Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

My Neurotic BFP :)

Kudos to TWW! This site was invaluable (and incredibly time consuming) as we tried to conceive. Here are the details:
I'm 36 (semi-old in the procreating department) and my DH is 41. I have a son that is 10 from my previous marriage, whom I conceived with one shot after coming straight off the pill. This obviously set the bar high! I expected the same this time around. NOT SO MUCH! We have been trying for about 9 months (translation: I have been reading this site and obsessing for that long). I had no idea how stressful and worrisome this whole baby making business can be, and it has taught me invaluable lessons on gratitude and compassion towards those who struggle with infertility. It also had me doing bonkers behavior like checking my CM during inappropriate times (and in inappropriate places), screaming at my man for wasting "good stock" in the wrong depository (c'mon, there is no such thing as TMI on this site) and peeing on a variety of apparatus. Two months ago me and my DH came to blows about the process of making a baby vs. good old fashioned hot sex. DH was not prepared to turn into a "on-demand" sperm system. And while I understood his points of contention -- he was pushed over the edge when I read online that oral sex may kill sperm --, I also understood that conceiving can take work. So his attitude kind of pissed me off! That said, I respected it. I vowed to relax for a couple of months because I realized I was in jeopardy of hurting our connection through sex. As a result, this month our connections were very good and highly enjoyable! But we only BD twice during my fertile time, the last time being 2 days before I ovulated. Due to the nature of that weekend (hello weekend away), I was drunk both times and feel asleep afterwards :) I did drunkenly managed to use pre-seed one time - multi tasking whilst brushing my teeth!!
I didn't notate my symptoms day by day but I did have some. Firstly, I have what I assume is heartburn (I've never had heartburn!) 1-3dpo. Only mildly and only fleetingly, a slight burning sensation behind my sternum. I also experienced insomnia for a couple of night during the TWW, which is HIGHLY unusual for me. I would fall asleep easily but then I would wake at 2 or 4 am and have trouble getting back to sleep. I am still experiencing this. Cramping! Very mild, almost like a sore muscle feeling in my uterus. A couple of days this was stronger than others. Now, I've hallucinated these sorts of symptoms before but what I could not make up is the mucus/snot-like CM I experienced. Big globs followed by dry CM followed by other globs of yellow tinted, stretchy, globby CM then back to dry CM. This had me on high alert! So on 9 dpo I took a Wondfo test strip. There was a super faint line. Of course I got online and "researched" and talked myself out of it being positive and considered it to be an evap. But on 10 dpo it was darker and I also took a FRER which was lightly positive and a digital clearblue which was positive. Yay!
Now, my boobs. NOTHING! Nada. No pain, no soreness. And my breasts are usually very sensitive throughout my cycle. In fact, the non-soreness became a symptom as I approached AF time. My nipples are already a little darker tho.
Other random tidbits, I take prenatal vitamins, Co-enzyme Q10. I did eat some brazil nuts during my TWW. Some months I have relaxed the exercise regime during the TWW but this time I did Bikram yoga most days (I’ve been a practitioner for years, I wouldn't have done otherwise). Now I'm on to worry and obsess about the next 9 months. I send loads of baby dust, luck and love your way......
