Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP with unexpected symptoms

Another BFP story from an older mom with TTC/loss/rainbow baby experience… I have a short LP (10-12 days), so by the time it makes sense to POAS, I already get my period or indications of it. And this cycle was the same. Here are my symptoms by dpo: 1-7 dpo: nothing in particular 7-8 dpo: stabbing pain in breasts (typical AF symptom for me) 9 dpo: I went and bought a big box of sweets for hubby and me. I was emotional and irritable. (Both, also AF symptoms for me). 10 dpo: My BBT fell, close to, but not below coverline. I also had a lower backache and felt moody/irritable. (All AF symptoms). I felt like testing late in the evening (10dpo), just to be sure. I fully expected AF to come soon, but I guess I didn’t want it to. I used a Wondfo dip strip. It says you should read it after 5 minutes (no upper limit given). I forgot and looked after 10 minutes. There was a faint but visible second line. Even hubby, who doesn’t know anything about POAS or faint lines) could see it. I thought it must be an evaporation line. I went and took care of some business. Two hours later, I wanted to test again, because I felt some slight soreness on my breasts and irritated/sensitive nipples (not AF symptoms). I used a SurePredict and a Wondfo. Read both at 5 minutes, but both were negative. After another 5 minutes or so, I looked with a flashlight and both had a second line. I couldn’t leave this hanging in the air. So, I went ahead and used a FRER and got a clear positive at midnight! I already got confirmed with a blood test and put on progesterone. Now in the waiting game and hoping and praying that it sticks!
