I'm a Case Worker.

Postby mrsm44 » Mon Apr 28, 2014 3:43 pm

I get so damn frustrated with parents that I work with. I help children learn and practice coping skills for their various diagnoses and traumatic experiences in life. There are several families that I work with that make me want to scream in their face that they should be grateful to have such beautiful children, when there are many people who can't/are having trouble having babies that would make wonderful parents. How come it seems that low-lives are easily able to get pregnant, abuse their bodies when they are, and then have beautiful, healthy children, only to abuse them as well? WTF? The whole thing is so backwards, it makes me really angry. :x

I think it is part of the whole adage that you dont know what you have until its gone. Those who havent gone through loss cant even imagine what it is truly like, then can offer sympathy but dont know what it feels like. I believe that we experience things to help others and to be more sensitive when we are in frustrating situations with our children or those we come in to contact with. I am a middle school teacher and seriously some people have know idea how they are messing up their children by how they treat them.
