Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
Low AMH, age 41, natural BFP 10po
I thought I'd post my story in the hope it gives encouragement to others. I was diagnosed with low AMH over a year ago (.2 in November 2016, when I was 40). I had only met my partner in 2014, and he is a few years younger than me, and wasn't ready to immediately start trying, even though we really had no time to lose. So we took advantage of our infertility diagnosis and did three rounds of IVF to try to freeze embryos (we are fortunate to live in a state whereIVF was mostly covered). It was not very successful: on a max doses of stims, we ended up with only 3 frozen embryos after 3 rounds. In September 2017, we decided we would try naturally for 6 months before implanting the frosties. You never know, right? I had turned 41 in August. We used a clear blue opk to try to get the timing right. I have short cycles: 24-25 days. But OPK suggested I was still ovulating. Today, after only four months trying, we got our BFP 10dpo! It is faint but pretty clear on an FRER. I am still in shock, and trying not to get my hopes up because I know the chances of mc are so high. Since o-day I have had no noticeable symptoms, in spite of my best attempts to fabricate them. No tender breasts, no implantation spotting, no nausea. Hopefully that is not a bad sign. In any event, wanted to share my story in case there are other 40+ low AMHers out there. I was really convinced that this was not possible!
