Luteal phase change after mc?

Postby BeeCee33 » Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:22 am

Seasoned charters who have miscarried, did you experience a change in LP length after mc?

I miscarried at 5 weeks at beginning of March. I'm 13 dpo today and I usually have an 11day LP. One cycle it was 12 due to vit b6, which I'm not taking anymore.

In the past I've gotten my BFPs by 10 and 11 dpo, with a hint of a line the day before each time. I stopped testing at 11dpo this time because I couldn't take seeing another BFN and decided to just wait for AF. But now my temp is still up and I'm still too scared to test! I did a brief Google search and it looks like some women experienced LP change after a loss, at least for one cycle and I'm wondering if that's what's going on.

I am not too sure. I only started using OPKs after my mc...however I THINK my luteal phase might have been a day or two longer afterwards.

I think you should test personally ;) - However I know all the issues and feelings associated with that after a loss. It is ultimately your decision.

Keep us posted! Fx'd and good luck!!!

OH NO!! Well that is good news too though, because a longer luteal phase is a positive sign right?

Not necessarily. 10 days is sufficient, and I've gotten pregnant on my 3rd cycle each time trying (one baby, one mc), so it doesn't seem to be a problem and I like moving onto the next cycle quickly if I'm not pregnant!

I suppose that is the benefit of the shorter LP. I think mine is about 12 days.
