I like the name Autumn, just make sure it works with initials! When you give a child a Vowel you can spell all sorts of fun things :p

Jilly, it's been a while now, but I distinctly remember the stabbing pain in my nipples - ouch! All in all those bad boys were SO PAINFUL! I hope everything goes well for you!

I totally forgot today, but Ben and I did another Daddy Experience last night:

I really like the name Kenlee! But I think it's wise to hold off on the name game until she arrives - I know I've had my names for a long time, but my cousin brought up a good point to wait to see the baby, sometimes the name just doesn't fit the kid! She said my cousin kyle was supposed to be Conner but it just didn't fit.

Hey all! Sorry I have been MIA but I have been reading every one's posts.

Heather- you look great! I would not worry about what you are gaining. Worry about it after the baby is born. Some people say that breastfeeding helps you lose weight but that did not work for me because it made me so hungry all the time. I also went from a B cup to a D cup when nursing! I never have gone down to a B cup since even though at one point I was almost to my pre pregnancy weight. I also did a pregnancy aerobic type workout with other pregnant ladies. I remember it being a lot of fun!. I had a very easy labor so maybe it helped.

Jill- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I'm glad you are able to be a bit more relaxed with this cycle. If I ever get to to the TWW I am not going to temp either because I think it causes undue stress.

Tessa- I like the names. However, when I see AKC as initials I instantly think of the American Kennel Club. Sorry, maybe that is just me. I really like Autumn Paige though.

AFM- I finished my 2 weeks of making doughnuts in the bakery. It went very well and I didn't even eat a single one! I have been doing fairly well with my GF diet. I have found some really good things to eat and don't feel like it limits me too much. I have lost 5 pounds and I haven't even started working out yet like I would like to. Nothing really new with my cycle. I have been having more CM this week so maybe getting close to O. Hopefully I can get back into temping now that my weird sleeping schedule is over. At least so i can tell when I O.
Skylor goes to camp all next week so my hubby and I get a week to ourselves! I wanted to go away for a few days but we are saving his vacation time for November when we are flying out to Colorado for family vacation and my cousins wedding! So excited for that! We aren't too experienced with flying. Anyone have good advice on where to find the cheapest and best tickets? And is it better to combine air fare, hotel and car rental?

Heather- I forgot to say that I don't really talk about this post much to my DH because I don't think he really understnds but I showed him all of the Daddy Experience thus far and he loved them. I think they would get along quite well. They both have that wacky sense of humor! As soon as he heard your DH say "about" he asked if he was Canadian! I'm horrible with picking up on accents but not him. I love playing board games with my son and family! My family was always big into games. We currently have both Mousetrap and Connect 4 in our closet. I try to buy 1 unusual board game for our family each Christmas.

Ang - you poor thing! Still waiting on that O huh? I would be going mad right about now! Sure it seems like a great thing when you hate getting your period, but when you are needing it to come so that you can make a baby, it's torture! I read your comment to Hubs about what your DH said about the Daddy Experience - I think it made his day. He's been so worried that he's just going to come off as a dork making these videos and that people aren't going to be entertained, so it's always great when people comment and let him know he's doing great! Also, he's very introverted at the best of times, and doesn't like being the center of attention (hard to believe huh?) so making these videos took a lot of guts for him! I really hope the prenatal class really helps with a smooth easy delivery! I'll think O thoughts for you! Way to go on your weight loss so far! How are you feeling eating Gluten Free? I felt like I had so much more energy! And as soon as I did eat gluten again, there was suddenly this bowling ball in my stomach!

This week, two sisters of friends had their babies (that's an awkward sentence, I just meant two of my friends became aunties?) Anyway, both stories were completely different! One one hand, was Melissa's sister, and she laboured hard for 30 hours until she finally begged the doctor to put her under and get the baby via C-section because she just didn't have anything left in her. Katie's sister on the other hand was induced on Monday, and nothing happened until the doctor broke her water on Tuesday night at 6pm, and then she went from 6-10cm in 3 hours, pushed for 45 minutes, and was done! Katie said she didn't even break a sweat!

I don't know about you ladies, but I really hope I have a story like Katie's sister! hahahaha That was her first baby, where as Melissa's sister has one other child.

They both had boys! Owen Brian and Tiberius (Ty) Douglas

Heather it just shows that all the advice in the world doesn't matter....it is your experience and no one else's...and baby Hinson number 2 will probs be a different experience to this one!

I watched bens videos earlier...he is a very funny man. The comments about the baby doll made me laugh!

Oh and I think Tiberius sounds like a game of thrones character....hopefully he'll be a strong little dude.

Heather yes I hope we all have it quick and painless (well less complicated) DP things I will have trouble pushing her out because of my small frame..but I've got big hips so i think ill be just fine! On a side note...can you recommend a good foundation lol I've gotten red spots around my checks and my normal bronze blush looks horrible over it! I normaly just use a powder but I need something to cover the red spots! We have family picks Soon and I don't want to look like a clown :(

My favourite foundation is Smashbox HD Healthy FX Foundation - it's slightly thicker than your basic foundation, but works perfectly for photos (as it's designed by a photographer). You can get it from Sephora, just make sure that you have one of the trained make-up artists match your skin tone (by your jaw line - NOT your cheeks) to get the right color - when you put it on, it should dissapear, not change the colour of your skin. In my opinion, foundation that is the wrong tone looks worse then red spots! I usually put it on with a brush, then use a latex sponge and gently blot and blend out the "brush strokes" and then finish with a similar tone of powder to set the makeup (setting the foundation with powder keeps it in place all day).

Hope that helps!

Heather I wish I could have you to do my face everyday....i love love love make up (i got wrong off Gary earlier today for shopping for more holiday make up!) but I can never get my base to be right. Im currently using a shade that's too dark but looks great...but if I match to my skin tone I look dead!

I can also never manage to cover spots...I have my current post AF breakout and they look awful.

I vote for top secret make up tips from heather!!!

Oh and did I mention it's only 11 sleeps till holiday!

I understand the issue with looking washed out by using your own foundation - You can get around that by using a good bronzer (not I'm not talking about looking like Snooky) Because I'm both Scottish and Ukrainian, I have the Olive skin tone from my dad, mixed with the uber pale skin tone from my mom - long story short, I look pale and greenish without a tan. But since I live in Alberta where the sun doesn't shine every day, I fake the glow with a bit of bronzer - my current favorite for my skin tone is Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer (don't worry the sparkles wear off on the first couple wears so you don't look like a 14 year old wearing glitter every day).

Image

It such a natural "glow" color for me, and I use it every day on my cheek bones, across the strip of my nose, and a dab on my chin and across my forehead. Basically the area that you get the sun kissed coloring when you spend a day out doors.

That little bit of bronzer just gives you a nice glow that looks completely natural. Even on days I don't wear makeup, I use the bronzer. (I typically don't use foundations as my skin is very dry and I have a bad habit of touching my face all day long, so I end up making my foundation uneven and flaky in some spots.)

I tried to find you a picture, but the thing about face makeup is that you shouldn't look like you are wearing it - so you can't see it in any of my pictures. If I remember this weekend I'll take a before and after picture for you of the bronzer trick and you can see that although I don't look tanned, I look so much healthier with a little bronzer on.
