8 Weeks Post Natural Miscarriage and No AF

Postby tnmomof3 » Thu Jul 02, 2015 5:33 am

I had a natural miscarriage 8 weeks ago (I was 7 weeks along) and still haven't had my first period. My doctor said it could take 2-6 weeks so I think I may need to call him for advice soon. Has anyone else experienced this? We are ready to start trying again!

I've heard that you can still get pg even if af doesn't start back up first! Best of luck to you!

I heard that 4-6 weeks is the most common and was told so by my doctor as well but it can in some cases take up to 10 weeks. But yes you can get pregnant before your AF but its easier to date a pregnancy based on a last AF, that's why many doctors say wait till you have one at least, also it makes sure that your normal cycles start to come back.

That is frustrating, but also in the realm of "normal." It feels like FOREVER when you just want to move on. After this last miscarriage it took 7 weeks to get AF back and it felt like eternity. Then I finally felt some "closure" and able to move on. I hope it shows up for you soon. After 10 weeks, though, definitely call your doc. Best of luck. So Sorry for your loss
