Hi Kody! I'm new to these boards too. It looks like our timelines are pretty close. My husband and I have been trying for almost a year, so I'm hoping this is the month! As this cycle is coming to an end, I'm losing my mind testing daily and just waiting. Any updates on your end?

Hi! I'm Rachel. I'm in the middle of my cycle but would love to join you ladies. My dh and I are trying for baby #2. I had my IUD taken out in February and got pregnant in April much to my surprise because it took us 8 months with my first. I miscarried at 8 weeks and had a D&C in May. This is our 2nd full cycle since then. Hoping this is everyone's lucky month!

Welcome ladies! I'm sorry about the difficulties you both have experienced. DH and I have been trying for 13 months for baby #1. Naively, I never thought it would be this hard! July wasn't my month, but fingers crossed for August! Wouldn't it be amazing if we could all celebrate some good news? I'm on CD7 now, and on Sunday, we are heading on vacation for a week. Maybe that will be the relaxation and rejuvenation we need. When we get back, I'll be driving myself crazy with the TWW though. I look forward to chatting and getting through it together! Good luck to you!

A little get away sounds awesome! It will be a great distraction! My hubby has booked us vegas for my bday in November so if this cycle doesn't work I will have that to look forward to and if (when) it does work, well I guess I will see what Vegas is like sober!
Today I did my second shot of Gonal it was the first time I did it alone at home lol it didn't hurt but was still nerve wracking! So far no side effects but I am starting to feel more and more tired! Although I am unsure if that's the meds kicking in or just life lol Are you both doing unmedicated cycles? I will continue with my shots over the next few days with a E2 blood test sunday morning. Enjoy your weekends!!

Well, I had a great time on vacation. I'm hoping it was the relaxation I needed to make this work! I guess we will know in two weeks 8) We are still trying naturally... just using OPKs and taking prenatals. My doctor offered Clomid, but I wasn't ready yet. DH is going for SA in September if this isn't our month. If everything is fine with him, then I'll consider trying something more. If you don't mind, can you tell me what Gonal and E2 are?

Hope all is well!

this was my first time using gonal so my RE started my low on 75 iu from cd3-12 then a trigger shot. My E2 at trigger was 750 but I only had one follie measuring at about 18-20 on iui day. It was diaapppointing since I paid over 2k in meds just to produce what I naturally produce on my own. Guess we shall see I am currently 4dpiui

Hi ladies, Mind if I join? On CD 1 today. My back story, saw an RE last cycle and was told to call on CD 1 to schedule an HSG. So I have to do that today and I'm pretty terrified of having one done.

Roxy - there's no harm in waiting until your ready. I felt the same way with clomid at first and now my RE is pushing IUI. My husband and I both aren't ready for that just yet and want to give naturally a try some more.

Chantilly - What is gonal and e2? I see you're going through the IUI process now. I'm guessing those are the hormone drugs they give you? It is disappointing to have to pay so much for the drugs.

Andi - welcome :) I had a HSG a few years ago and honestly reading about it online was more terrifying then the procedure. It was super fast (less than 5 mins) and felt a lot like period cramps with some spotting after. It can be more painful if there is a blockage but its important to know if there are any problems! Gonal F is a injectable estrogen drug its designed to produce multiple follicles I tried clomid and didn't get results so injections are the next step up. E2 is your estrogen level usually it ranges from 200-500 per mature follicle at time of ovulation. It good to know how mature your egg has become. Yet with all this it can all still fail. lol Good luck with your test today! I am sure it will be fine :)

Thanks chantilly! I have it scheduled for next thursday on my CD 8. Ready to just get it over with! Thanks for the input of the fertility drugs. We may be going through IUI here shortly. We decided to give it a go naturally a few more cycles then proceed with IUI. I know what you mean about still failing that's one of our hold up about it. I know it's not as expensive as IVF and will be worth it but still scary thought that we could put $3k into it (which is a lot for us) and not succeed. That's why we are waiting a few more cycles.

Ladies, do you mind if I join?

Andi, I had HSG 2 weeks ago (CD8). As chantilly said it is not as terrifying as it might sound. I was in the clinic for like an hour, but it was the waiting, paperwork & prep that took longer. Actual test was super quick and the pain was something like one feels during pap. I did not even get period like cramps afterwards. I was told that the key is to stay relaxed, not tighten your muscles etc.

I totally understand you not feeling ready. We feel the same way. According to DP's SA, our chances of naturally getting pregnant are only 10% and IVF is highly recommended. But we understand that that's just a statistical conclusion and we want to keep trying until we are ready. His count is great and motility is also fine, its just their silly shape :(

We have only been trying for 7 months and his subfertility has not been proven. Even the doc said abnormal SA is much more common these days but many of those men do not get tested and somehow impregnate their partners. So anything is possible for us. We just know that its going to be difficult, might take longer but we trust it will happen for us.

Chantilly, I see that you are also TTC with male factor. We are in similar boats, girl!

Hopeful - 7 months is really not that long don't let them talk you into IVF just yet! Iui can be a less expensive way to try first since you get all the"hazards" out of the way and just put the sperm right where they need to be.

Andi- I know what you mean! even $1000 is a lot for us lol that's why we have to keep spacing our tries out by 4-6 months just to save money!

Chantilly, thanks for the kind words. We are keeping our heads up! It is just to good to know since the beginning that our journey will be tougher than others. Since we got tested, it really helped with TWW obsession lol Miracles take time!!!!!
so I did not symptom spot this month.

I feel like IUI is something that I would like to try sooner. Unfortunately, it is not an option at the moment as we will need donor sperm. DP is not comfortable with 'another man's sperm' fertilizing my ovum. I was quite disappointed when I found out how he felt. Maybe he will change his mind at a later stage. Maybe!!!! You are lucky that your husband is alright with donor sperm.

Hi ladies, thanks for the insight about the hsg rosey! Really feeling better the appointment now. Just want it to be over with! It's on thursday. And I know what you mean about being told that percentage. We got told we have 5-10% chance of conceiving naturally on our own because it's been about 2 years now. I know in my head it's stats but it's still hard to feel hopeful after hearing that and makes me so sad. So they are pushing IUI on us. Waiting a couple months before we move forward on that.

Where are ya'll on your cycles? CD 5 here. Trying to get on top of my water intake early so I can get more CM going.
