question Re hair

Postby AnnaJuly » Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:50 am

I am on a few months of BCP's Re Dr's orders to slow down endo growth. I noticed my hair is less oily and flat. Makes me think my hormones may have been off before making my hair greasier.
Anyone know what condition could cause excess oil??
I do not have pcos. I was a bit concerned about that but the doc gave me the all clear on pcos and ended up finding endo.
TIA!
AJ

I don't have any advice or good information, but I just wanted to say hi AJ! You were so helpful and supportive when I first joined this site, and I haven't seen you in quite a while.

Best of luck to you!! :luck:

It's funny you're mentioning a change in hair...
I've been complaining about the oposite. Since all these fertility meds and hormones my hair has been more oily than ever! And I tend to have a dry complexion and dry hair..
Weird!

I'm currently on my first Clomid cycle and have noticed I have dandruff. Ugh. It's so gross! Before this month I never had flakes and within about 5-6 hours of me showering I'd have to put my hair up to mask my oil, especially my bangs.

Thanks girls :)
I have about another week on bcp till I try ttc again - am going to enjoy my hair till then :dunno:
I was thinking also at end Jan, I had a big ovarian cyst removed - wonder if that made my hormones wonky. I went on bcp almost directly after so maybe it is not the bcp effecting changes but the removal of the cyst. I shall see 8)
I never thought about hormones and hair before but now think there is a connection.

(Good luck with the clomid - socialite!)
