Tampons or pads?

Postby twilightt » Sat Jan 03, 2009 11:33 am

Stupid question, i know!!
but i'm thinking AF stops today....then i get to wait until O....then i get to wait until enough DPO to test, ugh!!!! so i'm bored and posting a dorky poll :D

so since this is the AF forum, i was just wondering, which do you use? do you use anything different while TTC than you normally would?

I use pads... always have.
I've tryed tampons and it's just not for me, I'm super paranoid about using them anyway.
Although I hate that constant wet feeling and the big bulkiness (even if they are thin) of pads... It's just what I prefer :D

I use a Diva Cup too. I love it. I actually miss it right now. I am still bleeding from my m/c and I can't use it.

If you go to iHerb.com and order. If you use this code ARA691 you get $5 off

Here is the link to size 2 (if you have had a baby or over 30)

I would like to be able to use a cup, but I cant even manage tampons. I dont think I get the tampons up there far enough.. ugh they sort of half way fall out, I guess Ive always been squeamish about it.

Oh I can't wear tampons but I can the cup. I have tried every brand of tampon and can only use OB if I HAVE to. but now I have the cup it is a 1000 times better.

I have to use tampons, I just can't use pads.... Sometimes I "try" every once in a while but I just can not stand the feeling of gushing every couple seconds.... It's like I am peeing myself over and over and there is just no stopping it.....

I only try because I have heard it's healthier or whatnot, but I just can't do it!
Been not preventing and sometimes actively TTC since 2007... I'm pretty sure I have given up all hope :( but I do know God could change that at any time.

I use instead cups. I love them. A little weird at first to be honest the first cycle took me a bit to get used to it (just removing it) but after that I am hooked. In pads I always felt dirty or wet or....well........like a diaper was between my legs and with tampons.......I just got tired of changing them and also (TMI coming up) getting pee on the string just is gross! Instead cups you change less often and no chemicals and smell etc....

Diva Cup lover here too!!! I will never go back! I get great 12 hour protection with no leaks,,,,,can't beat it! And it's really not that expensive from iHerb about $15 and you wash with a mild soap and reuse so it's actually much cheaper than pads or tampons.
