Should I be worried? Update:)

Postby KimmyH » Wed Jul 01, 2009 7:13 am

Hi everyone! My betas are in and they are 318 at 14 dpo and 1901 at 18 dpo, that's a 36 h doubling time!!!!! I am so relieved to know everything is going ok so far. On another note, I learned an important lesson about comparing hpts too much: DON'T DO IT! It freaked me out so much, and it turns out everything was fine! On the day I first posted, I was SURE I was having a chemical! I will still be anxious until I see the hb, but now I can relax for at least a few days. Thank you all for your advice!

Yesterday at 12 dpo I broke down and took a HPT, I got at WOW dark BFP! This morning I took another with FMU and it was significantly lighter, but still very much BFP. I was deffinitely expecting it to get darker not lighter, especially with FMU! Now, I am very worried that this might be a chemical! Has anyone had a chemical that gave such dark BFPs? Should I be worried? I am trying not to freak out about it, but it is hard! I am going to try to wait until tomorrow morning to test again, but its going to be tough as I am a major POAS-aholic!

Top- 12 dpo at 2 pm

Hey. Just wanted to tell ya that for some reason all my FMU pee sticks were lighter like that, then my evening pee stick. So far, all is good with me and beta #s are increasing.

test again in the PM if you can!

I wish you luck, but lines getting lighter isn't a good thing. *HOWEVER*, like the pp poster said, it could be the time you are taking them. I would take another one in the evening and see what it shows. I just had a chemical/early m/c and my line was light to begin with, but then there was no line a few days later. Although the digi still said pregnant. I would go in for a beta to be sure. GL to you!! I hope this is a sticky bean for you!!!

I wouldn't worry... my internet cheapies were getting darker from 9 DPO to 11 DPO, then on 12 DPO my line was lighter, looked like 10 DPO again... I thought that was weird, but the following 3 days, they were really dark, so I think you're safe... it was probably just the test.

The only way to know for sure is to have a beta....I would since the line is lighter.....although like PP said everything is most likely fine.

I also wouldn't worry--my afternoon/evening tests were always darker than fmu with my son. I even got a "Not Pregnant" digital with FMU and then a "Pregnant" the same day at 2pm.

Congrats!

Thank you all so much for your support!! I guess I am just a little panicked and paranoid after my m/c in april...probably why the doctor recommends waiting a little longer for emotional healing. I am trying to stay positive, until I have a better reason to freak out!

I would not worry, the 2nd test is still dark, I would only worry if line disappears. I did the same thing with my 3rd pregnancy, if the line was a bit lighter the next day I would totally panic and it was all for nothing. The one time I did miscarry the lines got super super light then disappeared. Remember too urine can be more or less concentrated and test can have more or less dye in it, a test just tells you you are preggo, not how preggo. Try to relax and enjoy, you will feel better once you get that beta!

Even tests from the same box can have different amounts of dye- your line looks great!! With DS and m/c, I got darker lines in the evening. Good luck and KUP!!!
