AF 10 days duration - is it normal?

Postby geeky_gab » Sun Aug 13, 2017 7:28 am

Good morning to all,

It often happens that AF will linger on for 10 days. First two are very heavy, other 8 are all red blood, sometimes skipping a day (this cycle, day 7 was "dry"). Only rarely will it lasts for less than 7 days.
My RE does not seem worried by this since we know from ultrasounds and ovulation tests that I ovulate a few days later, generally day between day 12 and 15.
What do you think? Anyone in this situation was able to concieve? I am worried that this may be a factor in our current infertility situation.
Thank you, in advance, for your insights and experiences!

I see your concern, hun. Have never experienced sth like this. Usually my AF lingers for 5 days. Rarely - up to 7 days, but not more. My Dr says it's due to hormonal imbalance. I really don't know how it influences concepion. You'd better get the second opinion on the point. Take care x
