Anyone w/ heart-shaped or septate uterus?

Postby wannababy2011 » Thu Jun 30, 2011 11:19 pm

I've just been diagnosed as having a septate uterus.
The doc told me that there's a wall pushing down from the top of my uterus. The wall comes down about 25% into the uterine cavity. Due to the septum, the outside of my uterus on ultrasound has a heart shape to it.

Feeling kind of alone & hopeless right now. Does anyone else have the same or similar problem? I think I need to talk to someone who knows where I'm coming from.

I also was diagnosed with a septate uterus in the last few months. I am currently undergoing testing to see if I am a good candidate for surgery to have the septum removed. Although even if the septum is removed there is no guarantee on success. It's frustrating. I've had two losses but neither were due to the septum.

I've done a lot of Internet research on this. Some women didn't even find out they had a septum until they were having their c-sections. Others had a lot of difficulties getting pregnant.

I'm here if you ever want to chat...just know you are not alone :)
