so I did not symptom spot this month.

I feel like IUI is something that I would like to try sooner. Unfortunately, it is not an option at the moment as we will need donor sperm. DP is not comfortable with 'another man's sperm' fertilizing my ovum. I was quite disappointed when I found out how he felt. Maybe he will change his mind at a later stage. Maybe!!!! You are lucky that your husband is alright with donor sperm.

The truth is he wasn't ok with it for a long time. We discovered his azoospermia a year after we married. I was 22 and not that upset cause who really wants a baby at 22? fast forward 6 years and baby fever kicked in. We fought, we cried and ultimatly disagreed. It took 2 more years for him to only start considering it. He was like your DH.. THE THOUGHT OF "ANOTHER MANS STUFF" in his wife creeped him out and angered him. It was important for him to see that he was never less than a man to me and that just because he wasn't going to be biologically related he will be our baby FATHER. We have kept our issues between us and are not telling our family we are using a donor nor will we tell any children we are blessed with. We also went to counselling and that really helped him cope with it. We grieved for the children we could not create. Some times I still mourn for them. At one point we talked of divorce so I could try and be a mother with someone else but the bottom line is I want a family WITH him. I want to see the bond grow between him and a child we created from love. So my only suggestion is to give him time. Look at all your options (we looked into adoption but the wait was too long and the price to high) or fostering (still a distant possibility for us) and above all else consider what is right for you. If he never changes his mind will you be okay living child free? I highly suggest speaking to a counsellor it can really help cope with all the feelings you both have. I have my fingers crossed for you :)

Oh Chantilly, thanks a lot for this lovely message and sharing your story. Its so comforting to not feel alone in this.

I have all those fears, things that you actually went through. You must be a very brave girl. I did tell him about counselling and he does realise that its unfair of him to deprive me of my chance of mothering my own children. But its just difficult for him. I am also trying to be understanding as its not really his fault that he is subfertile. Its just bad luck, that could have been me......We can blame his smoking but there are several men out there with sperm issues and they never smoked.

As you rightly mentioned, I did ask myself what would I want? A life without him or without a child? I love this man more than anything I ever loved so as the moment I cannot imagine a life without him. He is fine with adoption so am I, so that might be our last option.

But he first wants to try IVF with his own sperm and then think about donor sperm if things did not work out. But one needs a lot of money for IVF. At the moment, we have set a deadline for March 2017. If we are not able to get pregnant naturally until then, we are going to RE to assess the viability of IVF with his sperm. Hopefully, by June'17 we can start our IVF. In the meanwhile, every cell in my body will be praying for a natural BFP.

Thanks a lot again... Lots of love and hugs

Hopeful--I am glad you have a set date to begin looking at your options. I keep forgetting your DH does have sperm despite them not being the "best" I have read some suggestions on improving sperm quality. I cannot quote any thing as my DH never had a change to improve what did not exist for him. Maybe look into it? perhaps a visit to a urologist? Above all miracles do happen and I pray you will get yours. For now all I suggest is really learning your cycle, your length of LH phase and when you ovulate. Then you will know what your timing should be. I hope your natural cycle works for you! We have 2 more vials left if this cycle doesn't work so maybe in3-4 month we will have saved enough for another iui try and if that doesn't work I am considering a bank loan to try ivf.... I just don't know if I want to go into debt for a child we wont have the money to provide for!

Hi ladies, checking back in here. Hopeful - I think it's great that you've set a date to begin look at your options. Maybe I should do that with DH about IUI. Or atleast a resasset date.

Chantilly - how are you doing?

AFM - got that HSG tomorrow am, quite nervous but I know I'll be fine and just want it over with. We're house hunting this weekend so that gives me something to look forward too! I also found a box of pregnitude I purchased a while back that I never ended up finishing, giving it try on top of the COQ10 that the RE suggested. I figure why not!

Chantilly, I am giving him lots pf orange juice and brazil nuts so hopefully there will be some improvement. Thanks for the suggestion about my cycles. I am trying with BBT and cm monitoring so that should help. But I feel like its almost impossible to pinpoint exact O date. I end up narrowing it down to 2-3 days.

I ams orry that so occupied with my own little problems. I keep forgetting to ask how are you doing.

Andie, good luck with HSG and don't forget to update us. Hopefully, everything will be alright tomorrow.

so great news! HSG was all clear!! The little arctic shape she saw on the ultra sound wasn't there and my uterus is completely straight. My right tube gave me a scare because it didn't empty at first but when she went back to it, it did! PHEW! SO she said all is good and to try this month because I'll have higher odds!!

Hopeful - sorry if you arleady mentioned this but are you using OPKs? I do BBT and OPKs and that really helps me. Because with the opks I know O is coming and then the bbt confirms it. Plus with BBT for so lnog I've gotten a rough time frame of when I O.

my beta came back at 18? I only know this cause I logged onto my ehealth account and saw the result before my RE will. he sees them tomorrow. I don't know what to think some sites say anything over 10 is a positive others say it has to be over 25? I am terrified this is a chemical pregnancy. I didn't even tell DH cause I don't want him to get excited. I don't want to be excited. I feel sick to my stomach with worry. I should have never got nosy and checked. I have the paperwork for a repeat beta on Monday. guess I am in limbo until then? I feel heart sick

Chantilly, I know from this other group where a girl had beta at 17 and was positive. Its just that she tested too early but her numbers multiplied quickly. I am praying thats the case with you. FX for RE's call and next beta. I cannot help but feel happy for you. Hugs and lots of love

Andie, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, feet are directly related to uterus and a cold uterus is not ideal for conception. So in order to have a nice and warm uterus for the egg to implant, its recommended to keep feet warm by wearing socks. I hear some girls even use hot bottles warm up their uterus. I find this tip to be interesting and harmless to try. I have not taken off my socks in last 2 months
