Thyroid test results :-/

Postby Robyneggs » Thu Jun 26, 2014 12:11 pm

My TSH is 18.1 and FT3 is .89. Dr. Prescribed .20 mg Synthroid to start today. Been on bcp for 15 years and started TTC In april. Had a normal cycle with AF showing up on day 27. But this month I started charting and never saw a temp rise to say that I ovulated even though I could tell my body was trying to. I'm on CD 32 now. I guess my question is....I'm about to be 41 in a few months and has anyone had luck conceiving when their thyroid is so out of whack?

I know how you feel, my tsh was 40! I have been told to stop trying until this falls below 3. I too am interested in hearing from anyone who has been through this!

My thyroid was out of whack. They put me on 50 mg of synthroid. My levels went down to normal after about 6 weeks. I go in every 6 months to get bloodwork and my levels have been fine for the past year and a half. I haven't gotten pregnant yet but I don think it's because of my thyroid issue.
TTC since Feb 2012
3 months of Clomid Oct -Dec 13 - BFN
IUI #1 - March 14, with letrazole and trigger shot - BFN
IUI #2 - May 14 with letrazole and trigger shot. Husband had 2% morphology and 7 million post wash.
IUI #3 - July 9 - letrazole, Gonal-F injections, trigger shots and progesterone pills. 4, possible 5 follicles. BFN.

I have low progesterone and husband has 3% morphology. Other than that everything else is normal.

Wow those are pretty high levels. I wouldn't risk getting pg at 40 tsh either.

I don't know my levels but I have been on 75 and 125 mcg, mostly 75 forever. Recently up to 100. Because I started it hears before ttc and had my levels monitored I felt ok but I know it can cause issues conceiving and even more issues if you become pg and your levels are too out of whack.

I would also get them to check t3/t4 levels as these are more important than tsh.
