Thank you God for helping me relax this cycle! I feel a new sense of peace and trust that you will choose the right time for us to be parents again. Thank you so much for giving me a new outlook and helping my body function properly. I will continue to give you my trust because I know you have a plan for me.

I also wanted to get in on this action and take the time to THANK GOD for my little miracle that I just found out about yesterday. I think that sometimes we get so caught up in trying to give credit to other thing that we forget who has given us the true miracle. I never really comment on the forums, but I saw this and I just couldnt resist. Once again, THANK YOU GOD and I hope that everyone will soon get their :bfp:

Mary, I don't know much about your history but I can tell from your signature that you've had two miracles in a row!! God is just amazing. Do you mind briefly sharing your journey? I need some encouragement. Your babies are sooooo adorable!! God has indeed fearfully and wonderfully crafted them.

Thank you, Lord, for blessing Mary and her husband with these two precious children, whom you have given them as your heritage, as tokens of the wonders of your mighty work. We stand in awe of your loving kindness to us. You always know what is best for us and thank you for taking the lead in making those choices for us.

Abby- Thank you so much for your beautiful prayer of thanks! I truly believe that my faith in letting God take control of things allowed us to be blessed with our little miracles. I will keep you in my prayers and pray that God will give you the ability to relax and keep trusting in him and his power. :)

I don't mind sharing our journey at all.

In late 2005 I stopped taking the BCP and we started TTC. I had very irregular cycles sometimes lasting up to 90 days. In the summer of 2006, I scheduled an appointment with my GYN and she ran some tests that showed I had PCOS. She wanted to start me on Clomid to regulate my cycles but tested DH to see if he was contributing to the problem. Turns out that he had terrible issues with his sperm. Only a count of 4 million and of those 4 million, only 2% of them were normal. The Dr. told us that we would either need a true miracle, or IVF. I was devastated. There was nothing more in the world that I wanted more then my own children. After dealing with the GYN, I decided to schedule an appointment with an RE to find out if he could help us. Our appointment was a couple months away so I decided not to worry about it until then and leave it to God. A month later and one month before our RE appointment, by the grace of God, I got a BFP (I did take Soy that cycle) I couldn't believe it! I think that I ovulated on cd46 that cycle. I was always told that late O's like that rarely result in a BFP because the egg is too old. Anyway, we were absolutely shocked, thrilled, and thankful that the Lord gave us a chance to have a child.

Fast forward to the second time around. We decided when DD1 (Lauren) was just a few months that we wanted to try for #2. We were basically leaving it up to chance since I was nursing Lauren and still waiting for AF but when she was about 9 months, I stopped nursing so I would get AF back. After I stopped nursing, my GYN ordered some tests to make sure that I was in working order and did another SA on DH. His SA came back much better but still a few issues. My tests showed that my hormone levels were out of control and I also had a thyroid problem that I was unaware of. I immediately scheduled an appointment with an endocrinologist to get my thyroid regulated. In the meantime, I also spoke to an RE who said that once my thyroid was within normal limits, we could try Clomid. I saw another RE for a second opinion and he said that we should wait at least another 6 months because we were "obviously" a fertile couple. My friend suggested I see another RE that she was seeing and we ended up sticking with her. She put me on a cycle of BCP to suppress my out of control hormones.

The next cycle, I had an HSG done which showed that everything looked great. I also took 100mg of Clomid on days 2-6 (I believe). I was being monitored by U/S and when my 2 or 3 follicles were about mature, I did a trigger to release the eggs and we did 2 IUI's. That resulted in a BFN.

The next cycle we decided to take a little break and save up for the next IUI. The Dr. put me on Prednisone to lower my DHEAS level and I also took Soy Isoflavones, baby aspirin, and Geritol. DH also took Fertilaid. During that time, I got my hands on some injectables that someone didn't need anymore that were very inexpensive in preparation of the Injectable/IUI cycles that we were about to deal with. Around cd12 I started having some crazy pelvic pains so the RE did an u/s and said I would be ovulating in about 5 days. She was right, about 4/5 days later I O'd. This was exciting for me because I had never ovulated that early in a cycle (on my own). I believe it was cd16. DH had a repeat SA done which came back really bad. We had a consult with the RE when I was about 8dpo and she said that she would only be willing to do 1 or 2 cycles of IUI but to be prepared for IVF. She said that with his morphology and count, our chances would be extremely slim with IUI. I had an incredible sense of calm take over me this cycle so I wasn't worried after she told us this. I knew that having faith in God is all that was needed. 2 days later, I tested and got a BFP. We did it again, on our own.

I feel so incredibly blessed that God gave us the opportunity at parenthood twice! I still can't believe it and sometimes I am afraid I will wake up from this awesome and amazing dream. We would love a third but if God only wants us to have 2 then I will accept that. We are leaving it up to him though.

Sorry that was so long! I hope it all made sense. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about anything.

Anyway, here is a little photo montage I created about the pregnancy and first couple months with James. :)
