Just a small morning update. I got my cross hairs on FF! Ovulated cd17 on NYE I'm 3dpo so I can join some of you in the ttw this cycle. Not gonna talk ears off...or eyes...or whichever off in here but I'm so excited and anxious! Haven't been able to pinpoint O with temp and opk. Was either or. Faith has been restored in FF. When I used her 2 yrs agoni startednto wonder. I will go in 1/10 to check progesterone see if its gone up or anything and if I had a good egg pop out.

I do have a question. I have some fertility balance progesterone cream that I've had since summer 2013. The consistency feels different from before it's now watery and squeaky but is it safe to use?? Should I start using it? Last time ovulation Was confirmed was only 5.72 CD 24 in 2010 and 2.8 on cd 24 in august..didn't ovulate...but it was also too early to test cause I ovulate late....I feel like I need progesterone boost but scared to use it. Thank ladies for listening

Good day ladies
I am thrilled with the group we have going! Thank you for joining me.

Laura-fx the second SA works for you. I found that the times I helped my DH with his samples his numbers were better :omg: and he didn't feel as pressured. Lol.

mt2sea- if it is natural progesterone it likely wouldn't hurt. I have a half empty container of natural progesterone cream I pulled out of the drawer and started at 6dpo this cycle because my BBS were tender which doesn't always happen..

pat-fas- good to see you over here. FX you get good SA results! What a pain that the first one was refused. Your poor DH. It is good to get the testing out ov the way and formulate a plan going forward.

Kelley-so sorry for your losses. I know how hard it is after trying for so long. On the plus side it is great that you can move forward with testing and hopefully prvent it from happening again. My RE was not very supportive after our loss. Sadly the way our canadian healthcare system is you get what you get. Even getting to see a specialist involves a referral process and long long wait lists...

It seems that most of us are in the first 2ww of 2015. Wouldn't it be amazing if it were also our last! :yay: :yay:

:-D it would be awesome. About SA and helping DH I 100% second that one. We now collect either in a hotel if weve travel to our out of town RE, mini vacation or at home if we collect local. I get more nervous than him in that tiny room we had with the old tube tv and 90s adult video. Not to mention people were walking and tslking litterally right at our door. That was a crappy clinic. My dr now and my very first obe were better but i still couldnt do it. Ugh aweful! We brought our pho for our own tast in adult stuff but got no signal lol so the fist collection of 20814dpo was horrendous. But since then weve chose to just take them the sample and they've e mprove. Studies shown the more aroused and relax he is you may get better quality and numbers. I sometimes thunk that goes for our cm as well

Mt2sea- I get so confused when it comes to progesterone. My first level I had checked was a 5- and our RE said I had weak ovulation- so the eggs are no good. I can't see that supplementing progesterone in the luteal phase would help? Somehow my body has magically repaired itself and my P levels are normal. I noticed in my charting prior to normalizing I had a VERY slow rise after O, but now I have a sharp rise of at least 0.4+ overnight. With medicated cycles my P levels made it up to 70.
*edited to add- the cycle my P was 5 I did get a BFP but ended as blighted ovum- not sure but unlikely progesterone contributed as when I had my first beta my progesterone had gone up to 12*
Orangecat- I'm not familiar with Canadian healthcare- is it similar to the UK? I'm in the US and I picked a fertility clinic, called and they offered and appointment the next week. The downside is the cost is ridiculous as my insurance does not cover anything except to find out why we are infertile.

Good luck to other ladies with SA results!

@kelly21 youths was me in 20810 when no had my first ever progesterone checkedninwas temping and ninja awesome temps my base line was 97.3-97.9 as soon as I ovulated I went straight to 97.9-98.1 for 15-18 days then the day of af it went down. When Ingo tested didn't tempbthat month I was too stressed out went on cd 24 and progesterone was 5.72....very very weak ovulatiin :-( never had a positive test ever but im pretty sure out of 10 yrs I can recall at least 3 x I had to have been pregnant and probably lost them. Fur its Bette not to know. Tried trounce started temping again and they are rocky butbhis very clear ovulation date. I went from 98.6 to 97.4 and been hovering round there fingers crossed its a bit better. Back in august my Novel was even wo4se on cd 24 at 2.8 did t ovulate...but I tend to O at cd 17-19 so may have been early?

Kelley- I am not familiar with the UK system but in Canada everything (in my province anyway) is government controlled. We don't have the option of choosing a specialist. You see your family MD who then refers you to an OB GYN (minimum 6 month wait) once you see an OB GYN (not one you chose yourself) you get the fertility testing done. She then refers you to an RE (another 4-6 month wait) then you formulate a plan. They book all of you US and blood work. The plus side is all of the testing, ultrasounds, HSG, SA is all covered in our healthcare and costs me nothing. The negative of course is the long wait lists and not being able to pick who you want to see. Nothing to treat infertility is covered except the ultrasounds. IUI costs $350 plus meds. IVF is $8000-$10000 plus meds. Our province is working to get IVF covered but it is a long way off. The advocates for it are hoping it would lessen the burden on our healthcare system as it would decrease multiples as they would only allow single embryo transfers. By the time it is covered I will be well past child bearing age.

Orangecat: that last SA was horrendous you should have seen me in the reception area of a private clinic trying to be as discreet as possible while holding a sample of my husbands stuff, and meanwhile the receptionist and her coworker are talking so loudly on how they can't accept five day hold, and that its overlapped the time limit. Oh did I forget that there were other clients in the waiting area that could hear everyone. I was so mortified, never going back there again!

I'm also from Canada, and in my province IVF from my knowledge is covered. There may be a small amount to pay on our part but for the most part the government pays. I found my OBGYN on my own, she was about the only person who was taking new clients! She is the one referring us for all the testing, which I'm having done at a private clinic. It's great because all the tests can get done quickly and my husbands work insurance covers most of it up until now.

Pat- I quit temping quite awhile ago. Too much stress. And I tend to wake multiple times a night making accurate readings impossible. I gave uo temping once I confirmed O a few cycles in a row. Besides no amount of temping will get me pregnant:)

I use opks and CM as my indicators. I am 9dpo. But my LP is only 12 days long on a good month. So my wait will be over Wed either way!

How many cycles of IVF are covered? I am thinking of looking into grants or crowd funding if we end up down that route. It's funny how perceptions change. 2 years ago I was confident that we would not go down the treatment route no matter what and would be okay without children if it didn't happen naturally...

I'm not sure about how many ivf treatments are covered as I never really needed to look into it up until now. And yes perceptions do change during this whole process. Before starting I had a feeling it would take us longer than most don't ask me why. But I never would have thought this long. I remember saying to myself last year "ok by the summer I'll definitely be pregnant by then" and surprise surprise it still hasn't happened.
I saw you guys have tried to do IUI and were successful with one cycle. We're they able to tell you what caused you to miscarry? I read women writing about low progesterone. And also how baby aspirin helps. I think it would be really hard for me to say well just have a life without kids. I think I would even consider adoption if it ever got to that point!
Let us know what happens on wednesday!

Hi Pat
We actually got pregnant on our own the cycle before out first IUI. Neither of our IUI's worked. I keep reminding myself we did it once ourselves and will do it again! We were told it was likely chromosal and our bean was doomed from conception. Sometimes I try and convince myself it happened so we wouldn't lose hope it just wasnt our time yet:)

And right on schedule I am out:(

Oh well. Right? I guess I will dye my roots this weekend, have a glass of gin and sit for a very long time in a really hot bath!

How's everyone else doing? Any good news?

I am going to try a couple of letrazole cycles with ultrasounds and timed intercourse. This sitting around and hoping for a BFP isn't working and I need to do something while we contemplate our next round of attack...

Hello all-
Orangecat- I love that- attack plan!
AF was sadly two days late and made my hopes rise slightly. Bb soreness and creamy Cm contributed to hopes too. But instead I had a 15 day LP this time instead of my typical 13 and The witch arrived 16dpo.
I think of plans but really all planning hinges on the labs I will do CD 21. At this point I am feeling a bit down. I gave birth before at age 20. Now there is no way I will have another child before 30. 10 YEARS later! I'm not saying 30 is old, but I never wanted my children this far apart. I have mentioned to DH about doing a 3rd IUI when we get back from vacation in March. He didn't seem too thrilled about that. IUI cycles are nearly 2k for us and we haven't had luck so it seems like such a waste.
Me: 30 poor ovulation (DD-9)
