Faulty test, evap, positive???

Postby Naivelyhopeful » Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:07 pm

Had a miscarriage a year ago at 11 weeks and stopped trying, not tracking cycles other than noting down CD1. Currently cycle day 27, super long and irregular cycles that last at least 45 days....

Did a clear blue that had a dyerun and a squinted that was probably an evap and then peed on a frer the following day.

The frer developed and for the first two minutes it was a blank screen without even a control line, after 5 minutes it looked like this and remained the same. The control line is still really light but there’s a thin pink test line. They both appeared at the same time. Is it possible to be a positive or do I take this as a grain of salt? The reason I tested is the feeling of being woozy and sore nipples but I had that last month too so it’s not anything noteworthy.

Neither were FMU

Two tests shows a second faint line I say you can be cautiously optimistic and definitely test again soon!!

Those both look like BFP to me! Two different brands? It is looking good. Use another FRER, and book an appointment!

Unfortunately, it’s a blaring BFN. I’ve just accepted that there’s no way I’d be so lucky to conceive naturally and this was just a fluke. My heart still hurts a bit.

I went back to look at my clear blue and it was a negative again like the dye all disappeared from the test line so maybe it never was positive.

Thanks for your input ladies. I wish it had been different

Sorry about the bummer tests. :( That said... remember that if your cycles are typically ~45 days, you probably don't usually ovulate prior to CD30. Although... sore nipples typically happen a few days after ovulation (due to increased progesterone). So... maybe you recently ovulated and hormones are causing the other "symptoms" you feel. Did you dtd in the last week? If so, and if you did ovulate, there's always a chance...

Those were definately positive! This might have been a chemical pregnancy. Frustrating but a sign things might be possible!
