TTC right after loss

Postby marie5810 » Wed Jul 09, 2014 9:47 am

I had a weird hpt, positive blood pg test at 8dpo, doubled 10dpo, then didn't a few days later. It was probably a chemical pg. I started bleeding on the 4th, and am spotting now. Has anyone tried to conceive immediately after a loss? My levels are very low, less than 10 today. My OB said we could. He also mentioned Clomid and that helping with maturing my eggs, if that is the problem. No one can solidly figure out what is causing all our losses. After our loss in October, I supposedly ovulated 20+days later. This cycle, ovulation was on CD24. My cycles are very inconsistent. When I was properly charting, I would O on CD12-14, and had 28 day cycles. Hubs says it is up to me, since my body is the one going through all of this. I don't know what to do or when to expect O, if I even O.

Hi there....so sorry for your recurrent losses. I'm glad that your doctor is willing to try clomid to help you. If doctor has given you the clearance to TTC right away, then there's no medical reason to wait. Are you emotionally ready to TTC? It may take a while for your cycle to right itself. Good luck to you!!

I'm sorry for your loss, I miscarried on the fourth as well :( my Dr told me to wait a cycle, but I was only five weeks, and mc naturally, so I'm going to go ahead and give it a shot. I figure, I've been trying for over two years, I'm not about to go out and buy condoms. If you decide to try, best of luck!!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I tried to conceive the first cycle after a D&C at 8 weeks, but it didn't work out. I was so frustrated once I got AF, because we tried to do EVERYTHING right that we could possibly do to conceive that cycle. So now I am in my second cycle post m/c. I was convinced that I was ready right away, but I realized after that I felt so desperate to become pregnant again that I was losing myself in the process. It was really stressful and now this first AF is outrageously heavy and painful. Looking forward to a better second cycle :)

Marie-I am about ready to ovulate after my first m/c (chemical pregnancy). Everything happened naturally, no doctor intervention. I'll let you know though, my cycle has been different. AF is normally 5 days with spotting on the 6th and it goes from Heavy, to Medium, Medium, Light, light, spotting. This time, it was 6 days with spotting going from Heavy, Heavy, Medium, Medium, Medium, Medium, Spotting. Definitely different. Anyway, the day I started spotting I had my first bout of EWCM. I'm now on CD10 and have a TON of EWCM. I normally don't ovulate until CD 15-17 or so. I bet I'll ovulate before CD12 this month.

This was our first ever BFP right after our 2 year wedding anniversary, so it was really emotionally tough. We tried to see the positives from it knowing we can get pregnant. I also feel in my gut, my progesterone was still too low even with 100mg of progesterone. So, I'm upping it to 200mg. I'm considering taking it vaginally (more effective) instead of orally as well. We'll only see where we go from here. I just knew at the beginning of last cycle it would be our cycle. Well, technically we got pregnant but it didn't stick. The weird thing is, I'm oddly confident about this cycle as well. I have that same feeling that everything is going to work out. I sure hope it does.

Good luck, sweetie! If the doctor clears you and you're emotionally ready for it, I say have at it! I'd start OPKs as soon as you can though as I wouldn't normally start them until CD10 or CD11, but that could have been too late for me this cycle.

I believe in it too. I do feel confident that it will happen for us this year, I just hope I'm right! Those 10 days I knew I was pregnant were amazing and I can't wait to feel like that again.
