Husband is completely infertile.

Postby LizzyandJoe » Sun Nov 02, 2014 3:48 am

We have been trying for a baby for 2 years. Since it wasn't working we decided to both have tests done.

My tests have come back completely fine, however it turns out my husband is completely infertile.

We have been told there is nothing they can do at all since they can't find a single sperm in his semen. We are waiting for more tests but have waited for around 4 months for an appointment and looking for a little hope?

Is there anyone else that has been told they are completely infertile? And was there something that could be done?

We are starting to think about sperm donors but want to make sure that there is no chance of having a baby together before we go ahead and all the doctors we have seen have been completely useless.

Hi, sorry I can't help but I just wanted to see how you were doing. Have you gotten any more info? I know there are a few ladies doing IUI that are using donor sperm, maybe you could get some more info over on the IUI board. I hope you can find some answers and I wish you all the best!

Did your doctor mention That there's a possibility of sperm even if it's not in the semen? I think the procedure is abbreviated TESE or something. I've heard of people who get that done and do ivf

I suggest you to ask your doctor about surgerical sperm retrieval. It is done when nomal sperm is not produced or ejaculated in semen. If you need details contact me.
