Yey congratulations Ana!!!!! :happyforyou: :happyforyou: :happyforyou:

Wow a big baby as the doctors predicted. i bet that was hardwork. Were you induced in the end? its not pleasant is it?
Your labour was quite short thankfully, although I bet it didn't feel that way to u at the time.

I love the name, its gorgeous. I bet you are a mixture of all sorts of emotions, but youve done it - welcome to mummy club! :D

Love to see a photo when you get a second.

Currently Jack is feeding on me so im having to type this with one hand - its amazing what u learn to do with one hand!!!
He has regained his birth weight and should be around 8lbs now although he wont be weighed until next week by the health visitor.
I am slowly recovering from the c-section and have been out and about a bit more. Thank god the weather has been good to even just sit in the garden for some fresh air.

My birth story is quite sad really but after a failed induction lasting 16 hours (my contractions were too strong and close together), the baby got into distress (his heartbeat dipped below 100) and they rushed me in for a c-section. Tom missed the birth as they couldn't wait and I went throught the whole process alone. I am very upset about all this as I didn't want to be induced or have a c-section and in the end I had both.

Still the main thing is he is here and healthy but not quite the labour I had planned for. Hope your birth story is better than mine!

Congrats once again Ana, I am so thrilled for you and your DH.

Lots of love to you and baby Sadie.

P.s I tried uploading a photo but it says the file size is too big. :(

Hi Nicky, hi Shells,

Sorry for the absence. I can't believe how long it has been since I managed to post anything. Life with a newborn is crazy, I just had no idea. Some days I have been lucky to get dressed and eat properly. Sadie is wonderful and the best thing that ever happened to me but, wow, what a steep learning curve. We found out last Monday she was diagnosed with reflux and has been having Gaviscon ever since. It is like having a whole new baby. Before we realised what was wrong with her she would cry for hours. I had no idea why so would keep going through the is she tired, hungry, needing a nappy changed cycle, which probably made her reflux worse and cry more not less. Now she is being treated properly she hardly ever cries.

Nicky, I don'y know if you ever visit here anymore but I would love to hear how you and baby Jack are getting on. There have been two baby Jacks in my NCT group. It is such a lovely name. please come back and tell me how you are getting on.

Shells, I see from your ticker you are now 20 weeks. I hope the pregnancy is progressing well. You have the most wonderful journey ahead of you. I would also love to hear how you are getting on.

OK, I am going to attempt to post a picture of Sadie....

Congratulations, Shells. Two boys... How exciting. You had better start shopping. It's one of the best parts of having a baby, apart from the baby itself, obviously.

I am really thrilled for you.

Hi Ladies

Sorry for late reply. It has been quite busy here with Jack and a thesis to try and complete!!

Ana- Ive PM you but again to say, Sadie is absolutely gorgeous. I really cant believe our babies are here after our long struggle against the odds. :D :D

Shels - Wow twin boys! Congratulations!!! You are going to have your work cut of for you for sure! :happyforyou:
I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes really smoothly. Please KUP on your journey.

AFM - Well time flies by, Jack is 11 weeks now already and a very smiley lovely little baby. He feeds almost constantly still but he seems to be doing well on it.
He still only weighs 10lb 10oz so he is small but the health visitors aren't worried so Im not. As long as he seems healthy, thats all i worry about.
Ill try and send a photo of Jack but every photo, the file says the JPEG is too big.

Anyway love to both. Id beeter go as Jack is crying away and its hurting my ears!!!
N
xx

Hi Nicky and Hi Shells,

Shells, I hope all is going well with you and your pregnancy. Any news?

Nicky, how are things? It is lovely to hear that Jack is a good and smiley baby. Sadie is also very smiley but she just won't be put down. It is totally exhausting. She sleeps OK at night but she won't nap during the day unless she is being held. It means I get absolutely nothing done. I am so impressed that you are managing to do your thesis. How is your course going.. I expect you'll be glad when it's finished.

Sadie has woken up.... I'd better go.

Oh, by the way Nicky, you can compress photo file in Office to make it smaller or save it as a tiff file.

I'm being kicked and punched daily now and i love it :) two very active boys in there lol Sorry to hear sadie won't settle without being held, that must be difficult! Hope she soon starts to self sooth and you can get some jobs done x

Nicky hope Jack is doing ok :0 good luck with that thesis... you have a lot going on bless ya!

All well here :) we're almost ready 'stuff' wise jut got the cots to pick up from the shop, they are paid for they are just holding them for us till we can get over. Then the room to decorate and topping up on all the nappies and wipes we'll need lol

going to look at a car tonight too... my little 3 door sports car isn't going to work with twins in it lol x

Hi Ladies,

Finally I think I managed to upload a photo of Jack!!
I hope you are all doing well.
We are fine, the nights are getting easier but the boy really does not want to sleep during the day, so its full on for me.
Love to see your photos and updates.
Lots of love
