I just wanted to share an answered prayer

This is from a couple months ago but it's such an awesome testimony to God's provision.

I went for my first RE appt at the end of April 2005 and that's when my RE did an u/s and found 2 growths on my ovaries (one one each). They weren't fluid filled like the functional cysts you get in the 2ww, they were solid which had me soooo scared and thinking thoughts like "What if it's ovarian cancer?" Then my RE said that I would need to schedule surgery to have them removed before we could discuss TTC. I was so scared because I've never ever had any kind of surgery before, never been in a hospital, etc and freaked out that I might have something really bad going on inside of me. The surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks later.

In the mean time I worried myself sick (literally) and posted a lot online looking for other people who have had laparascopy, etc. I was also a part of a Christian girls TTC buddy group and everyone prayed for me a lot. Well, come to find out that 2 of the girls in that buddygroup also recently had laps and the more we talked, we realized we all have the same RE! Since we all live in the same city, we decided to meet for lunch so they could reassure me that everything was going to be just fine. At that lunch meeting, I found out that one of the girls also lives in my neighborhood (like 1 street away!) and also goes to my church and just had her lap less than 2 weeks before. It's so amazing how God works. So the night before my surgery, both girls called to make sure I was okay and then brought be food a couple days later as I was recovering. If it weren't for them, I don't think I could have had the peace and the strength to endure everything I went through.

It's amazing how the Lord provides all of our needs, even in the midst of a huge trial. We serve an awesome God!

That is such an awesome story! I love it when you can actually see God's hand in things!

P.S. You must have a big church not to have known the other girl! LOL Our church only has less than 200 members! :D

Elle that is awesome! When I had my second son it was 12-23 and Christmas Eve when we got out of the hospital, I wish I would have known someone who could have made us a meal- we had to stop at Arby's because it was the only thing open, on the way home from the hospital for dinner!

God is awesome- I am so thankful for the great support and people I have met here.

mom2boonmalachi,

Thanks for your prayers. I am so thankful for the gift I have been given. We have been TTC for 4 months and I think back now I was not ready before now, my brother just had a breakdown and needed me to fly out and be with him a few weeks ago and if I had been pregnant I might not have felt well enough to go and he really needed me. Of course I was so sad and upset when I never got the :bfp: , but I see now that God had a plan- he just did not reveal it to me :D until now.

I pray for everyone to get a :bfp: .

Thanks Kate!

Next month will be our 4th cycle and I know God does everything in his own time, it took me 6 years to get my 3yoDD, and a year ago this month I got pregnant with my DS. I know God will give me a child when He is ready. I am so happy for you! Please update the Stork board with u/s pics and info so we can share in your blessing!

I loved your story. Yes God does work in many ways that we may not understand.
I am so grateful that I have found this site.
I enjoy spending time on the other site that I am part of but I actually feel God knew I needed some new friends to chat with on message boards. So here I am.
Again Elle I loved your story.
