Welcome back to the two week wait Orangecat! Ehh.. I'm 8dpo now and I give up symptom spotting. Every month has a new symptom to obsess over and I'm done with that!
Sounds like an IVF jump might be a good idea Vanessa- but then again, what if the next IUI worked? It's such a risk all ways!
I am enjoying crocheting! I learned by YouTube. My dd received a kids crochet set for Christmas and needed me to show her how to do it, and I was clueless! I'm definitely a beginner, and lots of patterns are way too hard right now.
Progesterone was checked today and was a measly 4. I really do NOT understand how my P can be 24 with a chemical, 9 the following cycle, and come all the way down to a pathetic 4, the lowest it's ever been.
Looks like we will do another medicated cycle late March.

Kelley when are you going to test? Or are you past the POAS addiction:)?
Are you going to do another IUI? That is strange about your P. I am having mine done next Monday. I never ask about the number but I will this time. They usually just tell me that I ovulated when they call with the result.
What med's are you thinking of doing? Is your LP short?
Mine has never lasted longer than 12 days except my MC cycle. The doctors claim that is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about....
On my fertility clinic's website they claim that if IUI is going to work it typically works within the first 3 attempts...but then you hear about people's success with IUI #5 or higher! Why oh why do we have to be infertile?....

I don't plan on testing. Unless I'm late! My LP is 13-15 days, I don't spot or have strong AF symptoms until she shows.
As long as our chromosomes are okay we will do another iUi late march. I take Femara 7.5mg CD 3-7 and a dose of menopur cD 10. Follie check next day and the ovidrel trigger. DHs count has been 50 and 40 mil on previous IUIs with 90% motility.
If that doesn't work I really don't know where we go from there. I agree This infertility thing is a load of BS!

Anyone with an update? Are you still all checking this thread? :)

I'm currently 4DPO and swear I'm pregnant! (Some months I swear I am more than others!) Or maybe I am just wishing so hard to be....our BD was perfectly timed and we did more than normal, I had a nice ripe Femara follicle, Nice strong OPK that timed out perfectly with my follicle tracking US, a nice healthy lining for the bean to stick into....what else can we possibly do?? I am meditating daily and sending positive vibes to my uterus and envisioning being pregnant! Please, please, please universe let this my turn!

Just need to write it out. Frustrated. Angry. Jealous. Why can't I get pregnant? I am sick of it all. 6 dpo. Halfway done this wait. All I want to do is cry and scream and feel normal again. Sick of pretending. Hating the way I feel.

I think this is turning into a zombie thread :(

Orange I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so down and out. Hope you are feeling better now! Almost done with the TWW- are you havingn any symptoms?

I had a call from the RE office saying my vitamin D level is low and I have to start supplements. From there I googled quite a bit and found out D deficiency can cause ovulation failure and miscarriage. I'm hoping perhaps this simple fix is my problem, but I won't know until all the labs result and our review in 2 weeks. I am not sure if my level is low enough to be the issue- it was 24 and normal is 30-80 from what the nurse told me. She said the RE likes it to be mid 30's and up.
We will be preventing for feb as I'd like to cut loose on our spring break vacation. I'm also going to tan a few times before we go and surely that will help my levels too :)

Hi ladies. Sorry i haven't posted on here recently. I seem to have had a login glitch on my pc that i couldn't rectify, but oddly i can get in using my phone :?

How are you going today Orangecat. It sounds like you've been finding things pretty rough. I'm sorry. I think we all understand those emotions and boy doesn't it suck when they all hit at once! This ttc can really suck the life out of us. I hope you're feeling better now.

Vanjust - thank you. I would consider iui and ivf but dh is anti anything other that naturale. Makes it a big challenge that's for sure. The Dr's have also given me bad success rates for both given my age. Honestly though, it seems to depend on which Dr i talk to and it's not something i've explored in detail knowing it's not an option for us. How are you going?

Kelley - i have a friend who had a couple of consecutive miscarriages (age 39) and she went through a natural fertility clinic where they found she was vit D deficient. She took supplement as well as progesterone and she now has a healthy 10mth old. Vit D deficiency is something i was checked for too so it can definitely effect things. I hope this will the the simple fix you need.

I am currently 11dpo and am feeling pretty calm. I don't have any expectations and i have little hope this cycle. I know it sounds pessimistic and it kind of is but it helps protect me from the long fall. After falling hard last cycle, i really don't want a repeat of that if i can help it.

I am going to the clinic my friend went to but it's public health so the wheels turn slowly. They've done a few preliminary tests but before they an offer me anything else i have do a charting course through them ($150). I explained that i'm proficient in charting having done it FOREVER now...but no, they have to show me their way. Arggghhhh makes me want to scream. This process will take up 2mths of ttc. They frustrate the bejezzus out of me as they just don't get my frustration at delaying things. I'm 40 for goodness sake !!!!! BREATHE......i must breathe :/

Anyhow.....i hope you're all hanging in there. Have a nice day ladies. :)

I could join you, if you like :) I also am dealing with 2% morphology but I only started TTC journey some months ago. 12-13DPO and I just saw a very very faint spot on tp. Feeling quite low as this means AF would be arriving soon.

How are you doing?

Hi Hopeful
Did AF arrive?
Mine did. Currently CD 2. I started letrazole this morning for IUI #3 in a few weeks. I'm going for acupuncture this afternoon. Is your DH taking any supplements? Mine is on zinc and folic acid. He hasaid had numerous SA over the last 3.5 years and this latest one is the first time we were told he had low morphology so I'm hoping it was a one time thing! Every SA he has had has been very different and varies greatly in count and motility. So sperm can change drastically month to month.

Hi orangecat! I come here once in awhile to check and see if any of my fellow LTTTCers have had any success. I have been fortunate enough to have a beautiful 8 month old baby girl now. I had a failed IUI and switched insurances so I could get IVF coverage (my boss had to do a little manipulating). That kicked in February of 2015. Next up was prepping for IVF, but I wanted to wait until after a trip to Jamaica that I already had scheduled for March. Wouldn't you know, I actually got pregnant on that trip...naturally! It was truly a miracle that I cannot explain. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw two lines :omg: My daughter Arabella was born December 19, 2015. :hb:

My DH was diagnosed with low morph as well. When we did the IUI we barely had enough "good" sperm to go through with it. His last SA was normal...so strange (but good). I really think it can vary greatly. I tried acupuncture as well when I had my IUI but no luck. Everyone kept telling me to relax it will happen, blah, blah, but in all reality it did. I hope you have success with IUI #3. Will you consider IVF if this doesn't work?

Thanks for checking in and I wish you all the best. I will check back in so I can see how you are making out :)

Hi Vanessa
Congrats on your Lil one!
Honestly in regards to IVF I just don't know if it's in our cards...
DH is pretty against it. He works as a developmental worker for special needs children and a handful of the kids he cares for are IVF babies. So warranted or not he has great fears that if we go that far and need all of the medical intervention we will have a child with a disability. I haven't done any research into this and have no clue if IVF contributed in any way to these children's challenges...
Also the $$ thing is a huge one. The closest clinic that offers IVF is a province over and 8 hours by car and $12,000+....
Our new doctor (walking distance) is willing to do 6 IUIS before giving up on us and our out of pocket cost is just $90/try plus trigger shot cost. We have to try and hope the working side grows some good follicles!

I totally understand the cost thing. We could only consider IVF if my insurance covered it. That's why we had to pull some strings to get different coverage.
I can see why your husband has real fears. It must be tough when you see that all the time. I don't know much about the statistics either.
I'm glad you can try more IUI's though and hope you are successful really soon!
