I have already tapped into my retirement fund twice for fertility treatments. I figured what's the use of having money for retirement if i am not living the life i want (with a child)?!

so why did your dr allow you to do 7 cycles? Why didn't he try a different medication for you if it wasn't helping you ovulate? I have found my ovidrel for 89.00 through freedom fertility online pharmacy they have alot of scripts for cheaper :-)

I started out with one round of clomid with the ob/gyn. Then i went to the RE and he did a surgery. I would have never been able to ovulate without the surgery (see signature below). So the first round for him (2nd total) he kept me on 50mg to see what would happen since I had absolutely no monitoring the first time. And then i also did not start out on trigger until maybe the 3rd or 4th round on Clomid. He wanted me too, i just didnt. I use Barron pharmacy in Ohio for my HCG trigger shot and the injectable medication I either buy leftovers from ppl or I order it from England. This cycle I was able to buy expired Menopur for $11 a vial, instead of the $80 it costs in the United States. You can get it from England for $23 a vial. Old song-"you gotta shop around"!

Oh, and I have ovulated several times on injectables. I just didnt respond well enough to the clomid, until he put me on the highest dose. But then it was affecting my vision. I told them i would gladly give up my vision and they said no lol.

Is it the same thing as clomid, or does it do more then clomid?

Haha well your vision is kind of important haha, but I've been on clomid 50 mg and injection for 3 cycles I get like 1-2 eggs each time and they are around 16-18 so I think my body reacts well to it its just not connecting. I hope magically when I go get my bloodwork it comes up positive cause all these urine tests are saying negative. And I swear I'm not imagining my boobs hurting lol

Injectables do way more than clomid. They simulate all of the hormones needed to make ovulation occur. I didn't know this until recently but it's actually called "super ovulation" lol. I normally have so many follicles it's crazy. My tummy is STILL very swollen this cycle on CD 25. I was cramping last night a little so I am feeling pretty negative. I'm trying to keep it positive, but it's rough! I really hope we both get positives!

Well with all those mature follicles i can only imagine how swollen you are. Yeah they give me clomid and injectables they have since the beginning so i've never had a cycle since going to the RE without an injectable. I think if this cycle doesn't work i'll try one cycle on the new meds and then we will take a month off and try natrually maybe magically my body will just do it. i went in about an hour ago to get my blood work done so i should find out if i am within a few hours, i am the level is only at like 7-19 lol i took a urine test yesterday and it came up negative so.

No, but I was just thinking....I think if anyone would be prone to having a "period" while pregnant it would be someone with multiple follicle production, dont you? Because think about it, AF is where we are shedding not only extra uterine lining, but unfertilized eggs too. If i have several eggs, it makes sense that I would bleed no matter what. I'm going to keep taking my progesterone until I can get home today and test.
