miscarriage

Postby stillamother26 » Wed May 06, 2015 7:13 pm

I recently had a miscarriage at 5 weeks but find that I can't talk to anyone about it and those I do take to don't know what to say. I guess I was just looking for some kind words to make me feel better about this experience. If you have any kind words please leave some for me. Thank you.

Even when you have a happy healthy baby you will still think about the one/s you lost. That's how we keep them alive. Sometimes it's with wonder and sometimes it's with sadness but they will always have a piece of you. It's not about getting through it, it's about learning to find a place in your heart to keep them but still leaving room for your future, and happiness. It's really strange watching a child grow up that shouldn't be hitting milestones alone. In a way it's comforting but in a way it's a constant reminder and a sadness, more for her for what could have been. My mom had a miscarriage before my sister and I and had she not had that, my sister wouldn't be here. This is a truth we've always known. I don't know who that baby would have turned out to be and I'm not glad that happened but I'm glad it is what it is.

I'm sorry to hear that. Can't really said anything beautiful because you are the one who is suffering right now. All I can say is cheer up and turn sadness into others that can help you to stand up again and move forward! Wish you all the best!

I've also had a miscarriage at week 5. Doctor said that it's a chemical pregnancy - means that the egg and sperm met, they implanted, but somehow the zygote is not optimal, so the body ended the pregnancy. If you had carry that baby to term, he or she has a high likelihood of getting born with a disability or disorder.

In your second miscarriage, I guess something happened inside. I think God wants you to have a healthy child and thats why the miscarriage occurred. Also, I found that it really helps me to talk about it. Not just on this site, but also to someone, a friend perhaps. People may not understand it, but it will feel good to get it off your chest. It's OK to feel sad. You should definitely take the time to mourn for both unborn children. But whatever you do, just don't give up!

I too had a miscarriage earlier this month at 5w4d. It was the worst feeling in the world. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I felt like people wanted to support me but what is there to say in a situation like this. I hope you soon find peace. Know your angel baby will always be with you

Definitely. I'm in the TTC after loss group too. I've had four very early losses and one slightly later at 9 weeks. We all understand what you're going through, so please do pop in if you want to. x
