Seriously, is it ever going to happen?

Postby mrsm44 » Sat Aug 16, 2014 4:24 pm

We had lost our son at 21 weeks in December. We've been trying to get pregnant since, pretty much. Is it ever going to happen???? I've taken OPK's, checked cervical mucus, have BD'd more often in general, drinking more water...wtf? I'm sorry for the language, but I'm getting really effing frustrated.

I'm sorry. I know it is super frustrating and heartbreaking. Chances are you WILL get pregnant again. What has your doctor said? I know if you're under 35 yr old they won't start doing tests until after you've been unsuccessful for a year. If you're 35 or older then they will start doing tests after 6 months TTC.

Well, when I was pregnant the first time, I was under Medicaid, due to a recent move and no employment. So, I haven't been seeing the nurse practitioner since. I know our bodies take some time from a loss to get back to normal, but I am getting impatient. I am turning 28 this year, and although this is not an old age, I really wished to have my children 5 years apart, and we've been trying again for over 8 months.

You are so justified in feeling frustrated. It's hard enough going through a loss and moving forward from it, but to have to endure more waiting after is just cruel.

I cannot offer you and words of wisdom but only to let you know that I hear you. I have only recently miscarried and expect I'll be back to TTC next cycle, but I am so worried that I too will be in for a long wait. I read where so many people conceive again quickly after their loss, but I just don't feel hopeful that this will be me.

I hope that your wait will be over very soon. Each month you are one step closer to that bfp - this is how I like to think of it. :hugs:

Maybe the universe is making you wait for me. ;) We have a month and a half to wait before we can try again. I sincerely hope you get your BFP before then...but if not...I bet we will get them together. It'll happen...for both of us. Then our next dilemma will be having babies who can't play together because we live states away from each other. :)
