cycles after a miscarriage

Postby rainbowbaby15 » Tue Nov 18, 2014 7:30 am

recently had a miscarriage in September which resulted in a D&C. Before the procedure my cycles were extremely regular and ran an average of 26 days. This is my first cycle since then and it seems to be going normal, currently on CD 21. I'm wondering if it will go back to 26 days, or if it might be different this time. Just trying to figure out when to expect AF.

I think theres no real way of knowing but if it were me I'd expect them to return to very similar. I took the pill to regulate my period after childbirth (a bit different but I guess periods are messed up whatever happens) and after coming off (I took them for 12 days) I had a withdrawal then immediately went back to a normal cycle. Which im now about halfway through. Hopefully youve also returned to a normal cycle and fingers crossed for you xx

Thanks for your reply. I've never had anything like that happen before. Trying to have a positive outlook!

I wish I could say mine returned to normal. My first one pst D&C didn't come for 9 weeks! Like 70 days! Then there on out I have been somewhat regular averaging from 26-39 days..... :-( I hope you are one of the regular people and af doesn't give you an issue. My periods are also SUPER heavy now and last 9 days!

I am so sorry for your loss hun.

My first AF came right when my Dr said it would. Almost to the day. Today I'm CD 22. Normally I'd be expecting AF in four days so we'll see. Sorry for your loss as well. I keep thinking there's no way I can be pregnant this time even though I used opks this time. It can't go that smoothly for me lol
