Andi - Totally relate, I had a full blown anxiety attack last night. DH was so freaked out he didn't know how to help me :( I finally calmed down and took ibuprofen and went to bed but I'm exhausted today both physically and mentally. Luckily it feels like fall here in the best way today so it's helping my mood. I'm trying to focus on the silver linings for now - I might be having that HSG next week, and that will either answer some ?s or possibly help us get a BFP. I have no idea how to fully cheer myself up though. Wine? Lol I knew this was really AF when it got heavier over night and then this AM the cramps really kicked in. Last night it was so light and I had almost no cramps, I think my anxiety attack was largely that I somehow convinced myself I was having an ectopic. This morning I realize I had no reason to think that. I'm not in pain like I would be AT ALL. I just get myself so paranoid and worked up! Have to stop doing that. Sigh. Today is just dragging. I'll update if/when I know when my HSG will be!
EDIT - They couldn't get me in this month, booked solid :( Have an appt for Oct 28, hoping AF cooperates and arrives within the correct window for that to happen, or else I get a BFP and don't need it! :x

Awww Kris, yes I know exactly how you feel!! It's so hard and an emotional process. I like how you're looking at the silver linings I need to remind myself of them frequently too.

I get it. In august when I didn't get straight answers from my RE and basically she told us we needed IUI I could NOT cheer myself up. I don't know how I did... I guess time helped and keeping busy. It sounds like you're on the right path though!! I like your thinking and we still mimic each other. I had to wait an extra month for my HSG. So I get it! I always tell myself everything happens for a reason even if I don't know that reason and even IF it's hard to remember that haha.

Anyways watching dancing with stars tonight has cheered me up. Love that show! And a glass of wine. ;-)

Kris, I swear the HSG is not as bad as it sounds. I had one before we started the whole IUI process last December. I'm surprised though to hear that you do it more for reasons of increasing the chances of pregnancy. I've never heard of that in this respect. I had to do due to legal regulations (in the country I live in), that only allow you to do IUI if a HSG proves your tubes are not blocked (in order to prevent etopic pregnancies).

Andi, sorry to hear you're out as well. You said your doctor suggested IUI. Will you guys go for it? It's very non-invasive and not a big deal in terms of time. Will your insurance cover some of it?

I went back to my doctor today to get more of the antenatal meds (Omega 3, multivitamin, baby aspirin, folic acid, magnesium) and didn't even bother with the blood test since another test today - 14dipiu - showed a BFN again.
Are you guys both taking any vitamins recommended to take during TTC?

I think for myself - in order not to get too frustrated - I try to distract myself till the next ovulation/iui and try to do all the things I wouldn't be allowed to do during the TWW and during pregnancy, most importantly: drink all the good wine, hehe and eat all the amazing cheese, charcuterie, salami (I come from Europe, we pretty much are raised on that stuff only ;-)

Hope - That's some good advice! I think I need to do that while I wait for O.

How is your IUI going?? I'm curious about the transfer or injection of the sperm... don't know correct termology. What was that like? I think that's the biggest thing for us is that, it wouldn't be just a one on one act between my husband and I. I asked my RE if I could just do all the proceedings/meds up to that but she said, I could but she wants me to get the most bang for my buck so to speak since most of the costs are in the meds and visits.

My insurance doesn't cover any of the IUI cost. It didn't even cover my HSG! Ugh. So we are looking at close to $3,000(USD) for it. We would need to save up for that so it would be a couple of months if we did decide to do that.

I'm going to take that 3rd round of clomid my OB prescribed me that I never took. I am taking CoQ10 advised by my RE and I read a study online that says clomid combined with CoQ10 can increase your chances vs taking clomid alone.

I'm actually not too worried about the HSG, I've heard before it's super quick. I'm just more anxious to get it done! Primarily I'm doing it as part of my infertility work up, to see if my tubes are open. But hey, if there is an added bonus of possibly cleaning you out and making it easier to conceive, I'll take it lol!
Hope - I've been taking Geritol as a multi vitamin, a folic acid supplement, b6, e and fiber and sometimes a probiotic, as I have IBS so those last two help with that. I was taking a parental for forever but I didn't feel like it was doing much for me. Soon as I started taking Geritol I felt hungry for like a week! I think it kick started my metabolism or something.

Andi - How did that DWTS thing go? I haven't watched for a couple years but I heard someone got attacked?! Lmao Wine and that would make for an entertaining evening.

Feeling much calmer myself. AF is just about done here. A little anxious about trying again this cycle, I guess that's a bit natural given I felt so damn SURE this past one. But I still have a couple of weeks until O time for me since my cycles are longer than average. So for now, relaxing and trying to stay distracted basically :)

Same here kris! Just some left over spotting today. I feel the same. I'm pretty calm but in the back of my head I know I'll be devastated if this cycle doesnt give me my bean.

This was my first month TTC and got a BFN and now I am again in the TWW and hoping for a BFP. I was so hopeful the first month, but now I am just trying to relax.

Ladies, It's been a while and I wanted to see what your results of this cycle were?
For me, it was unfortunately a BFN and I'm currently 9dpiui (2nd round) and will do a test on Wednesday (in three days) - somehow I already know though that it didn't work out... :(

Hey ladies - sorry I went MIA. I think I needed time not thinking about it, as much as possible. I was starting to obsess in a bad way :/ AF came today, so I'm still a BFN. My HSG is next FridY though! Hopefully answers soon. How is everyone?

Hi Krisaten! Welcome back! I had an HSG in August done. Good luck! This cycle I'm trying the clomid challenge test. I'm on 100mg of clomid had blood work on CD3 and just had more today on CD 10, to see if my ovaries are being stimulated by the drugs. I understand the obsessing part. No worries!

Oh wow, exciting!! Let us know how the tests turn out. 8 really hope the drug helps you. I have a feeling that will be my next step as long as the HSG doesn't reveal any issues. My dr mentioned clomid way back in April.

Just got home from my HSG. Both tubes are wide open! Feeling very relieved on an otherwise stressful day (the dr office told me they sent my rx to the hospital so I wouldn't need to bring it. They didn't. I waited over three hours to get my test because I had to wait for them to find and send it over. Effing nightmare.) But the radiologist said he sees no blocks at all. The dye went right through immediately. Big weight off my shoulders to know.

Just FYI - when we got pregnant from our 1st IUI round in January, it was shortly after the HSG and our obgyn said that flushing the tubes helps a lot of women with IUIs being successful, so the next round might be just your lucky one : -)
Which round of IUI are you on now?
