Momma, I have never been offended by you. We may be at different points in TTC, but we are all going thru the same emotional roller coaster. I think it's nice having people who have been thru this before who now have kids, it gives me hope!
I don't have a 'usual' o so it is really hard to predict. If the femara works the way it did the first 2 cycles, I would o right in the middle of the few days my DH is away. It's annoying, because if I did o then, 10dpo would be my birthday (21st October, momma!) and how great would that be if I got a BFP on my bday? And it's a last minute work trip as well. I am actually hoping I o a few days late again this cycle just so we are in with a shot - if only we could choose our o-day each month hahahahaha!!!!

Thank you Loz, that makes me feel better and Iḿ glad to give you hope. what days do you take femara? Ive read days 3 thru 7 and 5-9. How many cycles have you used it? Ive prob asked before and forgot but how long have you been ttc? Did you get use opks before the femara and get positives? I asked my dr to put me on it just to give it a try and she wouldnt. Said she wasnt familiar with it and since I was getting positive opks that I was for sure oing on my own and didnt need it. That may well be but Ive seen many people on it or clomid even oing on their own but gives a stronger o. I mean what can it hurt? My ob of 13 years retired just this year and Iḿ so bummed bc I know she wouldve let me try something. Itś not like I have years to keep on doing nothing. I wonder if the days 5-9 would make you o later to make sure dh is home. Yes choosing our o day would be nice!!! I hope you get a birthday bfp!!

Star I so admire that you are so positive. I dont recall you ever being negative about anything. I hope you got some better news today :)

Andi how are your opks looking?

Danaa I hope you got your mattress pad washed ok.

Whoz how are you doing? When do you plan on testing? Wow 3 of us have oct bdays :)

Ok now for the rest of my ladies,
Courtney you seem to have recovered pretty quickly from ur surgery, yay!!By the way have you checked your AMH before teh surgery?!
Whoz tomorrow you will be getting those crosshairs!!Looking forward for ur pipi sticks lol.
Loz is ur husband going to be away for a few months?!or what did I read?!If I were you I would try and see my doc soon of change doctors and switch to injectables with a trigger shot, your only problems is ovulation and i think with one a few cycles of injectables you will get that bfp.
Andi Fx you get that bfp for ur anniversary.
My husband's birthday is on October the 6th,he is a libra:)) and so is my dad.
I haven't been able to keep up with the posts and I apologize, today I was really busy and what did I do I had no idea Bcs I didn't managed to do half of the things I wanted, that stupid cover gave me a headache but finally is on the balcony and I'm hoping it will be dried tomorrow or the next day,it might take a while Bcs is huuuuuge,I honestly don't understand why the F is so huuge.
Anyway here I'm in bed with a headache and trying to go to sleep but i can't:( I read somewhere that prednisone can affect ur sleep if you take it at night and im probably going to have to change my schedule starting Monday bcs I'm adding progesterone as well,im not looking forward to progesterone bcs of the messiness down there but I'm going to buy some everyday liners to use.

Momma, we have been trying for about 16 months now for #1. I take the femara days 2-6.
If you have PCOS, OPKs are meaningless - OPKs test for LH surges. When you have PCOS, your body is constantly trying to ovulate and failing because of the cysts and other hormone levels. Which means the LH surges several times a cycle. So I did use OPKs originally, but then my specialist basically said its pointless to use them with PCOS. So I don't understand your GP! OPKs don't confirm ovulation - the only thing that can do that is hormone tests CD14 & 21?
Dana, DH is only going for a few days at a time. He has been travelling weekdays for the last month and then back at the weekends. He wasn't supposed to do anymore until late October but he just had another trip scheduled :(
Whoz, I know so many people with birthdays around 18-23 October, must be something in the timing haha!
Star, just know we are all thinking of you and hoping for a positive outcome xx
Dana, it is quite hard to get specialist appointments here. If you want to see a new endo it is around a 6 month wait. Mine is one of the best in Sydney, so I'm pretty lucky. The problem is she doesn't have a lot of appointments available, and last time I saw her I'd had 2 28 day cycles on the femara dosage. So she scheduled our next appt for Jan, and now I wouldn't be able to get an appt with her any earlier so I just have to hold out. It's frustrating, but I'm just going to work on staying healthy and look into what I can do to improve egg quality. Anyone have any tips? I already take pretty much every vitamin under the sun.
Also dana, it sounds like you are 'nesting' and getting ready for a BFP!

Loz - I have a close colleague with PCOS who successfully had #1 and is now working on #2. She is on metformin and her specialist just suggested she do the loetrezole to help with ovulation on this next cycle.

AFM - it is not always easy to stay positive. My parents had a philosophy they taught me : you might not be able to control what is happening to you or actions by others but you can control how you are going to respond. If you respond with positive energy, then positive is what you are going to experience. I try really hard to do that and focus on the good things going on in my life.
I had all of these expectations that this IVF was going to work that it was such a shock to hear that we had not a single candidate for transfer. The office then failed on so many levels to communicate with me about what was going on that it added unnecessary stress. I had a very poor experience with that aspect of it. At least this morning, my local nurse (who I see to track the stimulation --- this DR has a number of different offices) called me first thing to talk about it.

Loz I tried to tell my dr that even though people get positive opks that doesnt actually mean you are ovulating. Im pretty sure I o but I think my progesterone levels might be low due to lower temps after o and the pre af spotting. I did have pcos before I lost a bunch of wight. I dont think pcos every goes away but the symptoms can improve with weightloss. I use to have like 100 day cycles at my heaviest. I also still get the hair problem where you really arent supposed to have hair even though Ive lost the weight and my cycles are more regular. I get positive opks every month and usually just a day or two depending on which brand Iḿ using. The months I used ANSWER brand I get them for like 4 or 5 days in a row which was completely frustrating. Iḿ really going to try and get back into temping this next cycle to see if anything has changed. My last two cycles have been 30 days and the 2 prior were 37 days. I was shocked to o so early this month. Maybe Iḿ just getting more regulated as Ive lost about 15 more lbs. I just get frustrated with my new dr bc shes a dr and are suppose to know these things. I wish we could afford an re but it just isnt possible since our insurance doesnt cover anything fertility related. Considering we have 4 kids I dont think we would do anything more than clomid or femara anyway. My dh worked in the oil field for a couple years and was around a bunch of chemicals and the warning on the boxes stated could cause infertility. Iḿ wondering with him being around the chemicals could have affected his sperm possibly. Heś no longer working around them though and hasnt been for awhile. We took a break from ttc about the time he quit working there so possibly his sperm couldve regenerated by now. I know it takes about 3 months for sperm to regenerate. So hopefully now we can get pregnant now. Having the small amount of endo removed and them pushing the dye through my tubes also couldve helped. Iḿ thinking about trying the mucinex around o time again as I dont have very good cm at all. Green tea helps me too. I tend to get kind of dehydrated. I have also added the coq10 to help with egg quality. Loz have you tried vitex? I did for a couple months and didnt notice much. Also maca root is suppose to help both men and women in the fertility department. Ive read a lot of great things about it. Have you tried that? I can imagine it is frustrating not having dh around all of the time so you dont miss o. I had another friend on here who had the same issue but she finally got him home at o time and got pregnant but followed by a miscarriage twice. Sheś finally pregnant again and things are going much better. Loz i wish you could get in to your specialist sooner. Did they tell you what the next step would be if the femara didnt work? Has your dh had a SA? Have you tried the Coq10? It is def suppose to help with egg quality. There are two kinds ubniquol and ubiquizone. I know I totally spelled that wrong but I read you need the ubniquinol kind. Itś pricey but I think if you havent tried it yet do so and the maca root.

Danaa my dr didnt test my AMH or FSH levels prior to surgery. I asked her about it and she said aslong as she didnt take anything off my ovaries then my reserve shouldńt change and she didnt have to so I should still be ok there. October 1 will be here before you know it and I am so excited for you. I hope and pray for you that you get twins.

Star Iḿ so sorry round 1 didnt work for you. I cant imagine how you must feel. Iḿ praying for you. Can you do the meds again to get more eggs and try again this month since your transfer wasnt going to be until November? I know you probably spent a fortune on meds and the retrieval alone. I really dont understand the process and I hope you dont mind me asking questions.

Andi a bfp would be amazing for your anniversary :) Im hoping the clomid and coq10 does the trick for you this month. Howś your opks looking? I hope you are still feeling positive.

Whoz you finally got crosshairs :) when do you plan on testing?

Fly I hope you are doing well and able to get some rest :) What do you do for work?

Iḿ sorry if I missed anyone. I hope everyone has a pleasant day :)

Hello all. Happy Friday!

What is everyone up to this Friday (or, this weekend)? It's fun hearing about your lives.

Fridays my DS :baby tumble: and I volunteer at a nursing home. He has lots of "grandmas" there. ;-) They love seeing and holding him and he flirts with them. My husband works full time and studies part time for a certification but I told him that every Friday night we HAVE to do something together. So, he takes a break on Fridays. Tonight we are going to drink coke and have popcorn and watch a redbox (our usual cheap date). I just love DH. Sigh. Doesn't hurt that he's insanely hot, too!

Loz as long as you trust your doctor nothing else matters.I hope your husband will be around for when ur ovulating,i myself had a few stressful months regarding ovulation and timing,I used to travel back forth Romania-Greece but everything worked out in the end.Living a healthy lifestyle and keeping up with ur vitamins is enough, more than that I don't know what else I could recommend, only hogsweed tincture wich is doing wonders regarding ovulation.
Star hugs, your positive attitude is so refreshing. You are absolutely right we can only control our response in these kind of situations and you are doing a wonderful job.My honest opinion is that communication is super important in this whole process and if your doctor or nurses can't fix this i suggest to take ur buisness elsewhere,we pay a huuge amount of money and we have the right to be kept up to date with everything ON TIME!!Im looking forward to hear what ur doctor has to say at ur apoiment, even if for some reasons you can't do a transfer with day5 embryos there are tons of succes stories with day3 embryos and also there is no better place for a little one to develop than his mommy' s uterus,no amount of technology can replace that.
Everyone else hello, weekend is here and I can't believe how fast the days are going by lately,I think the drugs are finally affecting me Bcs im hungry all the time:))I just ate a huge salad with a huge steak and im still hungry.....so far i haven't gained any weight or lost any and I'm hoping to keep it this way.
