Evaps and false positives

Got a BFN? or is it a BFP? Talk about the last phase of the two week wait, home pregnancy tests.

I had two very convincing evaps on Wondfo's this cycle. Despite the evaps, I still heart Wondfo's. They are soooo cheap!

I had a faint pos on a dollartree test, so I bought three fact pluses. I took two that day to see if pos but they were neg. So I saved the last one till three days later. It was a pos very clearly. So I went to the doctor to confirm and got a neg pee test and blood test. Doc said to not use same test again. Waited till three days from my row of green birth control pills (6 days from my perriod) and I failed to keep the stick in the cup of urine for 20 seconds...more like seven, but here came a line again! I used an equate early response. This is perplexing me. Is it possible to get false negs and false pos? I am probably going to try one with a pink dye next time.

Got a nice pink line 3 minutes in, and even dried like a BFP! :(

Guys, I gotta say I thing A LOT of these really look like they were chemical pregnancies. Especially the FRER pics. I have done a lot of research on this and if the test was done correctly and that line came up within the time limit, you most likely were pregnant. What I read in many medical journals and on different websites is that in a chemical preg your HCG can plummet within an HOUR! So, you can take a test at 8am let's say, get a BFP with a really sensitive test that is picking up the hormones from the newly attached fertilized egg. But then it detaches from the uterine wall and when it does, your HCG levels plummet fast and you could test again or go into the Dr office and the level will be below detection.

This happened to me quite a few months back. I tested at around 8 pm and then at 3am and got two very obvious BFP's. By 8am the same day, they were BFN's and then my AF came shortly after. Look it up, this is quite common and text book Chem pg.

Here's some great info on the whole poas subject - read on "False Positives"
http://www.peeonastick.com/hptfaq.html

I am not saying false pos and evap lines don't exist- the cheapies really are the most notorious. But the others, esp frer and answer...it's actually quite rare to get an actual false positive. I just wanted to point our that quite a few of those pics seem like Chem pregs to me. But of course we can't prove it and we'll never really know for sure :(

I'm sorry, but you've asked the ladies here for their opinions and they have given it. Its a BFP .... Asking again and again isnt helpful! This is not the thread for this at all.

Please calm down and just try to relax! I'm sure in a few days you'll see some fantastic progression on your sticks with a line like that! Then before you know it you'll have some lovely ultrasound pics to share!

Here is my worst one using the blue tests from Target. Given, I let it dry for a couple hours before it was this dark, but I never get evaps like this on FRERs. So frustrating!

(yes, it's worthy of 6 pictures)
This whole batch has been bad for disapearing positives AND evaps. This test had a bit of a line the whole time, but it seemed too thin during the time limit. Once it dried, holy crap. Worst evap ever.

Here's another Answer indent for you.
When the dye was going across the test, you could see the 2nd line come up as a clear line. It disappeared after a minute.
10 mins later, there was a super super faint line visible.

Out of the case and you can see this indent a mile away
