TTC #2 - September 2016 Hopefuls

Postby Sandralin » Sun Dec 27, 2015 7:28 pm

Hello there!

DH and I are trying for #2. I used a due date calculator which said if I conceived this month, I'm looking at the end of September. Anyone close to that and wanna walk this journey together?

Yayy! Just checked and if we conceive this month our EDD would be september 27th. I was 8 days late with my first and actually I think it would be really cool to end up with an october baby. Lots of oct birthdays in my family, but none in early october. It would be nice to dream of not going past my due date... but I'm not holding my breath lol.

Currently CD 6, hoping to O around january 5-7.

CD 3 here and just started a higher dose of clomid. Staying hopeful, but trying to just go with the flow also. It's easy to get obsessive with this TTC stuff! If it doesn't happen this cycle, I may take a break. I'm tired of all the medication!

If we conceive this cycle our EDD: October 1st!

May I join? I'm still in the TWW and hoping not to test until January 9ish. I would be due mid-September. Tried to be more relaxed this month, and it was actually working until I got at least five super-positive OPKs in a row. May have missed the window if O was later than I thought... FX for us all!

Welcome ladies!

Carrot and I went through the TWW last month together with no BFP but here we are again full of hope for the new year!

I am CD 5 and hope to start OPKs on day 10. Trying not to obsess and stress this month. I don't temp because otherwise, I would have something else to stress about.

Do you ladies have kids already?

Welcome Flybutter and Peaks!

I hear you all on getting obsessive. When I started temping again I was having trouble sleeping because I didn't want to forget to temp (at least that's what I'm assuming) I started waking up at 3, then 4, then 5.... which of course is awful for temping anyway! I thought since this is our second time around that I would feel much more relaxed (and I do to a certain extent) but I couldn't believe I was already losing sleep over ttc!!! So ridiculous. Luckily I've calmed down a bit and my sleep has gone back to normal and temping has just become part of my morning routine now.

I spent a good chunk of time yesterday looking up healthy foods for early pregnancy and for ttc and I've sort of tried to make myself a "TTC diet" of sorts haha. I got my bfp last after cleaning up my diet and trying to focus on getting healthier so I figure it's a win win situation to try that again, especially after all the holiday treats!

That's awesome about the diet Carrot. We can all use that after the holidays, and that's a great way to boost TTC chances in a healthy way.

I'm trying to stay calm and relaxed this time around. I thought of getting the cheap OPKs to use in addition to the clear blue advanced OPKs to see my peak, but then I thought, what's the point cuz DH and I can't really BD until after DD goes to bed. So that may stress me out more. It may be worth it for information purposes, but I haven't decided yet. Carrot- do you use Wondfos? I'm not familiar with the cheap OPKs.

If we conceive this month, DD will be almost exactly 3, as her bday is Oct 4th. May be perfect!

Hey! I don't have any experience with wondfos. The only OPKs I've tried were the up and up Target brand. I thought they were ok, but I never saw a surge so I was second guessing if I should have gotten cheapies and tested twice a day. I think if it doesn't happen for a couple more months I'll probably try some wondfo OPKs so I can test more than once a day, but right now I'm just worried that it would stress me out more than help. But, on the other hand, I always wonder if I should be doing more and trying harder. I never know! Last time relaxing seemed to be what helped since we were one of those cliche couples that got pregnant when we stopped trying lol, but then again, that could have just been a complete coincidence! Sorry for the rambling, I've been into the wine lol.

Hi Ladies,
I was 3 days late when AF decided she would be my Christmas gift this yr. Ugh...so I'm on CD5. Wishing you all Sticky Beans & Baby Dust! If I say anything more, it's extremely likely to be negative, so I'll wrap it up by saying Good Luck & Many Blessings for The New Year!!!

Welcome BeenBlessedTwice! Sorry AF showed up for you on xmas but glad you're joining us. How long have you been ttc? Do you have other babes?

Things have been going pretty well over here. The inlaws are still in town, but they are headed out tomorrow morning. On the one hand I love having them here because they love playing with DD and let me sleep-in in the morning ( :yay: ), but on the other... I am so ready to have my normal routine back! We haven't even considered BDing with everything going on being exhausted from hosting. Luckily my fertile window isn't for at least another week so we'll have lots of down time before then. How is everyone doing? Any exciting new years plans?

Ha Carrot! Just as I posted, I saw your new post. Haha.

Glad you will have some downtime before starting the BDing. Do you have any New Years plans?

We do not usually do much for New Years. I can't remember the last time I stayed up till midnight. Haha! DH is supposed to be off this weekend (fx!) so it will be nice to actually spend time together.

BD starts next week for us. EOD until that solid smiley! Hope we get a BFP!

Can I join?? I'm TTC #2 after a m/c in August and October followed by a MTHFR diagnosis. Hoping for a miracle baby this cycle. I'm 2 or 3dpo with a 14 day luteal phase :)

Welcome Hoop! So sorry for your loss. It will be nice to have someone who is a little farther a long in their cycle since most of us are still waiting on O! Are you a POAS addict or do you tend to wait for AF?

No crazy new year's plans here. I think we may get together with some friends just to stay up and watch the ball drop. We managed to stay up last year but it was just because DD was a newborn and she was up already anyway haha.

Has anyone tried the SMEP? I think we might try a modified version without the OPKs just because I'm pretty sure I have a good idea when I ovulate. We don't usually do really well with scheduled BDing, but I'm thinking maybe we could handle EOD and then the 3 days in a row. I'm just kind of afraid of burning out before we actually get to the 3 days in a row part lol.
