sweets- thanks for the thoughts. Still don't have my voice back. Had a sore throat, then cough and boom, voice gone. but didn't get officially sick, just worked right thru it.

mary- sounds rough over there. hang in there. it gets better. i'm having two bad days together and I'm a mess too. Babies slept OK, but I had insomnia and night before Lana was waking every 3. but at least i know it's the exception not the norm now. I'd say I'm 70% not-foggy now. I LOVE being not-foggy. Today I'm foggy and I have music class, but i'm not skipping it.

I have decided to sleep on the couch when they cry cuz i can't hear them

hi carter- keep up the great work!

I'm off to get another baby gate today. It's a big mesh one with a door, it's $100 and i hate to invest any more money in baby crap, but I was reading about twin safety, and you just have to have more secure stuff when there's two.

I can't find one on craigslist used. :(

Also, parker is stronger than Brianna ever was and he likes to inspect babyproofing and dismantle. With Brianna, I got away without the second gate because I let her sit on the counter in the kitchen when I cooked. Well, that won't happen with two.

I'm realizing now how different it is for the first child. No one takes your toys, you get lots and lots of eye contact and attention to everything.

With the second, someone is always after your toy and you spend more time in the stroller or behind a gate. Although, I seem to overcompensate out of guilt, so they do get lots of attention in the end.

Slept good again last night so I'm hopeful today will not be foggy.

Really we are fine....just trying to be supermom 24/7. Most days I am ok (exhausted but ok)but lately I have been feeling overwhelmed  . Dh is working alot of OT which is great b/c it means work is finally picking up at his company. But it also means I don't have anyone at home to help keep an eye on the kids while I do things around the house. My mom helps out when she can but she works too. It will get better,I know, just trying to keep my head above water. Things (at home) should slow down a bit after Easter. Then again, maybe not b/c I want to try and start sewing/embroidering soon again. Saturday I finally bite the bullet and bought my $$$ embroidery digitizing software, I love it! Nicole just like you with your camrea I was hesitant to spend that much on myself. But I admit it felt great spoiling myself for a change. Grant it it will take me awhile to learn it but it is a great investment. Eventually I would like to start my own etsy store and sell my embroidery designs. Maybe in 1-2 yrs I may try selling easy to make products like the carseat covers. I would prefer selling just 1-2 easy products that I can customize instead of making several different things that are time consuming.

Nicole --Sleeping on the couch so you don't hear them cry?...Good one  . Our couch is actually right next to the kids rooms so that wouldn't work for me. Our bedroom is far away so if I leave the monitor off I won't hear. Monday night I was so tired I was in bed for 8:30 and out cold by 8:31, Kerry said he knows I was tired b/c I didn't get up when Jacob starting crying in the middle of the night. Thats the first time I every slept thru baby cries....the monitor is 6in from my head. He had to have been crying for awhile for Kerry to wake up :P. Jacob h  as been STTN on/off for the past 2 weeks, one night he went 10 :OOO, the others 8 or 9 hrs. So really we are lucky. But its going to take at least a week or two of solid SSTN for the fogginess to subside. I'm not expecting NORMAL to return anytime soon. He made 4 months today, grow too fast! He's sitting with support. I tried taking him off the Zantac(giving him less doses) but he started spitting up alot everyday so put him back on it and its seems to have stopped, guess it was working :P. He goes Monday for his 4 month shots, the dr is going to think I am feeding him steak and potatoes! He has to weigh 15 or more lbs. Oh well at least he's healthy...poor Benton hardly eats at all. He's suppose to be having major open heart surgery (At least 8hrs long) any day now.

Thats funny, about how the first kid differs from the second. Yahoo had HOW BIRTH ORDER AFFECTS YOUR PERSONALITY article on the front page 2 days ago. We didn't have to go overboard with the babyproofing for Jenna b/c she didnt' dig in everything or climb. Guess that means Jacob will be the total opposite... in every cabinet and climbing on everything  . Buy the extra baby gate if you need one, sure you will get most of your money back by putting it on CL. Once Jacob starts crawling I will have to drag our octagon one (superyard XL) out to baracade him in the living room 8) .

Carter --Woo hoo almost finished student teaching! We are crazy busy too, so feel ya!

Sweets -- LE order came in, everything is really nice. Very high quality, especially the tees. They will be so easy to embroider on  . But may have to return the pants, they are baggy in the crotch (had to order boo 2 sizes bigger) and mommy the seamstress can't figure out how to fix it :P. Oh well, may have to return them...going to mall Friday for bunny pictures anyway.

Wishing everyone else well. The boss isn't here, can you tell ??? Hee hee.

Oh my goodness Mary - for some reason I thought they were waiting a bit to perform it. Pray that all goes well. Please keep us posted. My heart goes in prayer to him and his parents - and all those around him who love him so much.

gard - did you find your big mesh babygate? Just remember that trying to step over them is sometimes a disaster!! I STILL have the bruises to prove it. They've not completey gone away yet. Clutzy me. As for the sleep, I don't have twins and am not sleeping through. Medicated or not, I still wake up. Normal anymore.

carter - thanks for checking in. I bet you are crazy busy and wishing for a bit of a break. You have done so great through school and your student teaching. What a superstar you are ---- and the other ladies here.

amers -- I'm starting to worry about you since you've not checked in with us in a bit. We know you were feeling in a bit of a funk, and because we love you, we want to make sure that you are ok. Am thinking of you tons, and prayers for you to. We can all use them at times to get us through stuff. Hugs my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!

pisces ?????? Where are you?

lyn - am missing you too busy lady. Pop in when you can.

Nothing exciting here. Same old. Out to a meeting this eve --- although I should really stay home instead and get some things done. Am off schedule this week. Lost a day because my back whacked out and left me bent over. Getting better now thank goodness. Have a good evening everyone. Must at least get a task or two done before I leave for my meeting.

MARY- :praying: :praying: :praying: my gosh how terrifying for the parents.

sweets- sorry about your back. yes, I got the mesh gate. Actaully TOm took a spill over our other one last week. Lana cried so hard. She was so scared. The whole thing came crashing down. we don't have it attached to the wall. THe new one is higher, so no way to jump over, must open gate. Parker is so upset with all my babyproofing. He knows I'm fixing his wagon. Toilet lock went on today! I know he's strong and smart and I gotta stay ahead of him.

Maybe we should send amers a pm?

Happy Friday everyone! Thank goodness week is over. Next week short week --- yay!!!

gard - I think you're right. think maybe she could use our extra support right now. Wish I had her address .... I'd send her a lovely card just because.

Ok. gotta run. Was just checking in quick. Have tasks to get done this eve. Anybody wanna mow my lawn for me???? THAT's prob not gonna get done this eve - not the way my back feels right now. Where's an old enough responsible neighbor kid when you need one???

Sorry forgot to update you on Bentons surgery, it went great! It only took 4hrs to complete (1/2 the time estimated). They found some more holes in his heart but they fixed everything  . He's already off the vent and getting stronger everyday. I wish the hospital was closer, would love to go visit.

Took our bunny pictures Friday. Jacob kept looking to the side at all the people passing by so we couldn't get a 'both kids looking straight forward' shot, but just glad to have a picture for Jacobs first Easter. Bringing him for his 4 month check today, oh boy shots :PPPP. I'm guessing he going to weigh in at 15lb 9oz. He is such a ham, he laughs/coos/and smiles all the time. He's growing too fast ladies, I'm get sad everytime he turns another month old :( .

Nicole -- Oh thats funny about Parker being mad about the new restraints. Glad you got your new gate, the sides are that high? Being short I don't know I managed to NOT trip over our gate. Oh no Tom fell? Hope he was ok, I can imagine how scared Lana was.

We watched Valentines Day this weekend......"BLah..:PPPP." Wasn't attracted one bit. Proves like you I am only infatuated (with the character) with Jacob Black, not Taylor.

Sweets -- You poor thing, now your back is hurting..HUGS. I've been taking aleve all week for mine, not sure what I did. Sorry you don't have any help with the yard, I'd gladly load you Dh if you lived closer. His newest thing is wanting to landscape the yard, told him he can do it if plans to keep it up, no way anything is getting added to my plate right now. He thinks I don't care about the house 'looking good.' I can't keep the inside 'looking good' think I am worried about the outside..LOL. Hey our yard is clean and cut, it may be plain looking but that doesn't bother me. I really hope your back starts feeling better! I have lots of cleaning to catch on my days off so I know mine will be hurting by the end of the week.

Amers-- I sure hope you are ok! Sending you lots of huggies and prayers.

Better get moving, leaving early today.........

APPT UPDATE: Holy moley 16lb 13 oz  . My baby is going to be a line backer! Really he dosen't look that big...well to me  . But everyone else seems to think he's much older. I tried him in the stroller (no carseat) but he kept wanting to sit up, terrified he would fall forward even though he was reclined. Dr said we can start spoon feeding him cereal, I already tried a few times and he doesn't seem to like it. Try try try till you succeed right? He hasn't realized what yummy food awaits once he can master the spoon. Once he learns to eat from a spoon we can start inducing baby food. You should see him with a bottle, he's like a vacuum. Still sleeping well, its his 5th or 6th night SSTN 8-10hrs 8) . The other night DH was kinda upset b/c 'I shot him down' after we went to bed early  . Sorry buy when I go to bed early (a rarity) I want sleep. Guess he thinks b/c I have been getting a little more sleep that I shouldn't ever be 'too tired' but I'm still carrying a heavy load. I wish someone would explain to DH that it doesn't mean my energy will return overnight :P. We'll get through it, we both need to make more effort (him with cleaning, and me with :bd: ). Hoping after a get a little R&R on my days off (After cleaning) I will feel alot more energized.

Woo hoo, last day before my 5 day weekend :jump: ! Hoping the boss doesn't drive me nuts today with last minute stuff :PPPP.

Hey everybody - kinda quiet here, so am guessing that everyone is just crazy busy with life. This has been my first chance to check in for a couple of days even.

gard - I really hope Tom is ok from the spill over the gate. Did you tell him I did same only got really banged up. The bruises still haven't gone completely away from the inside of my upper arm. I had told my orthopedist about it because he saw the bruises and I had to explain them of course. He told me a hysterical story about how he got caught trying to step over his garden fence, but darned if he wasn't going to protect his precious tomatoes. He really cut his upper inside thigh and had to stitch the wound himself, and then drive 5 hours to Virginia. He was so funny telling it and of course, I had one of those silly visions of it happening. I've been a bit clumsy at times and I think it's just from my back and being overly tired. We all get a bit wonky sometimes. Good for Parker not being able to get into stuff though. Isn't it amazing how they figure things out so quickly and you wonder how???? Would rather be safe than sorry though. So did you ever hear any update about what happened to that cruise kiddie watcher girl that disappeared from the ship? Just wondering if they found her or what. Oh, and I saw an interview yesterday and pics of Reese and Rob together for the opening of WFE. He looked really good. Not at all pasty and odd as I'd thought before - and he has a rather lovely english accent. Didn't realize that. So, I relent, and give him a bit of room. Will have to see the movie and report back to you.

mary - woo hoo for short week for you!! Will be nice to have some "you" time and get some of the things done that you want to. I wonder at times if I'll ever manage to catch up with everything. Had a bit of a meltdown the other evening in frustration at all the things I have to do myself and wishing I just had some help sometimes. I do -- for the bigger kinds of things at times, but I hate to ask for help. My friend's husband, God bless him, is such a help to me. He is always willing to do things that I just can't manage. Heck, he's even been known to clean my gutters for me without my even asking. They check on me often, and I feel so grateful to have good friends who are so willing to help. And you know, I agree on the landscaping -- sometimes it's just easier to keep it simple. I think your house and yard look beautiful as it is, but you're so right to let him know that's it'll be his gig to care for if he puts a bunch of stuff in. I'm ready to take a few things out --- some bushes that are just not cutting it any moore and a holly bush that's getting a bit overgrown. Would have no clue what to replace anything with or how to make it look great through. Am not really a gardener -- love plants and flowers -- but the kind that pretty much care for themselves!! So, work on getting extra sleep. Kerry will live from the TD you gave him, and besides, if you catch up on all those things on your mind, and some more sleep --- it might be all the better for him later. Good things come to those who wait!!!! :D

So, am worried about the rest of my peeps. Check in when you can all. Mother Hen does get concerned when we don't hear from our favorite people for a while. Know that you are all thought about, cared about, and sent hugs. I think of you often!

Ok - gotta run. Have a meeting and a hair color this eve. Must hide the gray hair so I can maintain my youthful looks. Have a good evening everyone.

Happy Easter ladies!

 I can't view the pics.... not on FB. Probably only person who doesn't, but what can I say. Barely have enough time for everything as it is.

I must not have been a good girl.... Easter Bunny didn't drop off anything for me.
