Progesterone 8.8 on 7 dpo: good, bad, borderline?

Postby BeeCee33 » Tue Oct 10, 2017 3:16 pm

As the title says, my progesterone was 8.8 on 7 dpo. I have an 11-12 day LP. I don't know much about progesterone levels. My primary care doctor ordered the test only because I asked for it and she just said it was "within normal range after ovulation." From what I've read, it should be above 10 by 7 dpo on a non medicated cycle. Anyone with more experience with this care to chime in?

My OB told me below 10 meant progesterone was too low. In fact, during my last miscarriage, when mine was at 8 she immediately prescribed progesterone suppositories for my next cycle. I never had another period after that loss! Ended up with my bfp a month later and am now 22 weeks with my rainbow. I know this little one stuck because of the progesterone supplementation. I'd get a second opinion for sure!

Wow, thank you! I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and should O in about 4 days, so I will definitely ask if she's willing to give me progesterone!
