To wait or not to wait that is the question?!?

Postby Itskels » Thu May 16, 2013 4:00 pm

Hello Ladies,

I just suffered my second miscarriage on April 12. My first one was March 8, 2011. I really want to try again right away. After my first miscarriage my doctor ran test and everything turned out fine. I waiting for my work insurance to come in but I'm not sure if I should try again so soon or should wait and get more test done. I just got my first period today, I have never been so excited to get my period in my life!

I read an article that studies show its best to get pregnant again within 6 months following a miscarriage. Any thoughts on this?

I am 29 and bd is 30

Hi, Itskels...we'll probably try again right away, once things go back to normal. I had a friend who miscarried and got pregnant right away (like right away!) and she has a beautiful daughter. Good luck <3<3

I think trying to conceive again soon after the miscarriage helps tremendously. We miscarried the first week of May and I have already ovulated and we are TTC. Wishing you the best :-)

Also three days late, but two BFNs so far. I'm beginning to wonder if feeling normal was a joke or if this is the start of something amazing.

AF showed up....late, like a jerk. I actually called the NP at my OBGYN to ask about how long to wait-- she admitted that if I o'd on time (and I did) that the luteal phase should remain nearly the same (it didn't at all) and ended our call with the ever helpful "well you're either pregnant or you're not." After that I decided to switch offices and AF arrived. FUN.

Your symptoms sound like how I was...I'd have random symptoms of pg then AF then pg...wash, rinse, repeat. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Another frustrating cycle, so we'll be trying next week....again. It's starting to get really frustrating and it has only been two cycles post m/c. I think the hardest thing is re-feeling the pain. I feel like every AF and every BFN I feel the loss again, thinking of where the little bean would be now, how soon we'd be seeing him/her. It doesn't help that DH told his brother who told everyone else on that side of the family. So then I had to deal with my s-i-l telling me how it wasn't really that big of a deal and how things are worse for her....UGH!! This is private and personal!!! I didn't want to tell his family we were trying let along we were pregnant then had a miscarriage and now it's like they're all watching and waiting....sorry, a lot of emotion there-- loaded question I guess!!

What CD are you on? What's your "strategy" this time?
