First time try-ers.

Postby prayingforbaby1 » Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:03 pm

Hi all first time poster and hopefully will be more active on here. This is definitely a negative test isn't it? Husband thinks I'm going a little crazy! 14 days since ovulation last and AF due in next few days plus urine was extra diluted. Should I try again in few days if no AF.

I can't really see anything because the shadow is right where the line would be. Can you post another pic? Or is that BFN already in the trash?

So AF is late, took the another test the 1st day it was due and BFN but AF is still going late and I read I should actually take the test 5-6 days after AF was due - so am just hoping and praying AF won't come and I can do the test later!

If you can confirm O by temping, and are more than 16dpo, you are likely pregnant and HPTs just aren't picking it up for some reason (some women never get positive hpts). Call your doctor and ask for a blood/quantitative test (don't just go POAS in the office b/c you'll likely get the same result).

If you are not temping, and only estimating O based on an app or from opks (which can be positive, but not result in O), it's likely that you just ovulated later than usual/expected, as the LP should be consistent from month to month (so, won't be 13d one month but 16+ the next). Did you have any O-type symptoms AFTER your expected O date (cramping, wet/EWCM/horniness) or a delay in your post-O symptoms (sore breasts 2-4d post-O, bloating, etc)? Give it another week and test again....

Thank you for the advice RoloCat!

Haven't been temping but for past 2 days since AF late have been warmer, I have O strips at home and was going to take them after Jan's AF but it's CD 29 for me now and I'm very regular with my AF. I had cramping and wetness post O (Based on last AF and Flo app) For past 2 days have the worst morning and evening nausea. Just at a point now where have to wait few more days for AF and if not go to the doctors!

Just want to wish you the best of luck. The first time is the most difficult. It's also the most fun, though! You get excited about almost everything, haha! I hope you get a BFP and don't have to wait up too much! Good luck with it. It's perfectly normal to be anxious and to worry a bit!

Thank you lovelies <3

AF now 5 days late - still BFN and I am going MAD. Have been nauseous the past week and took an opk yesterday out of desperation and of course was negative lol.

I can definitely understand that haha! Give it another try in a couple of days. This time is the worst, in the entire TTC journey. Hopefully, you get a BFP! My prayers are love for you. AF being late is a huge indication! Keep us posted on how it goes.

AF now 7 days late, another BFN. Have a blood test scheduled for 10 days for now. Nauseous and my nipples are sore and peeing 2x a much so fingers crossed but am so frustrated with these HPT's - even did a digital one that I think was faulty as it said Not Pregnant 2-33+ (clearblue) You all are lovely and sending baby dust to everyone!

Keep the hope, hun! Seven days is a little too early, in my opinion. It depends and varies from person-to-person. However, the indications look quite good! I really hope you get a BFP. It would be incredible news. Keep us updated on how it goes. I'm really excited about you!

You guys seriously are the best. This is such a lonely experience even with a supportive husband and it's driving me crazy. Took an extra sensitive hpt today and BFN again. At this point I just need to go to a dr. and see why my AF is so late as I'm clearly not pregnant.

I'm new to TTC-ing, joined Fertility Friend today as well. Just to ask ladies, how soon after a missed AF would you test with HPT's? I read everywhere if you are pregnant the HPT should be positive day 1 -2 of missed AF.

Hi there! I m glad that you are not giving up. Keep trying and stay strong. You need to stay patient during this. Stop thinking so negative, you need to cover yourself with positive vibes. Stay blessed! Good luck!
