Husbands with hernias

Postby Alrich11 » Fri Oct 25, 2013 4:56 pm

Has anyone's husband had a hernia and not been able to get pregnant because of it? Or has had one and has been able to? My brother had a double one on his groin and found out he couldn't get pregnant because of it. My husband had a double one too when he was young had surgery and I'm afraid we will have trouble because of it! Any input would be great.

I believe it is possible. Although I havent gotten pregnant yet, my dh did have a ds. He only has 1 hernia tho. But sometimes I do worry. Would like to know others experiences also.

This could be a concern. I would suggest you visit a clinic. It's important to get professional help on this. I remember when I was unable to conceive. We did, however, try for a whole year before visiting the doctor. Mainly because the doctors don't check you if you haven't been tying for that long. However, my advice to you would be to make sure the clinic you visit is operating at a high success rate. The doctors should have the experience to determine the problem. I am saying so because of my own experience. My journey wasn't really a smooth one initially. This is because all my IUI cycles failed with a clinic I was waiting along with an IVF cycle. It was a friend of mine who actually made me realize that it was time I changed my doctor. When I did change my clinic and visited a better one things automatically changed. I am happy with things. Sending baby dust your way.
-Low AMH and High FSH
-Poor Ovarian Reserve
-5 IUIs (failed)
-1 IVF (failed)
Life is a total mess

This is not something you should ignore. Try to get some professional help asap. I tried for a long time without getting any help and it was just like wasting time. When i visited the clinic, the doctors declared me infertile right away. At first yes i was devastated but after doing some research i came across a great clinic. It's important that the clinic you are visiting is good at it's job. Good Luck hon!

Hi! You need to contact a clinic asap. The early you can take care of such things it's better. The chances decrease with time. The clinic will be able to help you out here. Good Luck.
