Morning!! :)

I keep telling myself that over summer break I’ll get more exercise and be more active but lol who knows.. Kensi hates the heat it seems so being outside and active isn’t looking promising.

Our taxes are high too. Right now I’m an attendant for regular and special ed buses but I’m getting my permit this summer and will be driving by September when the next school year starts. It’s so much more responsibility and possibilities for error/accidents but that just means I need to be on my toes and paying close attention to everything.

Idk what was going on with kens it last almost two weeks. She’s sleeping better but daytime she’s still pretty crabby. I can’t see any teeth, it’s realky possible it was a sleep regression or a growth leap like you said.

NTNP!!!!!! I think it’s exciting! I know you’re not quite ready and that’s okay you really ended up going through a lot.

How’s Samu? And how are you feeling??

It’s father’s day so we are gonna hang out and grill some food! Tuesday we start OT/PT for Kensi. I’m a little anxious over it but I’m sure it’ll be fine!

Have a great Sunday!!

Hi!

Are you finally on holiday? :) It sounds like your Father’s Day weekend was great! We had Midsummer weekend just now, and the weather was awful after weeks and weeks of great sunny weather!

It sounds like you are ready for more responsibility, that’s great! :) I keep having nightmares about the next school year, though.

We’re doing well! DH is on holiday until the second week of July, so we’re dividing the responsibilities nicely now. My sister, nephew and mom were here last week, and we got a lot of things done outside. The yard looks a lot better now that there are no random piles of wood etc. everywhere. And now we have the outside hot tub all ready for use. I took a bath this weekend and it was lovely.

I hope you’re doing well and are enjoying your summer holiday!

CD3 here, and one month of my summer holiday has already passed! Started feeling a bit more energetic, and then AF showed up. Now I feel like there’s not enough chocolate in the world, LOL.

I hope you’re doing well!

Hi!

I am/was on break finally but I got asked to work for summer school, I go back to work today. We have only been on summer break for a week. We were done a week ago this last Thursday. It’s only 1 special ed child that needs transported to a facility so it’ll only be an hour twice a day. Not really worth it but Caylin is watching the baby on tve days dh works and I don’t completely lose my pay. How has your break been??

I’m sure it was so nice to visit with family and have the extra hands to help get some work done!! We had a hot tub and we recently got rid of it, our electric bill got really high in the winter running it trying to keep it warm.
It’s been extremely hot here my kids have been in the pool pretty much all day everyday lol. It’s been so nice to be home this last week with them.

We have been without a kitchen for a week. We are doing a complete remodel. It’s been absolutely crazy and I’m growing tired of not having a functioning kitchen and I’m tired of spending money lol, I just want it to be done lol.

So far summer has been busy and expensive lol. We celebrate the 4th of July on Wednesday and we have my sister coming in town to visit for a few days, she lives way down south and we’re up north. She’s a 24+ hour drive away so it’ll be nice to see her.

How have you guys been? I’m glad you’re feeling better and your body is getting back into it’s routine. Still NTNP??

Enjoy the week!!! :)

Hi! Happy Fourth of July to you! :)

Oh, wow, going back to work so soon! I’m glad to hear it’s not full time, though. Who’s Caylin? :)

It was nice having family around, especially when I could actually do stuff around the house because there was someone to watch Samu. :) It sort of energized me for a while there.

Our nights have been exhausting again, and I hope my visit up north to see some of my aunts will go well. I’m taking Samu with me because DH starts work next Monday and we’ll be gone for a while longer than that. I am flying tomorrow morning.

I am also getting stressed out about work, I haven’t had time to prepare for the school year, and it feels like time is running out really fast.

I hope your Independence Day celebrations are going well! Talk to you later!

Hi!! :)

I’m so glad the hours are shorter for the 6 weeks that summer school runs. I’ll still end up with a few weeks off at the end of summer which will be nice.

Caylin is my oldest daughter.

It is really nice when you can have help to get things done and it does energize you to get more done. How’s your back deck coming along, did you get it finished?

Has Samu flown before? My kids all did so much better than I ever expected them to do. Enjoy your time visiting family, has it been long since you last saw them?

When do you guys return to school? We don’t go back until the first week of September.

Kensi went to the feeding clinic today.. they are debating on putting in a g tube so she can get appropriate nutrition. We got back mid August for them to re-evaluate and mske a decision.. I’m so saddened by all of this but we’ll figure it all out one step at a time I guess..

Enjoy your time away!!

Hi!

I just got home today, and I am dead tired but loved visiting my relatives! Samu had a blast, my aunt’s husband has a lot of machinery at home, and my cousin has a farm of his own. All Samu seems to talk about these days is tractors, baling hay, cows, bulldozers, backhoes, and other excavation equipment. :) Even I got to drive one of the tractors because there weren’t enough people for the hay making. You can imagine how nervous I was!

Sam has flown before, last summer when we visited Greece and when we flew up north to see my relatives. He didn’t really remember that, so it was like flying for the first time again for him. On our return flight he fell asleep just before the landing and stayed asleep all through the excitement. :)

I don’t know what to say about the (feeding) tube, but I hope it won’t come to that. But if it’s necessary, then it’s what they have to do. How is Kensi doing otherwise? And how are you?

We go back to school the first full week of August. Blergh.

Good morning :)

Your get away sounds like you guys had so much fun! I bet Samu just loved all of the equipment, that’s exciting! I’m glad you got the chance to go visit and enjoy yourself before school starts!

Are you getting ready for the new school year to start? I am trying to get school clothes and supplies already, a little at a time then it’s not huge up front cost at one time. We’ve just put in a new kitchen and have started to get BIG medical bills that we weren’t aware our insurance wouldn’t cover from the children’s hospital so I’m trying to very mindful of money.

There’s so much going on right now with all of her drs that I don’t even know where to start filling you in, it’s been a really rough few weeks. I’m emotionally and physically exhausted with a maxed out level of stress. We’ve been at the children’s hospital every week for the last 4 or 5 weeks seeing different specialists with so much different info being thrown at us, it’s very overwhelming. Her bone study came back very concerning which has led to other testing and a new specialist but our next step (without getting into a huge long page of info lol) we are headed to neurology for an eeg and an mri, we are seeing an endocrinologist, optamologist, genetics, gross motor, feed delay, developmental delay, OT/PT and her regular pediatrician. It’s very overwhelming and of course they all have different opinions. So we will keep going and see what happens, that’s all we can do right now. We are waiting on results from blood work she had done. Hopefully we hear on those soon, I’m not waiting patiently I just want to know..

Anything new with you guys?? How have you been?

Hi! :D

I’m sorry to hear that it’s been so rough news for you lately! Have you had a chance to step back, take a breather, and assess what’s been told about Kensi’s condition? How is she doing otherwise, you know, aside from all the medical stuff?

How has your summer been otherwise? Still working? Are your kids doing their sports? Is it always as hot and humid as it is here? We’re not used to this kind of weatherl sunny skies all the time, practically no rain, and hot as a sauna all the time. Thank goodness for A/C!

I haven’t had time to get ready for the school year, but I will next week whwn Samu goes back to daycare. I have so much to do it’s crazy!

I hope you’ve had good news regarding Kensi, amd can enjoy the weekend. Hugs to you. :hb:

P.S. Having the mother of all horrible AFs out there, yikes!

Good evening!

Kensi is doing okay. It’s really been financially and emotionally draining. We’ve made a lot of trips to the children’s hospital only to find out they are out of network for our insurance (which it’s rare that insurance isn’t taken there because it’s the only children’s facility within so many miles) so it’s really just been a huge downer. The only information we have learned is that her bones are very under developed and her TSH hormone is elevated so that have started her on a low dose thyroid medication. We have an MRI scheduled but because we can’t be seen at the children’s hospital that’s an hour away we have to drive 2.5 hours away to another one. We have every kind of specialist you could imagine.

This will be my last week of work then I’ll have a few off before we start the normal school year. The time off is much needed. We are full swing into sports. We are in the final sport of the summer and we are running non stop, it feels like there’s never any down time lol.
Our weather has been hot and humid. It’s terrible, I hate it when it’s humid like it has been.

Has school started yet? If so how’s it going?? Did Samu do well going back to daycare after being home for the summer? How is everything else going??

Hi!

I’m glad to hear that Kensi is doing okay (considering all that is going on), but I’m sorry for all the things that you have to go through. You have all my sympathy, I’ve been thinking about you and hoping that you would get some kind of relief. :hb: I am truly at a loss for words!

School starts this week, and Samu’s been going to daycare for four hours a day since the start of August. He loves it there despite the fact that the personnel has gone through some changes and there was no one familiar working when he went back.

I have been exhausted and I feel like the holiday has given me no energy back, so I went ahead and got my blood iron levels checked out, and it turns out that they are very low... My hemoglobin is fine (because I still take the prenatal vitamins) but the ferritin level is really low. I happen to have an appointment at the hospital today (to check on the ovaries), and I’m planning on asking how such a poor ferritin count relates to the miscarriage, my fertility and TTC. According to several sources found online, it may be the cause for a lot of what I’ve been through.

I hope you’ll be able to enjoy the rest of your summer break!

Hi!

We just celebrated Kensi’s first birthday!! She turned 1 on Friday. Time has gone so fast.

I’m finally done work and have 3 weeks before the school year starts back up. How has the start of the year been for you so far? I’m glad he really likes his daycare, I’m sure it’s easuer to send him when he loves it there.

How did your appointment go? Did they shine any light on your low levels and how are your ovaries? I hope they were able to give you some answers.

How is everything else going?

Hi!

Happy birthday to Kensi! :) Time sure does fly by! Did you have a big party? How are you doing now that you’re finally on holiday? :)

The doctor couldn’t locate my right ovary now that it’s free of the cyst... And she told me I can take iron pills if I feel like it. And I’m off the surgery list, since the cyst in the left ovary doesn’t cause any pain etc.

Going back to work has been good but also exhausting. (What’s new there, huh?) So far I’ve enjoyed it a lot better than last year, so that’s good.

I hope you will get a chance to stop and enjoy yourself before you have to go back to work.

Morning!

We didn’t do a huge party but we had a get together with family. We made her an adorable glittery tutu and a matching onesie for her 1st birthday outfit! It didn’t last long, she was cranky and was throwing up on it. She’s been throwing up/gagging quite a bit for 2 weeks. I’m really leaving towards her having a bad go with reflux.

What does it mean that she couldn’t locate your ovary, anything or is it of no concern? I’m glad to hear there’s no surgery in the future, that’s great news! Are you guys going to TTC again at some point?

I’m sure it is exhausting, I will be worn out when I go back too. I’m glad you’re happier in the permanent position! I was wondering how it was going so far.

We are so busy that my tone off will fly by. We just finished putting in a new kitchen now we’re doing flooring g in our dining/living room and we are fixing the roof over our porch on top of Kensis appointments, sports, lawn work and maintaining the house. It’s all too much for me, Id love to get away for a long weekend.

Im glad you’re doing well. Have a good week!!
