TTC + Fitness Group!

Hi ladies!
I'm 28, and currently TTC #2. My hubby and I are not sharing our TTC plans right now with family and friends because we would really like to surprise them!!

Because the TWW can be a long wait, I was hoping to make this a dual purpose buddy group!
To pass the time in the TWW, I thought I would create a Fitness group within the TTC buddy chat!

So if your interested please leave a comment below!

I am a beginner at exercise so I do not expect anyone to be "fitness buffs"
I'm really just looking for some extra motivation to keep me moving!

Hi Kandii!

I'd like to join you. I'm 30 and also ttc #2. How do you find the time and energy to exercise? That's what I'm contending with. After 8 hours at the office and chasing around a toddler, the last thing I want to do is exercise or eat right. Did I mention I love to eat?

Maybe we can motivate each other!

I would love to join. I have recently lost quite a bit of weight but have let 8 lbs creep back in. My lowest weight this year has been 150 and my highest weight was 198.

We have also been TTC number 2 for bout 6 years now. I have pcos and was pretty much annovulatory unless on fertility meds for the better part of the 6 years. Since losing the weight I have had my cycles return on their own and had a chemical pregnancy in May. Hoping for a true bfp soon but know that the key to that is keeping what I have lost off and hopefully shedding a bit more too.

Hi Pumpkin!!
Welcome! The problem for me is also after working 8 hours then supper then bathing baby and such I am so exhausted. I also love to eat! That's why I wanted to start this group! Motivation for everyone!

Welcome Ursula!
I am so inspired to hear the journey you have taken with your weight loss! It takes such discipline and motivation to stay on track. I am so glad you decided to join us!

So a bit about me. I am looking to drop about 10 lbs of my post-pregnancy weight. I had gotten it all off at one point then gained it all back when I become overwhelmed with work and a toddler. But no more excuses! It's time to step up to the plate and get my body back. My son is 15 months old now.
I live in Canada so weather can be a big barrier to outdoor activities but none the less, exercise I shall!

Does starting Monday work for you ladies?
I will post a daily challenge (i.e. Do 30 jumping jacks today) and you ladies just need to post that it's completed! As the days go on it will get more difficult. If their is any reason why you can't complete the challenge for health/medical reasons just say "pass".
If you don't do a challenge on a day go ahead and post why.
It's good for us to be able to reflect on daily life and accept that some days we don't have the extra energy.
But we are here to motive each other.

Feel free to post healthy meals or snack ideas for the group as well!

And don't forget about the TTC! :)

That sounds like a great plan! I don't know about the jumping jacks though. I pee a little when I jump now!

My son is 19 months now, and it took almost a year to get pregnant with him. I had a miscarriage the month before and them boom! healthy pregnancy. I'm hoping the same will happen this time, as I just had a chemical pregnancy last month. I go in for a follicle study tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have lots of eggs ready to go!

Let's start Monday on the fitness. I'll not mention the bread and butter I just chowed down on...

I'm in Austin TX by the way!

Sounds like a plan. I am pretty much stuck in the same spot as far as weightloss goes. This might be just what I need.

Monday it is!!

Pumpkin is sounds like you had quite the journey to get to baby number one!
My son is 15 months old now, but I also had a miscarriage before him. Took us only 3 months to get pregnant the first time, had a miscarriage and that recovery took 5 months. Then we got pregnant with my son. We are hoping for a smoother pregnancy this time.

Ursula I am in the same spot as you. I managed to get off most of my pregnancy weight then half of it magically came back! :(

I will start the daily fitness challenges Monday!
I live in Canada so I'm probably a bit behind (time wise) then you ladies so I will try to post them earlier in the morning :)

Ok ladies!
So I figured that I would post a new challenge each evening. You have 24 hours from my post to complete the fitness challenge.
I will complete a round of 30 days. Then we can re-evaluate!
Please answer these first few questions before beginning.
Questions:
1. What is your goal for this fitness challenge? (I.e. Lose weight, tone up, etc)
2. Write down your weight today. We will want to reference it again at the end (you do not need to post this)

Day 1 fitness challenge: 30 squats. (You can do them all at once, in three sets of ten or two sets of 15)
If you google them, Google body weight squats.

Ok, I just finished my 30 squats. They weren't so bad! I think I squat all the time when I'm chasing the little boy around.

1. My goal is to lose some weight so that I'm healthy for my second pregnancy.
2. I definitely don't need to write down my weight :( those numbers are seared into my brain. Ugh.

So, for the TTC part... I did go to the doctor last Friday, and the nurse practitioner said that I'll probably ovulate from both sides this month. That's great news! Twice the chance to get pregnant, hopefully. However, it's already CD14, and I haven't ovulated. My OPK is still coming up negative, and I've tested twice today already. We BD'd last night and the night before. DH is out tonight and tomorrow night though. Hopefully we can get one more BD session in.

How are the two of you doing?

I finished my 30 squats as well. I can feel them burning immediately after. I did them all in one set.
My goal is to tone up my body. I am ok with the weight as long as I can get the flab part to go away.

I am still on AF so there is zero BDing going on over here. My cycles tend to be about 30-32 days long.
Probably got 1 to 2 more days of AF then I wait to O! Lol.

Pumpkin - how long are you cycles usually?
I tend to O around CD17. Depending. I'm glad to hear the doc thinks you'll O from both sides!!

30 crunches challenge complete! I found this one didn't burn as badly as the squats did! :rofl:

Well, I didn't do my crunches last night :( By the time I got the baby to bed and did housework, it was already 9 so I showered and went to bed. I'll do them today on top of your next challenge!

I think I can do the walking... Just have to wait for it to cool off. It was 99 degrees outside last I looked.

My cycles are pretty short, which is why I'm on Femara. This is only my second cycle on it, so I'm not sure how long they'll be now. Good news though, I finally got a positive opk today! I know what I'll be doing tonight after my walk ;)
