chemical pregnancy

Postby Nique88 » Sat Apr 09, 2011 5:59 am

Hello ladies i havent been on here in forever because i had stopped trying to hard to get pregnant the stress from not being able to concieve surely wasnt helping any. Well heres my story last month around March 19th i started havent weird twinges in my right ovaries almost like a pinching feeling, then around the end of the month my breast werent sore like they usually are since this is normally the time i start my period April 2nd my period was due nothing came April 3rd still nothing and April 4th still nothing but a bunch of bad cramps that kept me up in the middle of the night. So that night i took a pregnancy test which immediately turned postive nothing to dark but definitely a positive so i went to the Dr's in the morning excited to start my pre-natal care. When the test came back the Dr said my hcg level was at 13 i was pregnant she said but just "barely pregnant" and scheduled me to come back the following monday to take another blood test. That thursday 2 days later i started bleeding started off light then by morning i was passing clots. I then went into the Dr's again to where the didnt even check me he just told me right away i had what was called a chemical pregnancy checked my hcg levels and they were back to zero! i was devastated i had shared this wonderful news with everyone and just 2 days later i was breaking the news that i had a miscarriage. Has anyone experienced this and got pregnant again that same cycle as soon as the bleeding stopped? I want to try again right away i hear that your really fertile after this happens.

sorry for you loss!! it is so tough to share wonderful news and then to have it end ((((hugs)))) i have heard of many women that try right away! i had a m/c at 8-9 weeks and we did not take a break from trying. we have not had luck yet but it has been 2+ years of TTC, including 5 medicated cycles.

Good luck and i hope you get your BFP soon!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss....I'm not sure about fertility rates the month right after. There is some bright news though....

When I had my loss my doctor told me that getting pregnant was half the battle and then maintaining the pregnancy was the other half. Getting pregnant even though it was very short mean that at least that part of the equation is working.

Good luck trying again, hopefully this next one is sticky!

I'm sorry for your loss.

I find myself here in this forum today because this is the 3rd anniversary of my miscarriage. It's such a hard thing to deal with and I was hoping to give some words of support or advice to someone going through it now.

I'm so sorry for your loss and agree with what you said about the stress complicating becoming pregnant. As far as getting pregnant right away, I don't have any ideas about the numbers. I chose to wait for one normal cycle before trying, but it took me a year to get pregnant. I believe this was mainly due to stress. That's my number one tip- just try your best to relax and not think about it all the time.

I just started a Mama Blog that you might be interested in following. Today's post is about coping with miscarriage in honor of my baby's miscarriage anniversary. I talk a little about my story, things that helped us cope, and becoming pregnant again. I think you would enjoy reading it. Please check it out and follow me if you would like! http://fivefeetoffun.blogspot.com

Wishing you luck and blessings!

So sorry about your loss. :( :hugs:
I have heard it go both ways. I have heard of a lot of women getting pg the next cycle.. and I have heard stories of women having to wait a few. I have heard that you are more fertile right after something like that but I do not know if its a proven fact. I had a MC at 10 weeks but I didn't try again right away. Fingers crossed that you are able to get another BFP real soon.. Sorry I wasn't able to really answer your question.

Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. The good news is I think your body knows what to do now. I got pregnant 2 cycles after my chemical! I'm hoping the same for you.

I am so sorry you have to go through this. Not that it helps the loss but my doctor told me that he HATES the new pregnancy tests that show positive with so little hormone. He said that he feels everyone has chemical pregnancies, just back in the day when the tests were not as sensitive no one ever had to feel the loss. I have been through 3 confirmed chemical pregnancies. I got pregnant the cycle after every time. My doctor says as long as you feel emotionally ready there is no reason to wait.

After trying for 6 years, and one spontaneous abortion (three years prior) I had a chemical pregnancy one month and a BFP the very next month. Good luck, and lots of baby dust your way!
