luteal phase defect on Clomid - low amh

Postby brandi229 » Wed Apr 13, 2016 3:45 pm

I just had my first Clomid/IUI cycle and i still had a short luteal phase. my doc doesn't believe in luteal phase defect, so not sure what to do. i've been doing acupuncture for over 5 months now and still a short LP. i also have a low AMH (.25) so i'm scared to do another round of clomid until the LP is fixed, since i don't have many eggs left. with a short LP, even if i were to conceive, it's not likely i would be able to carry. my progesterone tested normal, which normally short LPs = progesterone deficiency.

supplements - royal jelly, DHEA, Vitamin D3, prenatal, CoQ10, baby aspirin, fish oil
(i was taking dong quai-chinese herb & vitex before i started Clomid, stopped to avoid any interactions)

cycle breakdown:
clomid days 3-7
ultrasound/ovidrel trigger day 12 (4 follicles, 3 right, 1 left)
IUI day 13
ovulation* day 14 or 15 (based on ovulation pain, cervical mucus)
day 17 - progesterone test (23)
period day 23 (evening)

any words of wisdom? trying to not lose hope.
