Underboob pain for a few seconds, but enough to make me notice it. Tingly right nipple again. SNEEZING! Omg the sneezing. Stuffy nose at night. Ate A TON at dinner time without even noticing. Light cramping on and off. No CM. 5 DPO- Woke up with the same back pain that once again goes away once I get up and move. Thick lotiony CM only at night. Itchy scalp and skin AGAIN. Standing in line at the post office today I was SO irritable and annoyed at everyone around me. No boob pain at all! 6 DPO- One sharp pain on left ovary when I stood up quickly. VERY hot at night. Itchy scalp. Dry/no CM. 7 DPO- Woke up with the same middle back pain that goes away when I walk around. Dry/no CM. Very thirsty. Bloated in the afternoon. Cramps. Weird pinching pain down there. Tingly hands/fingers. 8 DPO- Thighs are sore- like I ran a marathon; I start to feel out because I get this thigh pain during AF sometimes. Back pain in the morning still. No/small amounts of CM. Tingly hands/fingers. Didn’t want to finish breakfast. BFN on Wondfo with FMU (shouldn’t have tested lol). I peed at like 12:00 in the afternoon and had EWCM with two specks of pink blood!...Implantation? 9 DPO- Boobs feel really full (not painful just like they’re filling my bra out more), tiny bit of lotiony CM in morning then nothing all day, Sore throat, gassy even after not eating anything for 4 hours. Brown tinged CM when I wiped at night…officially think I’m out because this happens to me before AF.

BFP 6 months following Uterine Septum Removal surgery

Unexplained infertility TTC 2.5 years Dr. found uterine septum and surgery for uterine septum removal on 12/2016 7 months later.... BFP @ 22 DPO (honestly didn't think to test prior to that, lost hope and did not suspect anything....finally decided to give it a go yesterday morning and was shocked (we had only baby danced 1 time that cycle due to "taking it easy"...of course this is the month I get pregnant)) Symptoms: Currently have flu like symptoms (chills, achy muscles), pelvic cramping, and brown/sometimes red blood at some point in the day for the past 2 days. There is hope...

BFP at 15 DPO!!

I am so excited to be able to post in the forum I have been using the past few months! I am 35, this will be my second child and have been TTC for 6 months. 3 of the months were me guessing when I was ovulating based upon my cycle and 3 were BBT charting. 1-6 DPO: No symptoms other than my daughter and dog being interested in my belly. 6 DPO: Actually hit a wall with my car and I have a backup camera. Never got in an accident before this! 7 DPO: cramps, irritable, tired, watery cm. 8 DPO: same as 7, add in dizzy spell and gas--burping. 9 DPO: same as 7&8, add in backache off and on and constipation. Had creamy cm and assume implantation today after painful sharp cramps and at end of day very slight pink when wiped. 10 DPO: creamy cm, add in headache, diarrhea, very little nausea, same symptoms as other days. 11 DPO: no noticeable cm, so sad today and couldn't figure out why. 12 DPO: sad again, bloated and slight skin breakout on chest (unusual). 13 DPO: creamy cm and sciatic nerve pain in my butt (last time was while pregnant w first). 14 DPO: same symptoms as past few days but started with constipation and ended with painful diarrhea. 15 DPO: Finally took the test and got my BFP!! Was so scared to test, FF told me to wait until 16 DPO but I really could feel it this time, I just knew. I will say there have been two other cycles where I convinced myself I was pregnant and been disappointed. Charting made me more Type A than I usually am and I was literally driving my husband crazy with when we had to BD. Regarding my BBT at about 9 DPO when implantation occurred, my temps continued to rise and dip back and forth but only slightly. There was no triphasic (according to FF) and temps were just consistently rising, no crazy high shifts. No implantation dip. My prior two BFN charts, my temps started going up and down with larger changes in temp at around 9 DPO (as compared to my BFP chart) and starting at 12/13 DPO, temps go down and don't come back up. My luteal phase was 15/16 days, I tested at 15 days for BFP. One last note, I as diagnosed with hypothyroidism after baby #1 and was worried it would affect my fertility, as long as TSH under 2 (mine was 1.5), looks like it's not a problem.

All praises to our lord!

First BFP at 39, 6 months of trying

I delayed marriage and family to focus on career. In August 2015, I married my love (who currently is 37) and went off the pill in November. I used ovulation test kits beginning in December, which simply told me what I already knew. I have a 28-day cycle and ovulate around day 14. It was great to know my cycles were as clockwork as I thought! By January, I was symptom spotting and was convinced I was pregnant. (I worry I was actually conjuring the symptoms I read here on other BFP stories though I'm grateful for every one I read!) When I wasn't pregnant, I was astounded and sad. Month after month, I got BFNs and began to worry I am just too old to conceive naturally. DH and I agreed we would not use fertility treatments but we would get tested--to determine whether I would have to go back on birth control. I made an OB/GYN appointment for early June (annual exam and to discuss testing) and then, whammo, BFP! Just when I'd lost hope. I'm exactly 4 weeks along. My symptoms during the TWW were really minimal (compared to my January symptom-spotting month). Typically my breasts are VERY sore between ovulation and my period. This time, I had very little soreness. In fact, they were the most sore the day I expected my period, which was the day I got my BFP. I noticed I was running to the bathroom to pee a lot more than usual and getting up at least once during the night. I have been incredibly thirsty but I thought that was because everything I have been eating seems very salty. I also was hungry first thing in the morning, which isn't normal for me, and had these sudden urges of extreme hunger every 3-4 hours. One night while I was brushing my teeth (4 days before my BFP), my gums bled which is highly unusual for me; I'm a twice-a-day flosser and brusher. I should also note, I was CERTAIN my period was coming this month. All the signals were there leading up to the day it was expected--uterine heaviness, cramping, CM. I put in a liner two days before my period's due date because the symptoms were so strong. I spotted that day, just a drop or two, and thought this was the start of my period. (I was yet again convinced I was too old to conceive and this was a signal that my cycles are getting shorter as my fertility dwindles.) I was wrong. I'm now sure it was implantation bleeding. DH and I know we haven't made it through the woods yet, but we're optimistic and excited and are looking forward to all the adventures to come. Baby dust to all of you, especially those of you who are a little older and are losing hope.

BFP AT 21 DPO : 8 DAYS AFTER EXPECTED MENSTRUAL

PRETTY LONG BUT I WANTED TO GIVE YOU LADIES ALL THE DETAIL (: Hey ladies, I just got my bfp after two months of trying. Last month we missed ovulation by two days :( last month I swore I was pregnant had all the signs : - bloating - what I thought was implantation cramping at 7 dpo - nausea - and really sore nipples *sorry tmi * When AF showed I was extremely devastades because I honestly thought that I was pregnant This month the only thing different was that I used an app called "ovia" it definetly helps with showing you your fertile days in a graph type of form. My symptoms during the tww: - really bad backache starting since 5 dpo , felt more like a really uncomfortable dull ache -EXTREMELY GASSY - ACNE OMG I BROKE OUT SOOOO BAD that's sort of gave me a clue something was going on -I HAD NO CRAMPS ! I usually cramp up starting from 7 dpo and this month nothing -FATIGUEEEEEEEEEE : the fatigue I was getting was so horrible , I could sleep 10 hours , wake up , find something to do and in less than 2 hours I was ready to go to sleep again . My period was due may 13th, 2016 the day my period was due I had some brown tinged cm that was really thick and some light cramping , I put on a pad thinking that I was about to start and NOTHING. I spotted again two days after on may 15th so I assumed AF was coming and nothing . I tested since 9 dpo and was pretty much getting nothing but BFN'S so I had pretty much given up hope . 7 days had passed and My period still wasn't here, I checked my cervix and had ewcm mixed with creamy cm and my cervix was pretty high , that seemed weird to me. Took a pregnancy test BFN , I had given up hope and honestly just wanted AF to start so that I could buy pressed and soft cups for next month since that was what dh and I were going to try. 8 days late and suddenly I just got the weird urge to buy a pregnancy test , I hadn't tested all day , I tested at 2 a.m. without first morning urine and got a BFP (: still faint but you can definitely see it without fainting (: I wrote this post to help you ladies during the tww hope you all get your bfp's and just keep hope alive things always happen when you least expect it I had seen a lot of post that were saying that a bfp after 19 dpo was nearly impossible but I'm here to let you ladies know that ITS POSSIBLE ! just because you're getting bfn's doesn't mean that you're not pregnant it could just be that your hormones aren't high enough to be detected (: hope you ladies have a good day . *I'll be checking up on this post just in case your ladies have any questions*
