LTTC from the blog side of things:)

Postby orangecat » Fri Jan 02, 2015 8:27 am

Hi ladies

Thought we should have a thread for us that tend to post on the blog side of things (and for anyone else that has been at the TTC game for longer than a year). This way we can post daily and see each others thoughts, questions and concerns by going to one place:) Please join me!

I am currently heading into my 3rd year TTC. I have 5 days left until 12DPO and testing. My LP has never been longer than 12 days except for my MC cycle so I will likely cave and test at 11DPO.

Hiya orangecat, me and my hubby are now in our 7th year off TTC #2, i have crazy irregular cycles and I rarely ovulate and my hubby has a low sperm count so we have a few factors against us... We have decided to NTNP at the moment as the last 7 years has been hard on both of us.

I will keep my FX that you get your bfp in 5 days time :)

Hi Orangecat!
I found you!
Thank you for creating this thread.

-I am participating in a free IVF clinical trial/study in the US at this time. I qualify, because I am 40 years old.
-I had been trying to get pregnant for several years. I have had 2 failed IUIs and a polyp removed from my uterus.
-DH's count is good. He is 41.
-I will keep you posted on my results!
-I am open to answer any questions on IUIs or IVF. I think I could teach a class on both. Lol!

Saks, iv not had any tests or anything done, my doctor refuses any testing as I'm being treated for depression, anxiety and agoraphobia so until they improve I'm being refused any help regarding having another child... My husband had all the relevant testing though which showed a low sperm count and a variocele. So at present we just have to try the natural way :(

Good morning!!

We've been trying for 2.5 years. The first year we tried on our own but ended up finding during my hsg that my tubes were clogged, they did clear both of them during the procedure, we tried for another 6 months on our own when nothing happened I pushed for further testing as I was sure I wasn't o-ing and had no ewcm or any cm for that matter, bw confirmed I wasnt o-Ing so we tried multiple rounds of clomid which didn't help much then switched to femara and did multiple rounds and I still wasn't getting o-ing or if I was my ob said it wasn't a mature enough egg. He wanted us to start the iui steps with a specialist but we instead have just entered our 2nd cycle trying natural/herbal supplements, my first cycle I for the first time produced ewcm at the time of o!!!!! Hopefully it's a new trend each cycle, we go back the 9th to see what our next steps are. I've so far taken a full bottle of hypothalmapath and am now taking iodine. If we give this a good shot and it doesn't work we will continue on to the iui.

Potatoesandwaffles here! :) I think I'm on 15ish cycles of TTC. I won't be posting all the time, as I am just taking it easy and sky rocketed libido around O take care of things, hopefully. Right now I think I'm in the second half of the TWW but I purposefully not counting. Just wanted to mark your thread so I can't keep up with ya'll. :)
20 years old, DH 20 as well. Married Oct, 2013 and have been TTC number 1 since then!

Hello all of you!
I wish we were meeting on the Pregnancy boards together instead:( But with any luck and a whole lot of BD and scientific intervention we will all get there eventually!

Ckatta14- tell me more about hypothalmapath....is that a natural remedy? I feel like I've tried every natural herb/supplement out there already! I also went down the Clomid and Femara route and tried IUI's with both drugs:( Uggh.

Cb1988- is your DH going to have the varicole fixed? I know other women on here with DH's with the same problem and after the operation they were good to go:) After 7 years you deserve that BFP!!!

Hi all!
LauraK369 here! I've been an avid reader the past year but now I'd like to actively participate in the community ;)
- TTC around 2 years... the start date is a little fuzzy because I got off BCP in December 2012 and AF didn't come back for like 7 months :S But since I wanted to get pregnant then, I'm counting it as my start date.
- Irregular cycles and issues with not ovulating. I suspect PCOS but I havent been diagnosed. Tried 5 cycles of Clomid with only 2 (weak) O's.
- Just got dh's SA results back - Count and Volume were low while the rest of the results were normal. I'm choosing to think that the count was low because the volume sample they had was so low. (DH's nerves got the best of him I think) Going to repeat the test soon. DH had testicular torsion as a kid so we're hoping it hasnt permanently damaged anything. DH also has low libido so that just throws another wrench into the TTC gears.
- HSG will be scheduled after 2nd SA results
- Hopefully will be going to an RE soon. I am getting sick of my OB/GYN clinic and their incompetence. Plus they are clueless to infertility there.

I don't really know what we'll do after both our tests. DH is so zen about it all... he says he's okay either way, having a baby or not having a baby. To me, not having a baby is not an option. At this point I'm willing to do IUI if we qualify bases on DH's 2nd SA. If IVF is the only option, we'll have to think it over a little more.

Currently I'm on my first cycle off the Clomid. It's CD23 and I haven't gotten a positive OPK so I'm thinking it's not going to happen. :(

Hi ladies!
I'm a blog reader and occasional commenter- but I never really blogged, just stayed on the forum side. Would love to join in!
Awaiting AF over the weekend to start cycle 23 of TTC. We were told last February that I was weakly ovulating and tried a couple medicated cycles, which were BFN. I've had two losses that were natural BFPs, and my progesterone has been normal, so now my RE just says we are sub-fertile. We are trending P levels to determine exactly if I do or so not have a good O. New deductible started yesterday (woo!) so DH and I will have chromosome testing and extra labs to determine if something caused our MCs.
I've had most testing done- HSG, hysteroscope- just a few tubes more and all our infertility testing will be complete!
Me: 30 poor ovulation (DD-9)
DH: 32 all good
TTC since April 2013
02/14 BFP Lost 7w5d
05/14 IUI #1 BFN
07/14 IUI #2 BFN
11/14 BFP Lost 5w0d
05/15 IUI #3 BFP- 13dpo beta @148, 15dpo @ 340, 17dpo @ 677
GGB triplets due January 2016!

Orangecat, I wish we were all meeting on pregnancy forums too but we will all get there :)
In response about my Hubby's variocele he cannot have it corrected as he has a blood clot in his groin that they fear would dislodge if they operate around that area and that would be certain death they said so really we just have to keep going as we are

Orangecat its wonderful you started a long term ttc forum of all the gals we are familiar with and hope to have new ones. As some may know I'm 29yrs pcos but dh mild swimmer issues everyrhing good except morphology and on TTC 6th year for our first. I've never seen a bfp so I cant relate there either but I understand the emotional and mental toll it takes. Were just about to pursue true medical Intervention now that we are financially able and found the right RE Dr. I found this support site exactly 1 yr and 1 week ago ago and its the only thing keeping me sane. I don't feel as alone and alienated as much anymore. Everyone's so knowledgeable and truly deserves their bfps!!! Cheers to happy healthy bumps in 2015!!

Curently CD 19: positive opk 16 waiting for 3rd day temp spike and cross hair on FF. Had lowest temp on cd 17-96.7 then CD 18 and CD 19 97.5 so I'm thinking I Od I hope >_<

Hey everyone!

A little about me: 28 years old Dh is also 28, we've been TTC since October 2013. Last cycle on BC was September 2013. Took a while before I started getting my normal af. First few cycles of trying we were way off, knew nothing about my cycles and when were the optimal days. By about January-February that's when I started reading more into it and remembered all that we learned in school lol. I've tried charting my bbt and cm, I've used opks to pinpoint ovulation, drank fertilitea and even used preseed but have yet to ever see a Bfp.
In my May 2014 after much pleading on my part my OBGYN finally gave us a write up for an SA for dh. He wanted to try a few more times on our own so I gave in. Fast forward to end of November I get my full blood work up done, all hormones are normal and US shows my ovaries and uterus are fine. Dh attempted to do his SA but they refused the sample as it overpasses the time limit by like 5-10 minutes.
That brings us to present day! Dh is going to try to do the SA again, found another clinic close to him so time won't be an issue. Hopefully he can drop it off sometime this week, so I'll update you with those results soon, and hopefully we can finally get some answers!
