Trying again after 2 Chemical Pregnancies

Postby m.r2014 » Sat Feb 22, 2014 6:13 pm

Hi ladies,
First and foremost, I am very sorry for you loss.

For those of you who have experienced a chemical/multiple chemical pregnancies, I have 2 questions:
1. How long did you wait before trying again?
2. How long until you got another BFP & was everything okay?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Melissa,

I just had a chemical last cycle and I'm already back to trying. I read that it depends on the person, but for most although an early miscarriage tends to elongate the next cycle, with chemical pregnancies it most often is followed by a normal cycle. And that does seem to be the case as I ovulated around the same time this cycle as I did last cycle whereas with my miscarriage several months ago, I had an abnormal 6 week cycle after.

Sadly I cannot answer question number two for you :(

I will add, that the reason doctors used to advice waiting a few months had nothing to do with probability of having another miscarriage and had everything to do with the fact that it can mess up the dating of the pregnancy. Basically, waiting after a miscarriage is more for emotional reasons (which should be respected as time may very much be needed) but if you feel emotionally ready than you should be physically ready after a chemical and do not have to worry about delaying TTC if you don't want to.

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))
BFP on Friday Feb 3rd 2017 but ended in miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks :(

Didn't chart this time, last time was TTC for over a year, BFP chart from daughter :D :

Thank you so much HappyFroggy! I am sorry for your loss!!
I had my doctors appointment yesterday and they are sending me for a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow. My beta was 26 so they said we don't have to wait. I am being sent to a fertility specialist because they are classifying it as Recurrent loss of pregnancy. Pretty emotional day, I came home pretty upset.
Thank you kindly for replying and I hope that this is your cycle!

Baby dust xoxo
