Sandra that is awesome that you will be able to be at home!

I work from home for Apple technical support and I can't go back to working at an actual location now lol.

Kat, love your positive attitude. Can't wait to hear your update. I feel like things will be just fine. Have you had any more spotting?

Nope, no spotting since Sunday! And with the increase in nausea I'm assuming my hcg is rising. Still some cramping on and off but it's been really light and I remember that from last time. Come on little bean, grow!!!

Aww Kat, you are so right not to worry about anything until you see the OB. Urgent care doctors are used to these massive crises, and not all cases are so dramatic. I'm sure the OB will make a follow up for you after this appt. That's so reassuring about the measuring size early on. It's probably more of a major concern later on in pregnancy due to the baby not getting enough nutrients. I'm praying for your appt tomorrow! I hope you get all the reassurance you need and I hope you can hear the heartbeat!

I am very excited to stay home. It truly is my hearts desire. It'll be tighter with finances but we will make it. I also have a very supportive family who, although they are not well off, are very generous with what they do have if the need arises.

I know it's different for everyone but since I haven't used OPKs for a while, this guessing my O time is driving me nuts. Did you ladies find that the EWCM would suddenly stop and THEN you ovulated? And if so, how long after it stopped? I had tons of EWCM yesterday (CD17), and we managed to BD last night. But then all night and this morning I have virtually no CM. Maybe we had good timing? As always, I'm hesitantly hopeful as I don't wanna get my hopes up too high. At least this time, a week after my period is due we see the endo. So that's good!

Soooooo I'm sure you guys are really tired of my roller coaster of emotions by now.. and I know I just need to hold out for my OB follow up (tomorrow).. but I keep searching for anything reassuring. One of the things noted in my report was that the gestational sac was "irregularly shaped." I was hoping to find positive outcomes on this but unfortunately it looks like having an irregularly shaped gestational sac is a common sign of an impending miscarriage. It's not certain, but from what I'm seeing most OB's treat this an an impending miscarriage and in a minority of cases things turn out fine. I want to stay optimistic, but I also want to be realistic and prepared for the worst if that's where I'm heading. I'm not really stressing since I know there's nothing I can do but wait. I just feel so dang sad! I just want to know one way or the other so I can process and move on.

Girl, please vent allll you want. We are here for you! I think for your sanitys sake you need to stop googling, hehe! I know it's hard NOT to worry about everything, especially being so early on, but don't worry. The OB will give you a better idea of what's going on. Praying for you!

Sandra, EWCM for me would start a few days before O (according to temps and opk) and the day before O there was a ridiculous amount and then the day after O there was practically no CM at all! I think you may have just timed it well! XD

Kat, I know I would be googling like a mad woman myself but I think that you should stop and try to relax and take heart that at least you aren't bleeding. I have never heard about irregular shaped GS and miscarriage but I plan on reading about it tonight after work because now I am curious. I will write more then.

Kat, Just to give you more hope, irregular is a lot better than hearing them tell you elongated! Reading through these forums I am seeing a lot of women say that they went on to have a healthy pregnancy after being told the GS was irregular, while the outcome for elongated does not seem as positive. Also, search for irregular gestational sac in Google Images and you will see some of these are such small irregularities they seem pretty insignificant so I am hoping yours is only very slightly misshaped. It could also just be that it is too early and depending on your uterus shape/tilt it could have just been the way it appeared with a trans scan. You could go back for your next scan and see a perfectly round GS.

I seriously can't thank you ladies enough. I was just an emotional wreck this morning. I talked to DH about all my concerns and his response was pretty much the same: STOP GOOGLING lol. On the one hand, it hasn't made me feel any better really, but on the other hand, I feel a little bit more prepared for my appointment tomorrow and I have a list of questions ready. Since I've never met this doctor before and appts can tend to feel rushed I wanted to make sure I was ready to get the information I need and not leave feeling confused or more worried.

Fly, thank you for the info you found on ges sacs! I've literally come across the whole spectrum of results. I've seen sites that suggest an "irregular" shape basically dooms you for miscarriage and I've seen sites that say shape of the sac has almost no relationship to pregnancy outcomes. It's crazy. From what I noticed on the screen, mine was just more oval shaped which seems to possibly be better than "kidney" or "banana" shaped. My uterus is tilted too, so hopefully that is a non-threatening factor. Ugh, I'm literally counting down the hours until I get some actual, relevant information.

I'm sorry I've been so focused on all of this and haven't been a good friend you ladies the past few days!
Fly, isn't your private scan soon?? I'm so excited for you and can't wait to see the pics!

Sandy, I did have a few cycles where my temp indicated that I O'd a day or two after my EWCM stopped. It always confused the mess out of me. From what I've read it's not terribly uncommon to ovulate after your EWCM stops, but it is frustrating!

Just a quick reply as I am at work (3 days and counting.....) but Kat, I am SO glad you are feeling more prepared and ready for your appointment. Google can be our friend, but it can also drive us MAD with worry. I'm really happy that you have an appt today and can't wait to hear all about it.
Fly, how are you feeling now that you are in your 2nd trimester? Any guesses on gender?

I've passed the "fertile window" so the wait begins... Sigh.

Hey ladies, it's been quite some time. Just reading through and seeing some ladies are preggo. Congrats and I pray you have beautiful healthy babies!

For those still TTC, my fingers are crossed your babies come soon!!

Carrot- I was reading about your cyst. I have a dermoid cyst too that they found right before I got pregnant. At my last scan at 18.5 weeks, it had more than doubled and was 2.5 by 2.5 cm. I'm sure it has continued to grow in the last 3 months, but who knows how much! My plan is to schedule a C-section and have it removed at the same time as delivery (as long as the arteries aren't too big and risk bleeding too much). I had a C-section with my daughter too and feel it is the safest option for me this time too. I'm definitely nervous about the possibility of losing my ovary too, but I try not to focus on that. I pray yours is an easy fix and you get to keep your good ovary!

I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow. I can't even believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. Our little man will be here in 9 short weeks! Prayers to all of you ladies!!

Hey everyone!
So my appointment today went really well! I really liked my new OB, he was very friendly and reassuring, but not in a dismissive way. He ordered another hcg draw while I was there and scheduled a repeat scan for early next week. I should get the hcg results tomorrow sometime. I asked him about the "irregular" gestational sac and he said he actually thought it looked pretty normal, so that was very comforting. He didn't seem concerned about the cyst. He said that he rarely sees them grow during pregnancy, but that he planned to monitor it throughout and was confident that when it was reved he'd be able to save enough healthy ovary tissue that I'd still be fertile. We aren't set on having a third or not, but I would be heartbroken to know it wasn't an option so that was also really great to hear. Overall I feel a lot better, still nervous, but more along the lines of normal first trimester miscarriage fears as opposed to impending miscarriage fears. Really hoping/praying/crossing fingers for a good hcg result tomorrow.

Ace - good to hear from you! So interesting that your cyst has grown, but I'm glad to hear you have a good plan for removal. Hopefully removal will go smoothly for you! I think the only reason I lost mine was because the cyst was discovered so late (due to crappy doctors ignoring my complaints), by the time it was removed it was over 9 cm and bigger than the actual ovary itself. my current one measured around 5x3 cm so I hope it doesn't keep growing while I'm pregnant, yikes!

Kat, I am SO happy for you that you found a great OB and had some major reassurance! It sounds like he's pretty confident that everything is ok so far. Praise God!! So you and Fly will have scans around the same time next week? How cool! Also, that's great about the cyst. Now they can just monitor it and take it from there. Yay for everything working out. Now you can relax and enjoy your weekend!

Just a quick check in... my hcg only rose about 25% over 4 days... so not anywhere close to doubling. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but it was at around 31,000 on Sunday and yesterday's draw came back at around 39,000. I haven't heard back from the actual OB yet but I can't really see a way that this is going to turn out well.

Kat, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know you were hoping for good numbers. It's Friday evening and your OB still hasn't called you? So you have to wait all weekend to speak to someone? That's not right. Maybe the other ladies have info they can give. I'm still praying for you! I hope you can speak to someone soon. It's not right to have you be in a panic all weekend!

Kat, once hcg reaches 6000 it can take up to 96 hours to double. I would not get worked up!

Sandra, I have felt like I am having a boy from day one although I have no clue why lol. I feel pretty good. To be honest though, every time I have been pregnant I never have much in the way of symptoms and that's pretty much the case this time as well. I had headaches and a few days of light nausea bit otherwise it has been smooth sailing. Monday is almost here! XD I will update you guys as soon as I get home. I am so nervous!

Sandra, how many DPO? I forget if you say if you track anything or not?

Ace, hi I don't know you but congrats on your pregnancy! Hope you are doing well, not long to go now! XD
