Freaking out!!

Postby kesney05 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 7:12 pm

I don't even know where to start. This will be baby #4. Definitely not planned. My youngest just turned 1 February 1st. We were not trying but not preventing. My last 2 babies were from the help of clomid. I really didn't think this would happen on our own. I know the struggle of infertility and how heart breaking it can be. I'm just in total shock right now. I believe AF was due Tuesday but I'm not entirely sure because I wasn't keeping track. My cycles have been so messed up since I stopped BF 6 months ago. Do any of you have 4 children? I could use some advice Image

Congrats and how wonderful to be given this gift after your struggle with infertility. You'll be fine with four, I had three under five when I had my last and the older one really helped out by bringing me diapers and keeping the second one entertained whilst I was breastfeeding etc.

Thank for the encouragement!! My oldest is 11 and is pretty helpful. I'm coming around to the idea of having another.

Congrats!! I'm a mom of 4 and pregnant with my fifth. My kids are 13,11, 9 and 2. I think after 3 anymore doesn't really get harder. My older kids are a great help with the younger. I thought we were done after 4 but my dh talked me into one more. It took 4 years to get pg with my first then the others came easily except this one. I had to use clomid after 17 long months of trying. I think I was battling my age! So happy for you and you will add one more and it will be great!!

I asked a friend with 4 how she does it and she said after 3 it's just another mouth to feed. I'm not entirely sure what that means except maybe it doesn't get harder it's just another person in the house and about the same level of hard lol?

Yes I agree although that sounds kind of like oh well just another one. Still the excitement of the first but it's not really harder than 3.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!! I don't even want to tell my family. I feel like they will be very judgey. DH and I had some problems a few months ago that they knew about so I know they will think this isn't very smart. We are good now but I know how they think.

I felt the same way about my family. Just anything more than 3 kids is out of the norm and my dad especially already thinks I have too many Kids. I was going to wait until I was like 12 weeks to tell him but I was having a lot of anxiety about it and just wanted to get it out of the way. Don't worry about other people's opinions. good luck!

I have 4 (my 4th was a total surprise as well) and it honestly wasn't any harder than 3 and my oldest was only six at the time. My older two were so excited help get diapers and wipes and just help me with the baby in general. And you still have 8 months or so to get used to the idea. I think you'll do just fine!

I am 25 weeks with baby #6. My kids are 15, 12, 11, 8, and 5 (and currently baking!). For me, it got kind of easier after 3 lol. They had playmates and as they got older they were cute little helpers. It definitely didn't get harder for me. My #4 was born with the older three being 7, 5, and 3.

Congratulations!!!
