Crumpet - Yeah, I'm trying to keep as calm as I can about TTC this go-around. DH and I are both very stressed right now, so any headaches we can avoid, we should. I hope you're right about the weight loss. It seems that every time I start to make some progress, I backslide. Logically, I know weight loss is not linear and even where you are in your cycle can dictate things like water retention and therefore mess with the numbers on the scale, but it's hard to remember that when I see the number go up again.

On the husband front, my DH behaves exactly the same way when he's stressed out. He was especially like that when he got his new job. It's possible that he's just going through so many life changes right now that it's harder for him to think/talk about another? That would be my guess as to why he's not prioritizing insurance and so forth. Sit down with him when you get a chance and have a heart-to-heart to find out how he's feeling and what's going on in his head.

DarkAries - My body just changed so suddenly that I didn't have time to adapt my habits to mitigate some of the weight gain. Before, when I was super skinny, I could sit down and eat a whole large pizza in under half an hour and not gain any weight. Now if I have even two slices, I see the numbers on the scale go up. I've pretty much cut pizza out of my diet completely.

Personal trainers can be helpful to show you proper posture and correct anything you're doing wrong, but they can also be expensive. One thing I like to do with yoga is watch an online video and practice in front of a mirror to make sure I'm holding my body the same way as the person on the screen. I also have a yoga anatomy book that shows very specifically which muscles should be worked in which poses. Perhaps you can find something similar for weight training.

Keriberi - Thank you! I'm really trying to lose the weight the right way. I'm mostly concerned about making sustainable changes to my habits so once the weight comes off I don't find myself reverting to pizza and mac & cheese all the time.

Sounds like you're making a lot of progress figuring things out. I'll keep my FX that your timing works out, which I think it will. Hoping you won't have to go back to the consultant!

AFM - CD30. AF should be due any day now. I broke down and POAS earlier, but it was a BFN. Because I haven't been tracking, I'm not sure if that means anything yet. Based on averages, I would probably be around 12DPO now.

I'm also pretty stressed out lately, so that could be messing with my cycle. DH and I are talking about moving to a new town closer to where he works, but that has meant that I need to spend more out of my days getting things more presentable around here. Some days that means cleaning and other days it means construction. And all this while I have a toddler running around. It's a lot. I also have to wonder how much the stress is hindering my weight loss efforts.

DarkAries -- Its so sweet of you to keep track of my chart! I've been spotting for several days and yesterday, given my huge temperature dip, I was sure AF would start. At 4pm I had some red blood so I put my cup in, went for a run, and then showered. It turns out that there was only a bit of red blood. I haven't bled or spotted for almost 24 hours. Also, my temp went up *slightly* today (14 DPO), which is unusual for me after the big plummet.

I'm a bit bummed that I had two glasses of red wine and took an ibuprofen in the middle of the night for some bad AF cramps. I was sure it was AF because of the red blood, cramps, and low temperature, but she's not here yet. I just POASed to be sure. It was BFN. I think AF is just playing tricks on me. Hopefully she'll show soon. I'm ready to move on!

Kyrenora -- Thanks for the support with DH. Its good to hear that your DH is the same. Mine is usually great about discussing emotions but he does wall up sometimes and I can't predict it well. We had a nice evening last night. I didn't talk about TTC except to ask if he was definitely all in for trying this month. I don't want to get on Clomid (or any other meds) if we're not going to go for it. He said he's game. I'll talk to him more generally as he calms down some. It can take a few days after he shuts down like that to open up.

It sounds like you're almost at the end of your cycle. How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the stress. It definitely can impact your weight. Yoga should help with that. Is there a way you can prioritize yoga once a day 4 or 5 days a week? It sounds like you get so much out of it and its such a great activity for mind and body.

Aaaaaand AF finally committed to staying last night. I'm relieved she's here and I can start a new cycle. Its silly that the past two cycles have been impatient waits for AF rather than waits to test in hope for a BFP.

It turns out that my work travel is going to interfere with the required trans-vaginal ultrasounds that come along with using Clomid. This month will be our last TTC without meds. I really hope we can do it on our own this time!

Sending good luck vibes to the rest of you!

Hi ladies!

We got back from vacation late last week. We had a wonderful and relaxing time, but now it's back to the real world. Yuck!

I'm sorry I missed the earlier conversation about German food. My heritage is mostly German and Austrian (my grandparents were all either immigrants or first generation) so that food and culture play strongly in my life. I make things like spaetzle and red cabbage regularly. We're seeing family this weekend and part of the trip centers around food. My grandma used to make these plum dumplings. They're made with a potato dough and the little sweet Italian prune plums that you can only get this time of year. So good! My aunt makes them now, and I'm excited to be able to help with the cooking this year.

Crumpet- Sorry for AF, but I'm glad you are relieved to be starting a new cycle. Sending you lots of baby dust for your last natural cycle!

Keriberi- Hooray that your fertile window falls when you and DH are alone! Sounds like you two will need to plan a sexy night in when it gets close to O time!

Dark Aries- Good to hear from you! Thanks for stalking my chart, sweetie! I wish I had some answers for you (and me!). Good luck with the weight training!

Kyrenora- I agree with all the other gals-you are beautiful and talented! That's really cool that you run your own business, too! I don't knit or anything, but I am learning to sew. So far, I've really enjoyed it!

I'm sorry you don't have any answers about you weight. That can be so frustrating. I think we all have to find what works for us. DH and I walk every morning with the dog and I try to do yoga 3-5 times a week. We also do all our own cooking. It's a lot easier with two people working together. When we first started to get healthy and loose weight I was stuck at a plateau like you seem to be. We did a cleanse together which really helped to kick start the weight loss and also reset our systems so we started craving healthier foods. Maybe something like that would help you too? I know how hard the energy thing can be too. I don't have a toddler to chase, but I work one on one with kids every day and it can be exhausting! I always have more energy on the days that I drag myself out of bed in the mornings and walk. I'm always more tired on the days I sleep in. Maybe try to add a short daily walk with DD to go with your yoga routines? Good luck figuring it all out! We're always here if you need to vent, etc.!

Fable- I hope you are enjoying all your travels!

AFM- I'm still waiting for this eternal cycle to end. I spotted for the last two days and so far, today has been the same. Argh! I don't know why AF is taking her sweet time. I had my appointment with the specialist yesterday. Turns out that Factor V is not a condition that make it hard TTC or causes MC. I'm really frustrated because I thought that I was close to having an answer, but it turns out that I'm not. I will have to take a low dose blood thinner when I do get pregnant to prevent any clots from forming. So, my next step is to see an RE. One bright spot is that the RE that's now been recommended to me by two different gyn's is actually in network on my insurance. DH and I were both really upset last night so we didn't discuss it too much, but I think we'll be making the appointment with the RE soon.

Hi All

Crumpet - I have everything crossed for you for this final cycle without meds. Try to relax and enjoy and you never know what may happen. I wish you the very best

Janeite - Hope you had a nice break away. I am sorry you aren't getting the answers you need. I know how stressful it is but great news the RE is on the insurance. Make that appt. You'll be surprised I think how much it calms you down when you feel like you are doing something proactive.

Kyrenora - Wishing you the best in your weight loss journey. I am there with you. Currently eating the dreaded rice cakes at my desk in an effort to keep away from crisps and bread. Any news on AF?

DarkAries - Congrats on the weight loss! You must be in the CD 20's I guess. How are you feeling?

Sorry I have been a bit MIA - I think because I have the HyCoSy tomorrow (CD11) and we were told not to do it at all after AF showed in case (not that it has been an effort, we are too stressed and tired!) I haven't even thought about TTC, just been waiting for this to be done. We are in the midst of looking for a new home rental (move end of sept) so that is taking all our time. But we have a family birthday party on Saturday night and we are staying in a hotel so we should be able to BD this weekend uninterrupted. I just hope they spot a follicle or something and can tell me when they expect I may O. I really don't want this month to be a waste.

Hey DarkAries, I'm here!

How was this cycle for you?

The HyCoSy wasn't as bad as I feared. Only light cramping and spotting after. They had to do extra x-rays to see my right tube but said the rest looked fine. She could see a follicle on my left ovary but couldn't say if it was old or new! I had it on CD11 but my CM only just returned the last two days. We have just been BDing every other day since CD13 when I stopped spotting. I am currently CD18 and no idea if I even ovulated yet so nothing to report!

Hope EOE is feeling well and not to stressed!

Hey KeriBeri

It's gone so quiet over here.. this cycle was "F-bleeping" amazin ... remember we went the NTNP route... well all I have to say it worked!!!

Symptoms - there isn't much to talk about ... I had some af like cramps and back ache on DPO7, then on DPO8 I was bloated and gassy (TMI but hey you know we like sharing all) then on DPO9 my boobies started to I took the attached test on DPO11 cause I just had the feeling that I had too... oh and i've had the most vivid dreams for the 2nd part of the TWW... DH was also complaining that I was extremely hot some nights. (He has been complaining about heartburn too, which I'm not sure if it's at all related...but I hope it is)... No morning sickness yet...just the sore boobies (it's sore so even looking at it hurts LOL) ...but there has been a few occasion over the last few days where I've felt nauseous.

After hubs you ladies are the first I'm telling... Now just to wait another 2 weeks and then I"m making my gynie appointment.

I cannot tell you girls how nervous and excited I am. This is my last chart (as you can see I O'd late on CD16).

DarkAries!!!! :congrats: I'm so excited for you! That's such wonderful news!!!! Now you and Fable need to let your baby dust rub off on the rest of us! :D I'll be stalking for tests from you! P.S. I liked your knock knock joke.

Fable- Hope all your travels are going well!

Keriberi- So glad to hear that your test went well and that all looks good! Here's to bed night extra fertile this cycle! Thanks for the encouragement regarding the RE appointment. You're right, I probably will feel much better.

Andi- hello again, friend!

Crumpet, Kyrenora, and Ursula- Hope all is well!

AFM- Sorry I've been quiet again. We went away last weekend (it was a holiday here in the States). We had a nice trip, but didn't get back until Monday evening, which means that we've been playing catch up all week! Sadly, I don't think this weekend is going to be any more relaxing.

I talked with the gyn's nurse today about my cycle. She said to count the spotting as a period, since it mirrored my normal AF (3-4 days and on the light side). So that means that the temp jump on my chart indicates O. We're totally out this month, though, because our last BD was the day before the spotting, I think. At any rate, she said to go ahead and take the progesterone again, to kickstart a new cycle. I'm a little nervous about it, but I do want a fresh start. Hopefully, it'll work better this time.

Janeite happy to send loads and loads of baby dust to you and other girls.

Sorry that your cycles had been so crazy. I hope progesterone will work this time. If I correctly remember it didn't trigger AF the last time?
You guys have no idea how sincerely I am praying for you girls. We all deserve our babies and we will get those. FX for your BFPs.

Crumpet, how are things with you? I hope your dh is 'cooperating' with TTC. Lots of love to you

Ursula, hi :) would be happy to hear how you are. Drop a line if you are still reading this board

AFM, miraculously I somehow have avoided serious morning sickness so far. Turns out that runs in my family as my sister also didn't get much morning sickness.

I am slowly starting to gain weight, I reached 50kg (110lbs) last week but that seems to be water weight as it's fluctuating quite a bit.
I freaked out yesterdat as I noticed few specs of blood in my cm. But the doc says that's normal as I might have sensitive cervix and all that extra blood flow might be causing those specs ;) in general I am fine.no spotting or cramping.

DarkAries - NO FREAKING WAY!!! This is AMAZING NEWS!!! :bfp: :yay:

Fabel - So glad to hear you are well and the sickness is staying away!

Ladies, those two BFP's in the group have really boosted me. I feel :babydustg: in the air. So pleased for you and that chain reaction I hoped for seems to have started! Here's hoping for more good news in the weeks to come!

AndiA - So good to see you back! Hope you are feeling well

Janeite - I am wishing you all the best with the Progesterone. I hope it kickstarts AF for you and that a BFP is not too far behind. I know how hard it is but stay positive - We are right there with you!

Crumpet/Ursula/Kyrenora - I hope all is well
